No matter how they wished to bring Zi Xin's body back to Dashan, they couldn't. They only had an hour to left before the body would turn into dust. They found a perfect place for Zi Xin somewhere in the borders of Dashan and HuangWu. Yong Xian carried Zi Xin's body as he laid it down in the middle of the vast field full of wildflower colors ranging from white, yellow, orange, and purple. Yong Xian sat down as he cradled Zi Xin's body, letting his tears flow down from his eyes as he looked at Zi Xin's face as if he was sleeping peacefully with his body starts turning into dust. "Stay still." Yao Xue said to Yong Jie who didn't want to get treated again by Yao Xue. The cut on Yong Jie's arm was stinging and Yao Xue was trying to heal Yong Jie who was acting stubborn. They stood behind the field and Yong Jie's heart felt so heavy that he didn't care about his wound. "A cut from a demon won't be easy to heal and it will take time." Yao Xue said and Yong Jie just let him pass some spiritual energy as he silently mourned for his childhood friend. They were silent as they went back home especially Yong Xian. His face was as emotionless and still as a rock until they arrived in the Yong Sect Palace after a day. They all went directly to their rooms without reporting to their parents. It was only Yao Xue who went to Yong Sect leader Qiang and Madame Meixiu who were shocked to hear the news of Zi Xin's passing and being possessed but they didn't hold Yao Xue for too long and let him rest the day. The next morning, Zi Quin, Zi Xin's mother, knocked on the Palace doors after hearing the news of their return. Yong Xian immediately runs to attend Zi Quin. Zi Quin's face lit up when he saw Yong Xian while waiting in the hall and she was surprised when Yong Xian fell on his knees in front of her and started sobbing. Yong Xian never cried so hard before. Fat tears streaming from his eyes as he let everything out in front of Zi Xin's mother whom he promised that he would bring Zi Xin back alive and well before they departed to HuangWu. Zi Quin knew the reason behind Yong Xian's tears. Her hands started shaking as she wiped her tears that were streaming on her cheeks before she sat down in front of the young master who was bowing his head while he sobbed and repeatedly apologizing. Zi Quin lifted Yong Xian's face to look at her and pulled him in a motherly hug, rubbing his back as Yong Xian sobbed even more. "You did promise to bring my Zi Xin back and you kept that promise." Zi Quin said. "What I said was to come back with my Zi Xin and not that Zi Xin who went with you." Yong Xian pulled back from the hug and looked at her as he hiccuped. "W-What does mother Z-Zi Quin means?" Yong Xian asked in-between sobs and hiccups. Zi Quin made a sad expression on her face. Yong Xian could see Zi Xin in Zi Quin's nose and the shape of her eyes. "That day young master saved Zi Xin in the river, he wasn't acting himself and I knew immediately that it wasn't him anymore but Zi Sun and I never mentioned it because we didn't want to lose Zi Xin." Yong Xian was dumbfounded. The Zi Xin that he slept with that night wasn't Zi Xin, the one he loves but a demon parasite who fed on his desire and lust. How could he mistake it as his Zi Xin? Zi Xin would never initiate such things boldly. Yong Xian shook his head. "But I still couldn't keep the promise. I-I couldn't bring Zi Xin back." Zi Quin softly smiled but it didn't reach her eyes. "Young master Yong Xian, you did bring my Zi Xin back." She said making Yong Xian frowned in confusion. Zi Quin raised her hand and placed it on his chest where she could feel Yong Xian's loud heartbeat. "Here. My Zi Xin is here." ××× Cheng Xin woke up and released a choking sound feeling his throat being squeezed. He found himself hanging with the rope around his neck and he was going to die. Again!
