CHAPTER FIVE

-SHIN- 'Should I find this funny or not?' For the past thirty minutes Ella had been babbling incoherent things, and I began to worry whether she could be becoming exhausted from talking so much. My eyes landed on the doorframe. Raffa had already left, leaving his chatty sister and me all by ourselves. "Oh, I believe dinner is ready!" I felt a sense of relief as the girl clapped her hands together and exclaimed. Finally! "Let's go eat, come on! "Once more, I was in a state of shock as she pulled me from the bed. Damn! She is incredibly resilient for a girl her age. "Wait a minute, dear." I stopped Ella as she was ready to drag me out of the room, asking, "Where are you taking me? Oh, it's time for dinner, big sis, so come on over to the dining room. By the way, what's your name?" she asked after pausing for a moment. “Shin.” As Raffa entered the room once more and uttered my name, we both jerked our heads back. "Ella, go first. I'll bring Shin to the dining room a little later," he declared. Ella pouted before breaking into a big smile. “Okay, I'll see you in the dining room later, Shin." Ella gave me a warm embrace before she left. I sighed mentally. She exudes vitality. Full of life. Even though her brother is a jerk, I couldn't help but like her. I then turned my focus back to Raffa and glared at him firmly. 'Wait a second. How could he know who I was? How is he able to correctly guess my name when I don't recall giving him access to any of my personal information?' Raffa Greyson handed me a recognizable blue shoulder bag as I opened my lips to ask him about my worry. I was taken aback and immediately understood it. My bag!" I squealed with delight. "This is mine!" "Ridge found it inside your car close to this p— err... spot, I guess." After clearing his throat, he carried on. "I apologize if I opened it and searched for an ID to verify who the owner is." I responded by nodding right away, knowing that if I were in that circumstance, I would likewise act in the same manner. "I do understand, of course. Thank you!" I felt appreciative that they gave me my belongings back and for a second I forgot how much I still hate him. "Where is my car, though?" I found myself in that situation when I was traveling to my cousin's wedding when I had a problem with my car. The engine suddenly broke down. I had no idea how to fix it, and my cousin borrowed the toolbox, so I decided to look for assistance. Unfortunately, I got lost on the way and ended up being locked up. "My friend already fixed it," Raffa answered my query and gave me a comforting smile. "It's in the garage and safe. "Oh my! Thank you so much!" I exclaimed. Happiness and absolute relief flooded my chest. "That's my grandfather's present to me and I love that car. I greatly appreciate it." Who would have imagined that the people there also possess kindness in their hearts? Raffa retorted, "No damage done," with a shrug of his shoulders. I sent him a sincere smile, but when I remembered something else I also valued, I opened my purse and looked inside right away. "My phone. Where is it?" "It isn't there," Raffa informed me, "I seized it. I immediately stopped and turned to face him, asking, "Y-you what? B—but I thought—?" He signaled by shaking his head that he would not give it to me. My face became stern, and my brows wrinkled. 'So he's acting wiser now, huh?' I shot him a scorching, questioning stare while shaking my head. 'He has no intention of letting me go even at the beginning, nor giving me the chance to ask for assistance outside of that area. "You know what? I detest you!” Raffa Grayson moaned while gazing at me with an enigmatic look, but after a moment, he quickly collected himself and grinned haughtily. 'I wish I could say it back, but I'm unable to." I let out a frustrated breath since I was confused by his statement. "You're impossible." I hate you so much.” Unaffected, he crooked an irresistible smile and then turned around. "They say that the line between hate and love is very thin, Shin. Now hurry up. It's time for dinner," and he left the room. 'What a jerk!' I groaned under my clenched teeth and then rolled my eyes. I am, however, without a choice. I had to follow him because I am starving. ______________ When we descended to the first floor, everything was so cluttered. Three topless men were racing around the living room throwing pillows at each other like little kids. Additionally, I saw a pair eating each other's faces in a corner. 'Even if they skip dinner, I believe they will be satisfied.' I was lost in thought as I continued to be in awe of the couple when Raffa interrupted me. "Should we go and eat or just stay and observe them?" An irritated growl rolled out my mouth before I sneered, "Is it my fault that a live performance is taking place here? Geez, my poor innocent eyes!" Raffa laughed but then continued walking to the dining room while I was behind him. I caught sight of the three guys stopping and giving me curious looks, even the couple finally distanced themselves and granted me a meaningful stare. I scratched my face and turned to them. "When things get heated up, you guys should use protection, okay?" I urged them in a low voice as I quickly followed Raffa. After a little moment, I heard waves of laughing in the living room, and a pout formed on my lips. What? I'm just a concerned citizen. Oh my, people these days!
