CHAPTER VI

766 Words
My mind was going to explode, I had just met a lovely boy a few minutes ago who told me that there was a city called Mitoja and that it wasn't in the real world. Frederick, the cold-blooded killer who lived hundreds of years ago here in the town, was still alive and was the one who ruled Mitoja, and on the other hand, this unknown lovely boy said he was my savior. Was I dreaming? As much as I tried to believe everything Nathan told me, it way very hard to me. "My savior?" I asked, "What do you mean? What are you supposed to save me from?" From Frederick. He knows you perfectly and wants you ti be with him. I don't know why, I don't know how plan. The only thing I know is that he won't rest until he drags you next to him just like he did with me." Unconsciously, I started slowly backing down trying to get away. I needed to spend some time alone to try to process everything. To try to understand that a villain from the history books wanted me close to him. "I'm sorry, I'll talk to you later Nathan, I need to go", I apologized and started walking in the opposite direction to Nathan, with big confusion in my head. If Frederick was the one who was trying to take me back to Mitoja, then who was the beautiful boy of my dreams? Would he related to him? His son maybe? I didn't know, but luckily I knew a person who was obsessed with Frederick's story and would help me understand a couple of things. I knew Molly was upset with me, I would have to apologize to her and accept that she was right, Frederick didn't die and he was living in another world, one full of magic just as she thought. I looked all over the school for her, but I couldn't find her. I figured she'd already gone home, so I did the same thing, anyway, I'd missed my class.  Walking back home I could feel a few firm and heavy steps accompanying me. I turned back with some fear, but there was no one around me. The street was completely empty and in fact, the sun was already beginning to fall, announcing the arrival of the dusk. I tried to keep walking normally, but I kept hearing the footsteps behind my back getting closer and closer.  "My mind must be getting crazy because of everything that Nathan said," I said to myself as I shook my head. I saw an old lady trying to pick some things off the floor across the street. Apparently her pantry had fallen off and the poor woman could not bend over to pick it up because of her age. I didn't hesitate and went to help her. I've always thought that magic is also in the actions we do by ourselves when we help someone else even in a simple detail. "Let me help you, ma'am, " I said, picking up the items off the floor. "You're so kind, pretty, my back can't hold out anymore and I'm so clumsy that I've dropped all things", she replied embarrassed. As I picked up her things, I noticed how the oranges that had fallen out were completely rotten and they even had worms coming out of them. When I realized that, I gave a little leap and the nausea started to take hold of me "Ma'am your oranges are totally rotten, I don't think you need them".  "They're rotten just like me," I heard a male voice say. I was startled to see that the voice came from the old woman, whose physical appearance had already completely changed. She was no longer a helpless old woman, but a scary old woman with red eyes as blood. "What the hell?" was the only thing that managed to get out of my mouth. "Mitoja is waiting for you. Adara come home, come back to me", the old woman said still with a male voice. "Who are you and why do you want me to go with you?" "I am where you belong. You don't belong to this world." Everything was so strange, I couldn't even understand it. I felt that everything that was happening was just a dream, a very long dream. I started running as soon as I could to get away from that creepy old lady. What the hell was that? At what point did my life become into scary game? What the hell was going on?
