Dean, You had a girlfriend?

1265 Words
Running a hand through his slightly dump hair, Dean tries to dry it off with his fingers when he knows any time spent sitting around and drying his hair will only give his brothers more room to meet his employee. he'd rather not let it happen. carefully making his way down the stairs, while leaving a trail of expensive masculine fragrance, he stops half way down when his ears catch on to the soft and feminine voice echoing into the open space. sh*t. He curses to himself as he skips an extra stair with each step to get to the bottom quicker and makes a hasty beeline to the dinning room, where he catches a glimpse of that familiar volume of thick and heavy curls peeping from the frame of the cushioned dining seat. Dominic. knowing just who the tall, broad shouldered man is sitting next to her, Dean could feel the frown stretching the sides of his face, displeased that he'd perked Dominic's interest. "Was my warning not clear?" Dean hisses as he appears on the other side of Aria's seat, the warning directed to Dominic who only pulls up a slight grin the moment their eyes meet. "She was hungry." Dominic explains as Dean drops his unhinged green eyes down to Aria who is staring up at him with an unbroken gaze transfixed at specifically him. she couldn't fathom the reality she's in, unable to comprehend whether it really is her boss standing next to her, bathing her with the expensive scent of top tier brands with a hint of his lotion and shampoo. "G-Good morning sir." Aria instantly stands to her feet, kicking the seat back with the back of her knees as she gives Dean a slight bow. the forgotten nervousness resurfaces and she finally remembers how her knees rattle everytime she's around someone more important than her. all the more reason why she's never been given the chance to stand in front at a meeting. "Thank you for... treating me." Aria continues as Dean simply maintains his guarded-- yet unbound-- gaze. "You shouldn't have... but I'm really grateful to you... I don't know how to repay you." Dominic raises a brow from where he's sitting as he closes his eyes and takes a sip of his coffee, waiting to hear what Dean has to say considering his unusual struggle when talking to women. "If you were feeling sick, you should have clocked out." Dean explains as he places his hands into his pocket. A habit he had forced on himself to avoid anyone from noticing his hands that often seem to shake around women. As much as it should be as easy as talking to women as is when talking to his brothers, Dean just can't get past it knowing full well just who he's talking to. "In the last meeting you pointed out that employee's who don't finish the day will be regarded as absent for that day and will be deducted." Aria points out as she drops her gaze to something on the table while Dominic gives a soft chuckle. "I have a loan to pay off so... I couldn't afford being deducted." Dean clenches his jaw as he remembers how well he pointed it out that day and exactly what he was wearing. A vibrant red office tee and black trousers with a black tie to match. Reluctant to admit that his rule might have been wrong and too demanding, he turns his gaze to his supposed meal on the table, noticing how much of it is already been eaten off. To put the cherry on top, she didn't even ask for his permission in eating it. "Is it a habit of yours to eat anything you find?" Dean asks as he brings his gaze back to Aria who raises her brows at him, confused why he'd ask. "That was made for me." Aria follows his finger which he points to the nearly cleaned plate of food, with only a few pieces of salad leaves here and there, a half eaten cherry tomatoes, some of the sauces and a small traces of what used to be steak. It takes a moment for Aria to fully grasp what he's trying to say and when she does, she could feel the static noise fill her ears as her body grows stiff. "It... was yours?" Aria asks with widened eyes as she stares up at him, hardly getting any confirmation from him when he simply stares back at her. "He told me it was mine..." "It was actually Dean's." Dominic smiles as he waves his hand as though to dismiss the matter. "I didn't see it as an issue considering you brought her home. the maids are making another plate for you, so don't worry too much." Aria glances over her shoulder and at Dominic who's eyes are still on his plate, wishing he'd just look up at her to witness the nasty glare she's sending him. Dean only lets out a sigh as he notices the maid walk back to the table and sets his plate just across from where he would have sat if his spot wasn't stolen. "Don't bother, take the food away, I'm not eating this morning." Dean tells the maid before she could leave, getting her to nod her head as she internally curses at herself for making another meal. she painfully takes it back with her, nearly leaving a trail of bitter tears. "Why? Don't want to sit down and enjoy?" Dominic asks Dean who almost rolls his eyes and glances down at Aria who, for an odd reason, can't help but marvel at his hand-carved looks. "We're leaving for work." Dean says as he steps aside, waiting for her to follow, but she only stares at him as if lost and unsure of what she needs to do. instead of explaining it to her, he reaches out and grabs her wrist, taking both Dominic and Aria by surprise as he pulls her to the dining entrance that leads into a corridor. before they could get to the arch itself, Aria's assaulter, Cameron appears right in front of them, startled as he nearly hits into Dean, forcing him to step back. After noticing who it is and who he's with, Cameron can't help but smirk as he crosses his arms to his chest and tilts his head to the side. "Well, if it isn't the lovebirds. Good morning." Cameron teases as he turns his gaze down to Dean's hand holding onto Aria's. Dean rolls his eyes as he lets go of Aria's wrist and shoves his hands into his pockets. "We're late for work, excuse us." he slithers past Cameron who only grins wider as he turns and watches as Aria follows Dean. "You should have said something if you were going to be bringing over a woman." Cameron continues to speak as he follows them to the door. "I almost didn't believe she was yours." "I was only getting treatment." Aria frowns as she turns to face Cameron who smirks down at her. "He was doing it out of kindness... nothing happened." "Really? Kindness?" Cameron asks as he pretends to be shocked. "Wow, Dean, you're holding out on us. but I won't get jealous since she's a woman, I understand. she's pretty too." Dean doesn't bother saying a word as he turns and grabs Aria's hand, pulling her out of the house as he makes haste out of the front door and towards his already waiting car with the driver ready to leave.
