We ran and ran until the sun started to come up, but when I turned to look again, it was not the sun but the pack house of the River pack burning to the ground. The sounds of growls and screams had faded away a little while ago and we were well past the River pack border but still, it pained me to see the death and destruction that Ralphael had ordered and Stephan and Zad had carried out. My chest tightened when I thought I would never see them again, hoping that their rampage would die with my parting.
"We need to rest." Jayne panted.
"We are past the border." Daisy added, leaning against a tree.
"We can't keep running forever." Gabriel said as she fell to her knees.
I nodded as I turned back to where the fire danced in the nights sky, "We will rest here until morning and
