—————— There is a word to describe how laura feels at a moment like this, but to her it feels ineffable, as every cell in her body alerts agitated with just at the stare of a peccable man known as, Adrian Alimson. A proud, peccable jerk, as laura would arrange it. "It is highly degrading of yourself Mr Alimson, to taunt a woman to the extent of manipulating your words and actions of what took place. It shows just how meretricious and mendacious of the character you hold." Laura speaks to Adrian, with every word meaning her truthfulness. Adrian, on the other hand stares at laura irascibly, as no one, not even a man has ever spoken such words of distaste to him, as most people fear or value him to do such, yet, this woman speaks nonchalantly without knowing him. Adrian not able to utter a word, remains silent still staring at laura who's in rage. "Speaking with you averts my jovialities, so I suggest you find your ways to the reception on your own." Laura adds as with that, she leaves Adrian's presence to her car. Laura runs a hand through her hair, inhaling and exhaling deeply of the tiresome conversation Adrian put her in, in the presence of her friends. On the other hand, Adrian, curses lowly at how disgraced he has been, all because of a necklace of particular sentiment. A necklace he has to get at all cost, even if it means being disgraced a little bit more and masking his ego. As the two of them both wonder how to deal with each other, whereas one prays to the Almighty never to see another's face again, the other promises to get what he wants at all cost, but, little do they both know that life has other plans for them, beyond what it is they think. ----------------- Music and laughter. Two prominent activities to be felt at the reception of Georgia and David's, as the two have just ended their first couple dance, and the bridesmaid and groomsmen all join the couple on the dance floor to celebrate with them, except a certain two. Unlike the usually prim and proper wedding it is that most people have in the country, Georgia vowed that her wedding would be nothing of that, and would be filled with happiness and blithe to the core, as with her sanguine nature who's to expect less. Laura smiles fully seeing her best friend retract all care of being a French Lady, and dance to the fullest with her husband, whereas she has her back saturated at his front, as so he has his hands firming her waist properly. She enjoys the event as even if she isn't on the dance floor with Georgia, the sight alone is fulling at the happiness radiating from her best friend, and laura at this point couldn't help but feel a certain pang in her heart, of if she will ever be this happy with a man. A man she can also call her own. Everyone may judge falsely, or maybe it is due to the facade Laura places of not caring about finding a man, when truthfully she is the biggest fan of romance and wishes to experience it too, unlike the one which she had in the past. Laura's smile depreciates, but widens again when she locks gaze with her best friend on the dance floor, before Georgia begins walking towards her while the rest dance. "And may I ask the reason as to why you're standing here all alone, and not dancing with me?" Georgia asking, the instant she reaches laura. "Because I enjoy watching it from here, also, I rather not embarrass myself in front of so many watchful eyes." Laura answers with a tone making the two chuckle. "Honestly, I..." "No don't do that Gia, don't depreciate your happiness because of mine." Laura cuts her best friend off, upon having a hint of what she may say after their laughter. "This is your day, and I do not want you worrying about me and finding someone for me for your heart to be at rest. This is my greatest gift, because how on earth would I let you wait for me, who knows I may become a cat Lady at the end." Laura says, slightly joking at the end but Georgia doesn't give in to it, as she remains serious. Laura, feeling like a bad friend of having had her best friend notice her slight change in mood, when she should be here hyping and dancing by the side of Georgia, begins to smile. deeply. "I do like the rocking you give to David." Laura teases, as with that, it eases the mood making Georgia chuckle. "It was good right, huh?" Georgia definitely herself, accepts her deeds, rather than being shy of them. "Very good, and it seems David is searching for his wife on the dance floor." Laura gestures towards the floor seeing David signal his wife to come over. "Then you have to come too." Georgia turns back to her friend. "Okay I will, I promise, but first let me get a drink, so at least I won't be aware of the Level of my disgrace." Laura speaks truthfully, and even if she isn't the type who enjoys drinking, she is going to do it today, all in order to make her friend happy and to feel less like a bad friend. "Okay, I'll be waiting." Georgia, happy with the news caress her friend's hand lightly, before rushing back to her desperate husband. Laura sighs as Georgia leaves, taking her feet gradually close to one of the waiters to pick her first drink of many, in order to fulfil her promise. As the tip of glass reaches her lips and the taste of Alcohol hits her tongue, laura closes her eyes slightly before gulping down all the liquid. "If I didn't know any better, I may have said you are being coerced taking that." Laura opens her eyes before taking the glass away from her lips upon hearing a certain, familiar voice. Adrian Alimson. Can't he leave her alone? What's his deal with her? Has she perhaps met him before and wronged him, for him to taunt her this way? Either ways, laura can not understand, as she turns to face Adrian. "Well, lucky for me, I don't care what you believe." Laura tells him as her initial motive is to snub him, but she feels a reply is better. "Very savage, Miss Eduoard." Adrian comments, whereas laura doesn't care and begins walking away, as when she sees another waiter, she picks another drink. "I never picked you out to be the type who likes to drink." Adrian speaks up while following laura, as this time, laura doesn't send a reply. "Also did I never pick you out to be the type who would leave her best friend on the dance floor." At that, laura has to stop in her tracks, turning to Adrian with fury in her eyes. "What's your problem? What exactly do you want from me?" Laura asks Adrain, as even he can see he may have crossed the line there, nevertheless, he shows no remorse. "An offer. I wish to propose an offer." Adrian answers, as laura scoffs unbelievably. "Oh wow, A silver platter offer from Mr Alimson." Laura chuckles dryly, definitely beginning to feel the effects of the Alcohol. "I wish not to hear it." She answers straightforward to Adrian. "You asked me what I want, didn't you?" Adrian places her words on the table, with a calm, yet, mischievous look on his well sculpted face. "Do you promise to leave me alone if I hear this offer of yours?" Laura asks him whereas Adrian remains silent. "Of course, what did I expect from a man like you." Laura nods negatively before turning her back from Adrian to continue walking. "I will, if you do accept my offer." Laura stops at her tracks upon hearing Adrian speak again. In Adrian's mind, he perceive Laura to be able to be persuaded, that is, with the right amount of persuasion. "I will give you the benefit of listening to what you have to say, but accepting or not is left to me, and let's say I do not accept, Mr Alimson, I promise to take legal actions against you that you wouldn't like, and yes, you may be in such a high society that not much actions may be taken against you, but I do also promise that it will be a stain in your reputation, and I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate such. So what do you have to offer, Mr Alimson?" Adrian stares at the woman in front of him, taking him off guard in all instance with her unexpected and true words, but most importantly her audacious character in a go. "Ten million, with a car, a house of your choosing at any place in the world, all in exchange for the necklace." Adrian speaks with high hopes, as laura chuckles lowly at her failure of misjudging that he could actually have anything better than his money to offer. And for what? All for a necklace not more of worth for a thousand euros. "Since you have that much money to lavish, its perplexing why you haven't bought the whole jewelry shop in France. Anyways, Adrian, I stand my ground as your offer is not pleasing enough to convince me." Laura speaks to him extremely informal, which is supposed to get him angry and perplexed of her not being moved by such amount, yet, surprising to Adrian, it only gets him aroused. Unaware to laura of Adrian's predicament, questions stick in her head of why a man such as Adrain, would be after a necklace as hers, when he can have it made at the very perfection he wants, as even with his wealthy status, her's is what he wants. Either ways, Laura makes up her mind, and she isn't ready to change it anytime soon, and even if she will, it has to be after the dance she has planned and been drinking for. ———————-
