1040 Words
“I may have let another woman take Logan but guess what, son? Where is she today? Dead!” says Claire, her tone is wild and firm, she walks aqay leaving him in thoughts. It is not like he is surprised that she had killed his stepmother after she gave birth to Leon, he is just a bit shocked that she isn't remorseful for doing such a thing, as a woman. She shrugs off the thought and walks out of the room holding his cellphone in his left hand. By the time he reaches the large living room, he sees the doctor leaving after exchanging hand shakes with his father but Leon isn't there. “Just a punch and his daddy get him a doctor for a grown-ass man!” he said inside him, and then he comes into view. “Father?” Neon calls out, Logan turns to him, his sternness overshadows the forbearing wrinkles on his face. ~ The men stare at each other with so much rage buried inside, Neon is not scared or moved and Logan is thinking of a way to really hurt his son even if he knew that handing the Industry over to the youngest was the cruelest idea. “Did you see what you did to your brother?” “No, you tell me!” Neon speaks back disrespectfuly and Logan’s frown tightens. “Go on in and apologize, or rather tend to it!” “Not even my ghost would do that, I mean you called a doctor for a grown man over a punch, that's ridiculous. Really!” Neon says and when Logan attempts to speak, he cuts his father short. “Seriously father, what's your problem? At first, you hurt using the apex Industry and now you want me... to apologize to that boy who lacks sense of humor? Did he tell you that he trolled me, did he? I know you hate me but also keep in mind that I'm not one you can play foul games with!” “You can say that s**t once you leave this house, and it is happening now!” Logan yells at Neon “Who is going to send me away? I don’t see anyone born to do that! This is my house, it's YOU who should leave MY house.” Neon raises his voice at his father and attempts to walk off. “That's right son, I do not see where you fit in, in my life, you are nothing like me but like your wicked mother —” “The one you got married to and also riducled get by bringing another woman into her house? I don't think that's a memory you want to bring back.” he walks, two feet and turns around to his father again. “I hope you really reflect on the things you have done to my mother and me before coming to make APOLOGIZE to that... boy! I'm off for the grand summit!” He adds one last time and storms out of the building. His chauffeur has prepared the car, he was standing next to the passengers’ side of the luxury car. When Neon approaches closer, the chauffeur opens the door and Neon enters without looking back, in the next second, he is driven away. “Hey Tesh, meet me at the rooftop, we don't have much time left!” Before Tesher could say a word, he cuts the call and tosses his phone on the seat, he is at the brink of doing the most unethical thing. Cherry’s POV: **** It hadn’t been an easy thing for Cherry the previous days, and still, the thought of that mysterious fellow wouldn’t escape her mind. It came as a runner for her to have locked eyes with the same man, she was concerned over the fact that she had tried to hide her identity from everyone but it turned out to be impossible when her eyes met with the mysterious fellow. ~ She returns home as early as seven pm, she tosses her coat on the couch and furthers her way into the corner that has been used as a kitchen for the part years, she keeps the shopping bags she has on both hands, Pedro has settled her the one thousand thousand dollars, she is yet to look into the check that the mysterious fellow had given her. “Mom? Mom?” She calls out holding her forehead, her fingers flatly against it. She enters the bedroom that they shared but she could not find the woman there. She returns to the table and sits by it. She pulls out her cell, it is the same cell that she has used for the past twenty three months. There was a need for a new one but she has a hundred and one problems before her, a cell, would be a problem to settle in the summer days. “Where the hell has this woman gone suddenly? Did she know that—” A call enters and she glances at it, it is a number she doesn't recognise. “Hello?” her voice is unsure of whom. “Am I speaking with Cherry—Cherry Dawkins?” A woman asks “Ye-yes. Speaking.” she snaps “We need you to come over to Levine Health Care... For Shania—” “What? My mother?” Cherry cuts the call and rushes to grab her coat and shoulder purse storming out of the apartment. She briskly approaches the road and waves her hands at the cab and it stops at once. She walks over to the reception cubicle and asks the nurses about her mother and is retained in the reception hall to wait until the nurses are given information by the doctors. “You don't understand, I need to see my mother right now! I was called to—” Cherry cries out, pleading amidst her tears. “Ma’am! Ma'am, please calm down, the doctors will be done within a short time from now.” says one of the dark-haired nurses, calmly and politely but Cherry is in total disarray. She continues to cry, still pleading for something to be done.
