"I would never have thought of killing myself by jumping to that river." Zi Xin said.
Yong Jie stood near the window and Yong Xian sitting beside Zi Xin on the bed. Yong Sect leader Qiang and Madame Meixiu together with their guest Yao Xue were in the living talking to Zi Xin's parents.
"Something was in the water. I just found myself drowning after checking it."
"Is it a demon?" Yong Jie asked looking at Zi Xin's scared expression as he recalled how he struggled that time.
"I think?" Zi Xin said, unsure.
"What does it looked like?" Yong Xian asked, wanting to caress Zi Xin's pale cheeks but he fought himself from doing it. His heart almost died seeing Zi Xin lying in the boat and felt disturbed by what Yong Jie had done to his Zi Xin.
But Yong Xian held himself since Yong Jie explained how it worked saying it was an act of first aid. Yong Xian didn't know when and where and how did Yong Jie knew of those things. He didn't even saw the man practice in the field of medicine.
"I am not sure. My eyes were clouded by the water as it dragged me down." Zi Xin said and Yong Xian reached his hand to brush it on his hair.
Yong Jie scanned Zi Xin. He was glad he was well and wished that that tragedy would not give him an unstable mind and dreams.
Yong Jie cleared his throat seeing that Yong Xian already forgot that he was there. "You should take a long rest, Xiao Xin." He smiled and Zi Xin gave him back with the same smile.

Yong Jie laid on his bed, tossing and turning with his mind filled with unnecessary thoughts. He wanted to see Yao Xue and maybe talk about normal things but Yao Xue might be fast asleep already by this time.
News about demons appearing everywhere have gossiped around the city and beyond the city walls and cultivators were sent days after days to aid to the places where infested with those vile creatures. The world became busy and wary and another rumor was running around the world that what happened thousands of years ago might happen again with the absence of the legendary cultivator to protect the world.
Yong Jie sighed and sat up then decided to go out and take a dip in the hot spring to calm his mind and body.
It was quiet and dark without the moon lighting the sky. Stars were spread in the vast dark sky making it a sight worthy of golds. Yong Jie never saw such beautiful sight in his original world.
Yong Jie discarded his robes and stepped in the hot spring, sighing in relief. Yong Jie sat on a rock, his body soaked in the hot water up to his chest and closed his eyes feeling glad that sleep came after a few minutes.
Yao Xue saw Yong Jie went to the hot spring through the window of his room which was slightly ajar. He proceeds to meditate while some of his senses remain on the ground he was sitting, feeling the surrounding in order to know if Yong Jie were back from the bath.
An hour has passed but Yong Jie still wasn't back. Yao Xue stood up and picked Jinghua and went out of his room then headed to the hot spring.
Yong Jie's robes and shoes were haphazardly thrown on the rocks and Yao Xue let go of Jinghua and hurried in the hot spring seeing Yao Jie sleeping while still soaking.
"Yong Jie!" He called as he lifts Yong Jie. His body hot from soaking too long and fell unconscious.
Yong Jie stirred from his dizziness and found himself in Yao Xue's arms making him smile. "Yao Xue, I feel light-headed." He said.
"You soaked too long in the water." Yao Xue brought Yong Jie to the rocks.
"I fell asleep. It was comfortable."
"Can you stand?" Yao Xue asked.
"Of course."
Yao Xue let Yong Jie stand on the rocks and he reached for Yong Jie's robes when Yong Jie's knees couldn't hold him up and lose his balance. Yao Xue caught Yong Jie who chuckled weakly. He never felt that weak before.
"I am dizzy."
Yao Xue looked at Yong Jie, his eyes were half-closed. He was sick.
"Shall I give you first aid?" Yao Xue said and Yong Jie opened his eyes and looked at the beautiful man who was holding him and laughed.
"Yes, please." He smiled making Yao Xue felt relieved.
Yao Xue dressed Yong Jie's weak body and carried him to his room. Yong Jie was fast asleep by that time and true to Yao Xue's word, he gave him first aid in his room. Just like that day when Yong Jie got punished by Sect Leader Qiang for a hundred whips of the ruler, Yao Xue once again gave Yong Jie spiritual energy. Seeing Yong Jie's worried face soothed by every minute makes Yao Xue relax as he tends to Yong Jie.
Yong Jie woke up after seven hours of sleep seeing Yao Xue with him in the bed, sitting and giving him spiritual energy.
"Yao Xue!" He exclaimed as he sat up causing Yao Xue to withdrew from sharing his spiritual energy.
Though Yao Xue's face remained cold and expressionless, Yong Jie could see a hint of dark circles under his eyes from the lack of sleep. Yao Xue hadn't slept even a blink and focused on healing Yong Jie the whole night.
"You're well." Yao Xue said and Yong Jie somehow felt angry.
Yong Jie held Yao Xue's arm and pulled him to the bed, rolling their bodies and Yong Jie came on top.
"Sleep and regain your energy." Yong Jie said, his tone commanding.
Yao Xue didn't say anything and after closing his eyes in a brief moment, he already succumbed to sleep. Yong Jie felt Yao Xue's tired body relaxed under him and hear his even breathing.
Yong Jie slowly gets off the bed. He didn't expect Yao Xue to be so obedient but he was glad Yao Xue didn't protest. The man was awake for hours and was giving him spiritual energy! He should be dead tired.
Yong Jie looked Yao Xue, so defenseless and vulnerable in his sleep then chuckled humorlessly. "You fool. Risking your health for me and even gave me hope thinking you would give me first aid like how I did to Xiao Xin."
Yong Jie laughed, his heart fluttering in genuine happiness.
