CHAPTER FOUR

-THIRD POV- In the far corner of Raffa's private office, Ridge slouched down on the couch and spoke out, "Explain." The alpha was studying significant business documents behind his marble desk as he entered. "Unfortunately, my wolf, Rachet, and I discovered that she's our mate," Raffa replied in a monotone voice, not bothering to spare him a glance. Ridge slumped back in his seat and remarked, "She's a human."The Raffa eventually halted what he was doing in response to his comment, straightened his back, and grinned. "Yes, she is a witty human." Beta shook his head. "Bro, does she already know about us? It is only proper to let her know about our kind if the Moon Goddess selected her to be your mate. To learn everything there is to know about us." Ridge was given a serious look as Raffa stated, "No, not yet. It's too early to take that action." "I believe you should inform her right away. She makes it challenging for our pack warriors to move around the property. She'll find out about our secret sooner or later. that we differ from typical humans." "I couldn't risk the effects of informing her about us too soon," Raffa sighed deeply once more. "Not till the month after." As his alpha's response piqued his interest, Ridge raised his eyebrow and asked, "What about next month?" "Look, she's still a mortal even though she's my mate. I shouldn't make an impetuous choice because I'm an alpha. People who reside outside of our land know nothing about us. She has only one month to persuade me that she is worth it for me to be willing to gamble. I'll have my final judgment up until then. If I tell her everything about us. In the meantime, I ask that you all use caution when shifting inside the compound. Is that clear?” Ridge nodded in awe of his superior. It makes sense why he is their leader. Raffa makes difficult choices, but he does so in the best interests of the Blue Moon pack. No wolf in that realm can abandon their partners just for their humans. “But... Suppose she fails?" Ridge asked again as the thought immediately entered his mind. After shrugging his shoulders, the alpha replied, "Then I'll release her." Ridge sighed. That is absurd. They would lose their Luna if Raffa set the human free. He knew him too well, though. The fact that Raffa's decision cannot be changed causes Ridge to mentally swear. He was aware of what happens to wolves who turn down their mates. It resembles suicide. Ridge shook his head and wished the Moon Goddess knew what she was doing. That there's an acceptable reason she picked that rebellious, naughty person out of all the women in the world to be Raffa's mate. He has no choice but to believe that there must be a justification, and there should be one. ____________ -SHIN- "How I despise him! I despise him so much! That cretin! He's a thief as well as a kidnapper! He stole my very first kiss, how dare he! Oh, we'll be sorry. I'll make sure that he is held accountable for harassing my defenseless lips. I'm not a moron to let things go like that. To permit that i***t to treat me any way he pleases. He won't get me, I promise!" Never. Over my dead body! "I find it hard to imagine that such an attractive being as that guy could commit such heinous acts of evil. I despise him. I'll never be able to forgive him! That Raffa Greyson is insane! He's a psycho! I am always conscious of how beautiful I am and that's maybe the reason he became obsessed with me, but he's going too fast," I cried hard and I don't care if my voice could be heard on the other side of the world. I was having the biggest drama of my life and no one could stop me from expressing myself! Heck! I mean, I could not be blamed. The jerk was too advanced. I could not understand why he suddenly made an obscene proposal. I'd like to at least get flowers and presents initially. To be treated like a princess. "But no! That attractive slime is doing the reverse! How dare he kiss me without my consent!" Like a pig being killed, I bawled. "So you think I'm attractive? Speaking of the devil! I flinched. When I turned to face the door upon hearing that familiar voice, Raffa Greyson's figure was visibly leaning against the door frame. My eyes started to squint and my jaw tightened. I sat up from my slouched position on the floor and shouted, "You!" I was going to assault him when a teenage girl suddenly materialized in front of me, which caused me to stop and nearly jump in astonishment. “Hi!" she chirped and grinned widely as she gazed in wonder at me. 'What the heck!' I took a step back, grasped my chest, and mentally groaned. 'And just who the hell is this rabbit?' Her unexpected appearance prevented me from hitting Raffa. And when she screamed and jumped to hug me, I was stunned. "Oh my god! Then it's true!" The girl mumbled something and plopped her face in between my tender breasts. My eyes grew wider. 'Wtf? Why is this lass clutching me like there's no tomorrow and who the F is she?' "Hey, jerk! What's this?" I asked Raffa Greyson, slightly irritated but he merely shrugged his shoulders and gave me a breathtaking smile that made me sneer. 'The ass is gorgeous. The more he grins and smiles, the more appealing he becomes. See what a travesty it is? Why did Moon Goddess give him that attractive face?' "Ella Greyson here," I was startled out of my thoughts when the girl who was still tightly clutching me introduced herself. "I am Raffa's younger sister, and I guess you are my brother's girlfriend, am I right? I can't wait to tell my mum about this, by the way." Then she let go of me. After immediately taking oxygen to make up for the sudden lack of it, I winced as Ella's words sunk into my consciousness. 'What? Girlfriend of Raffa? What is being discussed by this tiny thing? Does she wish for me to die in abject disgust?' I couldn't help but snicker as Ella Greyson grinned broadly in my direction. 'Ok, I admit that she's cute.' "Raffa is correct, you're so gorgeous," she mumbled and I huffed. She also seemed risky. She seemed to be skilled at using words to win people over. I turned to her big brother, who I hated the most and when our eyes met, I almost grabbed my chest as my heart jumped crazily. As Raffa winked at me, his lips extended into a sheepish simper. As a result, I became aware of the devil's lethal charm.
