Laura’s eyelids open gradually, as her gaze takes notice of the white intricate ceiling, taking her to realize her unfamiliar environment. Laura’s gaze surrounds the room she sleeps in, while thoughts of her recent activities surfaces her memory. “Is this real?” Words escape Laura’s lips to herself, while taking her left finger to her face, staring back at the wedding band on her finger. “I’m married,” Laura speaks to herself, with a stunning scoff escaping her lips. Laura’s thought is short lived when a knock comes through her door, taking her to get up from the bed. “Hello Laura,” Laura’s stares at the man in front of her whom in status has become her husband, as he stares back at her with a smile on his lips. “Hi, Good morning,” Laura responds to Adrian, while standing at the door. “It’s afternoon already.” Adrian informs Laura taking her gaze to go into stun, while Adrian chuckles lightly. “I came by earlier but you were still asleep and I didn’t want to disturb, considering you had a tiring day yesterday.” Adrian says to Laura recalling to the events at their wedding ceremony. “Oh, my apologies I didn’t hear you.” Laura apologies with embarrassment cowering her tone. “You do not need to apologize Laura, and I would have left to rest, just that you need to eat.” Adrian adds, having his gaze roam around Laura’s bare skin with the skin tight nightwear she wears. Laura stares dumbfounded at Adrian’s meaning to his words. “I mean lunch is ready downstairs if you are,” Adrian rephrases his words. “Oh,” Laura chuckles at her own disability. “Of course, I’ll be down in a few minutes. Thank you.” Laura responds, taking Adrian to have one last gaze at her before he walks away. —————- Reflection of the shimmer in the white paint and glass windows of the stairs, reflects through Laura’s orbs, along with stun which fills her expression. The well designed slanting structure of the stairwall, fantasize Laura such that she rolls her hand on the silver ware of the stairs in amusement. Not that Laura hasn’t been to glamorous places, but Adrian’s home is magnificent to her, which eventually has become her own. For a year. Laura stops in her tracks, gazing at Adrian whom waits for her at the end of the stair case with a hand in his pocket and a pleased smile on his lips. Firstly, for seeing Laura and secondly, for her appearance. Laura walks closer to Adrian, as all he can view is the expansion and contraction of her hips in the blue Jean she wears. Adrian decides to compliment on her look, yet, keeps his mouth shut to rather smile at Laura. “Hi,” is all Laura says while reaching Adrian. “Hi,” Adrian responds, while the two gaze at each other. “Pardon me, I should have given you a tour around the house,” Adrian begins. “Well, it’s not too late.” Laura responds. “Of course, but after your lunch. You must be hungry,” Adrian suggest considerably. “I am, but your home is more fascinating than any meal at the moment,” Laura says causing Adrian to chuckle lightly. “Which means you want the tour right now, is that so?” Adrian asks with a smirk on his lips. “Left to me I will advise you eat first, and I’ll show you around. After all, I’m here with you all day long.” Adrian adds, as his words come straight, yet, in meaningful ways to Laura. “That is why it’s left to me,” Laura answers now having a smirk on her lips, causing Adrian to chuckle while staring at the new behavior he has come to know of her, one which he finds intriguing and curious to unleash more of her jovial side. “Then shall we, Mrs Alimson?” Adrian calls Laura, as that gets a chuckle out of her lips. “That still sounds foreign to me,” Laura comments, as she recalls the first time Adrian called her with such courtesy while they had dinner, as that moment, Laura do not say a word to respond to Adrian, excepting this moment when she finds herself jovial with Adrian to give a response of her wants. “Do get used to it, cause you’re about to be hear it everyday,” Adrian tells Laura, while she glances at him before they begin walking. “And here is my favorite part of the building,” Adrian informs Laura when they arrive at his gallery. Affection fills Laura’s eyes, while she stares at the paintings in Adrian’s gallery, whilst walking towards a particular frame that catches her eye. “Is this the Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I?” Laura inquires from Adrian with stun in her eyes. “You are familiar with it?” Adrian questions Laura, taking his brow to furrow in amusement. “Of course I am. She is also known as “The Lady in Gold”, painted by Austrian artist, Gustav Klimt. She is emphasized as the lady is