Mutual agreement.

——————- As though the air seems to become thicker by the second Adrian and Laura remain in the car, so does the silence which follows their sitting, except for when Laura gave directions to her house. "What exactly happened to your car?" Adrian finally breaking the silence, as he speaks with his eyes on the road. "A cleaning truck for Lucien Corp jammed the bumper." Laura answers Adrian, not knowing if his question is out of concern or nothing at all. "If it isn't ready by your specified time, I know a guy who can repair it in an instant." Adrian offers while his gaze glance slightly at Laura, before moving back to the road. "I appreciate the offer, but I have it covered." Laura answers politely, while Adrian only nods, as Laura's gaze finally shifts to admit the beauty of Adrian's Audi saloon car. From where Laura sits, it will be impossible for her to say she doesn't catch the view of Adrian's handsome face, as her gaze moves from his lips to his hands on the steering wheel, which the veins on them only makes him more attractive to her. "I apologize if we did set off on the wrong foot, Laura." Adrian's words take Laura by surprise, as her eyes move back to meet Adrian's for a second before he averts them back to the road. "It is truly not in my intention to have had such an impression which you think of me. I may not be the best, but I'm definitely not the worst, and sometimes what I want can get the better of me." As though an imagination from Laura, she continues to stare back at Adrian not believing of hearing such words of admission from him, as his words do find a soft place in her heart of wanting to let all the bad side go, which brings her to recall her dream and how this may just be another strategy form Adrian to win her necklace easily. "My apologies Mr Alimson, but..." "Adrian." Adrian cuts her off as she stares at him perplexed. "Call me Adrian." He adds, as Laura stays silent for a while. "Pardon me, but I believe I will not be at fault if I do not believe your statement, as it is not a new thing for me to know what men can do when it is they desire something." Laura speaks her mind, taking Adrian to smile lightly. "Of course." Adrian speaks. "And I do not expect you to easily. Yet, it is the truth. However, I wouldn't sugarcoat my words and tell you that I still do not desire the necklace which it is you have, which brings me to ask again how it came to your possession, but this time, I'm asking politely." Adrian says while taking a turn based on the GPS. Laura hearing the calmness and softness of Adrian's tone, gives in to finally speak. "It was my grandmother's, she gave it to me before she died." Laura tells Adrian. "I'm sorry to hear about that." Adrian gives his condolences. "Why is that necklace Important to you Adrian?" Laura asks, as Adrian lets his gaze meet with her black orbs, while he hears his name freely from her lips. "That necklace is a family heirloom." Adrian begins. "Now I do not know how it got into your grandmother's hands, but what I do know is that, you hold the original which has been passed down to the female of every generation in the Alimson's family, also another reason why a copy can not be made because, no matter what, it will never be the same as the original. There is a difference. A difference only known to the Alimson family." Adrian explains to Laura, as it begins to make sense as to why Adrian is desperate to have the necklace. Laura remains as silent, not knowing what word to speak next, as even if she does, she doesn't know how to put her words to inform Adrian of how important the necklace is to her, just as it is to him. Eventually, Adrian's car comes to a stop upon reaching Laura's house. "I will be out of your presence Laura, if I am able to get the necklace and return back to the states tomorrow, promising that you won't have to bear my arrogance anymore." Adrian speaks, the instant he comes to a stop, retracting Laura from leaving the car. "Adrian, as much as that necklace is important to you, so is it to me, as it was the last thing I received from my grandmother, such which isn't easy to let go." Laura tries to reason with Adrian. Laura watches Adrian go silent, as he runs a hand through his hair, clearly thinking of an alternative for the both of them, as even if he has stated why he wants the necklace, he seems to have left the urgency for wanting it at the instant. As Adrian runs another hand through his hair, so does the vibration of his cellphone clouds the air, while he picks it out from his pocket, to view the caller ID. "Just a brief moment, please," Adrian takes an excuse from Laura, before picking up the phone call from his sister, Rose. Hearing the two's conversation, Laura can't help but let her lips curl into a smile at the joviality of Adrian to her, especially when it comes to a kid whom gets replaced on the phone, as Adrian smile and jokes lovingly, one which Laura seems to be in admiration, making her reason if deep down, Adrian may not be as bad as his first impression to her. Adrian gets off the phone, as he now focuses his attention back to Laura. "I will take my leave now. Thank you Adrian." Laura says, seeing as their conversation seems to have come to an end. "Perhaps, we can come to a mutual agreement?" Adrian speaks out of the blue, taking Laura to relax back. "And what could that be?" Laura asks staring back at Adrian whom has his gaze fixed unfiltered on her. "Be my fiancé." Adrian speaks, as that takes Laura's gaze to go wide. "Or at least, pretend to be my fiancé for a week." ——————
