The Alpha King and His Luna

Celeste endured the whip hitting on her back. She’s already used to this kind of punishment. Punishment? She laughed to herself. She never done anything wrong but they all thought it was her fault. That's why in order to really punish her that she knows to herself that she did it, she do stupid things. Ginawa man niya o hindi, siya pa rin ang may kasalanan at sisisihin nila. So, it was better to commit mistake and be punish than to be punish without committing mistakes. The pain on her back, she could no longer feel it. Namanhid na yata siya dahil maraming beses na siyang naparusahan ng latigo at gawa pa ang latigo sa pilak. Ang kahinaan nilang mga taong-lobo pero sanay na siya sa ganito. Since she was a child, she experienced all kinds of bullying. She was being beaten, not being favored, looked down, and almost killed. She suffered and her family casted her out. Lumaki siya na sa sarili lamang niya umaasa. Lumaki siya ng mag-isa. My family? They are the first one who treats her that way. Her whole pack was disgusted on her and doesn’t care if she dies from beating. Trinato siya na parang basura. Mas lumala ang pambu-bully na naranasan niya nang sumapit ang ikalabing walong kaarawan niya. The right age of shifting but she didn’t shift. Celeste hoped that their treatment of her would change but she was wrong. She used to think that if the Moon Goddess knew all about these things happening to her? Nagbubulag-bulagan ba ang Moon Goddess dahil sa mata ng lahat isa siyang sumpa. Hindi niya rin alam kung bakit ganoon ang tingin nila sa kaniya? Tinanong ni Celeste ang Moon Goddess dahil sa kaniyang mga paghihirap at nagsimula rin siyang hindi maniwala sa Dyosa ng Buwan. Kung siya talaga ang Diyosa ng mga hindi pangkaraniwang nilalang, bakit hinayaan ng Dyosa na magdusa at maghirap ng ganito ang isang katulad ni Celeste? Dahil sa ganung pagtrato nila sa kaniya, natutunan niya kung paano gumawa ng mga kalokohan at natutunan niya rin kung paano lumaban upang ipagtanggol niya ang kaniyang sarili. And she also learned how to kill others to protect herself. Celeste learned not to leave any trace if she will do something silly. Even she didn’t shift, the werewolf’s abilities within her became stronger and she discovered a new ability within her. She can control minds of the animals around her and command them. Ang kakayahan na ‘yon ay itinuring pa rin niyang isang biyaya sa kabila ng mga paghihirap na nararanasan niya.   “That’s for pushing your sister!” Celeste’s father angrily said as he angrily whipped his own daugther. He was raging and fuming mad. Instead of winching in pain, Celeste curled up the corner of her lips. I should have just killed her. She told herself. Celeste’s father is the Alpha of the pack while her mother, she died after giving birth of Celeste and her twin sister but they regard Celeste as the killer of her own mother. The Alpha, her father removed the chain on her feet and left her bloodily at the basement. She knew her father doesn’t care about her. All he cares is about her twin sister being. She had a twin sister but they are fraternal. Hindi niya alam ngunit lahat ng tao sa pack nila ay sobrang inaalagaan ang kakambal niya samantalang siya ay walang pakialam ang mga ito. Pero wala na siyang pakialam pa doon. Shaking, Celeste stood up and she nearly fall down but she held her ground. She left the basement and went to her room. Nasa atique ng pack house ang kwarto niya. Maliit lamang ito ngunit komportable siya. Celeste used wet towels to clean her wound and just let it be. She didn’t put anything on her wound. Humiga siya sa maliit na kama at natulog. Nang magising siya wala na ang kaniyang mga sugat. Agad kasi na naghihilom ang sugat niya dahil siguro nasanay na ang katawan niya sa silver whip. She was already immune with the silver whip so her wound heals faster. “Celeste, get down and cook for me!” Catherine yelled from downstairs. Everyone in the pack regards Catherine like a gem because of her beauty while they regard Celeste as a trash. A big difference. Their father doesn’t treat Celeste as his daughter and Catherine doesn’t regard Celeste as her sister either. Kaya naman matagal ng kinalimutan ni Celeste na pamilya niya ang mga ito. Sa isip niya