gold for her status of being a Jewish banker’s wife in 1907.” Laura speaks fluently in the art in front of her, whereas Adrian can only stare with his intrigue increasing by the second on Laura at her diversity. Adrian go silent as Laura ends her words, while his gaze remains on her, as he finds various reason as to why Laura is different and reasons as to why he is attracted to her. Yes, Adrian is attracted to Laura. A feeling he has recently come of notice, when the feeling of getting married to Laura didn’t feel like guilt anymore, but want, or When he finds everything she do to be intriguing to him. Yes, such feeling envelops Adrian, since the day of seeking for her hand in marriage. Laura eventually notices Adrian’s stare, taking her to be conscious of herself, as a gulp goes down her throat and her gaze averting Adrian’s. Laura decides to pretend not to take notice of Adrian’s stare by walking away from the painting in her front down to another, when she trips on her feet and her face rears in motion of crashing to the floor, causing a yelp to escape her lips. In a swift instance, Adrian whom still has his gaze on her, pulls her back to him from her waist, as instead of Laura to fall flat on her face, she has her back pressing directly to Adrian’s front, while his hands circle her waist, and his breath fans her ear. Laura’s chest heaves, as her heart races, while she stays mute in the position she and Adrian is, as neither of them make a movement nor speak. “Careful Laura,” Adrian’s words come, as the breath of them fans the hair on her head. Goosebumps run all the way down in Laura’s skin, tingles build in her stomach, as the familiar feeling of desire and lust builds up again in her abdomen, while her leg weakens and Laura’s body presses against Adrian’s body tightly, taking a groan to escape his lips, feeling their bodies collide. Adrian’s grip around Laura’s waist tightens, whereas Laura let’s out a hard gulp, one audible enough for Adrian to hear. Adrian questions himself for his actions, eventually when he is able to compose himself, letting his hand slowly leave Laura’s waist, as he turns his gaze away from her. “My sincere apologies for my attitude,” Adrian apologies, whereas Laura avoids his gaze the same way, taking the two be in an awkward situation. “No…thank you,” Laura searches for the right word to-say, while finding herself stutter. The two remain silent in the awkwardness of their actions, when in truth they both feel the attraction towards each other, but each is hostile of their own feelings. “I believe I’ll have my meal now,” Laura indicates, taking Adrian’s gaze to meet with hers, while he nods and they walk to the dinning room. The dining room of silver four chairs on each roll and a black king table which demarcates each side,while chandeliers of expensive made hang accordingly. Laura stares at the fine leather used for the furnitures, but most importantly of the different course of meal that lays in front of her. “I assumed you might need your strength, so I asked them to make varieties,” Adrian speaks while watching Laura investigate her meal. Laura only smiles at Adrian, before diving into meal, as she is selectively, but precisely a proud foodie. “What do you envisage about Barbados?” Adrian speaks out of the blue, causing Laura to look up from her lunch “Well, I only heard about the beauty of the beach ,” Laura responds before taking a sip of her water. “Which indicates you haven’t been there?” Adrian inquires further. “Yes.” Laura answers honestly. “How about we visit there for our honeymoon?” Laura’s gaze on her food ends with Adrian’s statement as she takes them in an instant to meet him. “But, if you do have other suggestions, please do let me know.” Adrian adds. “We’re going on a honeymoon?” Laura inquires in disbelieve. “Pardon me, aren’t we on a contract marriage?” Laura surfaces her words. “Being on a contract marriage Laura, doesn’t stop us from enjoying the benefits of being married, such as your company, my company, spending time together, as the only thing exited out of it is terms of s****l activity, and this is placed to avoid complications of feelings,” Adrian explains clearly to Laura, taking her to recall Georgia’s emphasis on her getting married to a billionaire, for that Laura decides to throw every ounce of pride in her and enjoy the life of being Mrs Alimson and a smirk rises to her lips. “Well barbados it is,” Laura raises her glass in the air, causing Adrian to stare at her with a proud smirk on his lips, and even if he may not be in love with Laura, he sure as hell is proud to call her, his wife.