hindi nga siya tinuring na pamilya bakit naman niya ituturing ang mga ito na pamilya. Sighing, Celeste gets up from her small bed and made her way downstairs. She saw Catherine fuming mad but she doesn’t care. “You’re useless pathetic!” Catherine yelled in disgust but Celeste ignored her. Sanay na siyang tinatawag siyang ganun ni Catherine at para sa kaniya sweet endearment yon sa kaniya ni Catherine. Napansin ni Celeste ang suot ni Catherine. She’s wearing an expensive outfit. Well, most like every day she’s wearing expensive clothes and jewelries. But Celeste knew the reason why is Catherine wearing too much expensive clothes and jewelries. It’s because the Alpha King is making a surprise visit to every pack looking for his mate. Hindi niya kilala kung sino ang Alpha King dahil hindi pa niya ito nakita. The Alpha, her father, never took her to any party in the Royal Palace. Si Catherine ang laging kasama ng Alpha kaya naman ang alam ng lahat ay iisa lamang ang anak ng Alpha ng River Valley Pack.   Celeste knew that Catherine wants to be the queen, so she arranges herself that way. Though they both already reach the right age, Catherine has never met her mate and they were hoping that it would be the Alpha King since the Alpha King has never met his mate since he ascended the throne. But who cares who will be Catherine’s mate? She doesn’t care and she will never care. Celeste only wanted to escape from this hellish place. Hindi niya pinansin si Catherine at naglakad sa harapan nito. Agad namang hinawakan ni Catherine ang braso ni Celeste ng mahigpit. Celeste winced because Catherine’s long nail dug into her skin. “Let go.” Celeste spoke with no emotion. She could feel the nails digging into her skin but she ignored it. Her eyes and her voice held with no emotion. There’s no reason for her to show any emotion. Because she is like a living dead now. “Loser, go and cook for me!” Catherine ordered Celeste like she was ordering a servant. “And don’t give me that kind of look!” Tiningnan lamang ni Celeste si Catherine saka siya pumunta sa kusina para magluto ng pagkain nito. Nang makapasok siya sa kusina, lahat ng tao roon ay nagsialisan. Umalis sila isa-isa na parang may nakakahawa siyang sakit at ayaw nilang mahawaan. Napailing na lang si Celeste at ginawa na ang dapat niyang gawin sa kusina. She cooked for Catherine’s breakfast then she saw the unwashed dishes piled on the sink. Hinugasan na lang niya ang mga ito dahil alam rin lang niyang uutusan siya upang hugasan ang mga ito at may kasama pang bulyaw. After washing the dishes and preparing for Catherine’s breakfast, Catherine entered the kitchen with the Alpha. Yumukod si Celeste sa dalawa kahit ayaw niya sana dahil para sa kaniya hindi naman sila karespet-respeto. “The Alpha King will come next week. Though his Beta didn’t say which day but be prepared, okay? I’m sure you will be pick because you’re so beautiful, my daughter.” Alpha said to his daughter lovingly. Catherine smiled sweetly. Tumaas ang sulok ng labi ni Celeste. I bet she won’t be the Alpha King’s mate and she won’t be pick. She’s too arrogant because of her beauty and intelligent. “But what if I’m not his mate?” “It doesn’t matter, my daughter. The Alpha King has a hard time finding his mate. I heard that if still didn’t find his mate, he will pick the most beautiful she-wolf and I’m sure you will be pick.” Alpha patted his daughters’ head. Gustong masuka ni Celeste dahil sa scenario na nasa kaniyang harapan. Nakakasuka ang nakikita niya kaya naman naglakad siya ng tahimik paalis sa kusina. “Sandali lang.” Pagpigil ng Alpha kay Celeste. Celeste stopped. “Next week, the Alpha King will be here. Go at the mountain and don’t show yourself. You might scare the Alpha King, you ugly pathetic loser.” Sabi ng Alpha kay Celeste. The Alpha’s words are like a knife that stab Celeste’s heart but she swallowed it and answered with firm voice. “Yes, Alpha.” And I hope you die. Matagal ng gustong umalis ni Celeste sa pack na ‘to pero hindi pwede dahil alam niyang may nanonood sa bawat galaw niya. She wanted to escape from this hellish place but the Alpha of the pack wouldn’t let her and punished her by flogging. Pero umaasa siya na makakaalis rin siya sa lugar na ‘to. I need to endure little more.
