Servant Daiyu, the one who was sent by the sect leader to Third brother Jie reported what she witnessed how Third brother Jie was acting strange and not himself informing Sect leader Yong Qiang and Madam Meixiu and ordered the servants to let Ah Jie rest.
Yong Meixiu knew that her son, though Ah Jie doesn't express his emotion, been through a lot. They should give him rest even for a day or two.
Servant Daiyu bowed and turned back to her task. About an hour later, another servant came and reported about the weird doings of Third brother Jie. Yong Meixiu worriedly glanced at Yong Qiang.
Madam Meixiu personally went to see her son to his bedchamber escorted with two maid-servants behind her. She was surprised to see a broken door that she hastily went inside the room thinking something happened. After all, Ah Jie's bedchamber was located at the eastern side of the palace and the most secluded place since Ah Jie wanted piece and didn't want to be disturbed.
Madam Meixiu found nothing but an empty room and everything was still intact with no trace of thief barging inside Ah Jie's room but she couldn't explain how the door got broken.
"Ah Jie?" She called as she went out of the room glancing at the small garden in front of the terrace but no one answered.
Usually, Ah Jie would be meditating somewhere secluded without telling them so that was Madam Meixiu's guess but she was still worried about the broken door.
"Ah Jie must have been to seclusion and went meditating. Order someone to fix the door." Madam Meixiu said and one of the servants bowed.
"Yes, Madam Meixiu." The servants chorused and they walked back to the main hall.

Meanwhile outside the palace, Chu Lian found himself playing with the kids. Small wooden swords clashed as they fought a long and bloody battle. One of the kids slashed the chest of the other kid who then threw himself to the ground dramatically in defeat making him feel so amused. It was his turn to be slashed and he too fell on the ground.
"This servant beg master to spare his life." He begged and the kid who beat them laughed trying so hard to sound like a mob boss but failed. His laugh sounds so cute. Aren't they adorable?
"I shall kill you with my mighty sword." The kid raised his wooden sword that was already bent in an awkward direction.
Mighty, indeed. Chu Lian thought and pretend to cough out something invisible. It would be blood, of course. "No!" He exclaimed and the other kid who was beside him on the ground suddenly stood up.
"You keep on acting as the mighty winner. Can we switch roles after this?" The other kid said after getting up and his robe was full of dust. Chu Lian reached to the kid's back and patted the dust away.
"Okay, but let me finish. I haven't stabbed him yet." The mighty ruler said making Chu Lian crawled back and then stood up hastily, towering the kids.
"Okay, no stabbing my young masters." Chu Lian said and glanced at the sky. He doesn't have a watch with him and of course, there was no such thing as a watch like in his timeline so he could only rely to the position of the sun for the time. "It's almost noon, go back to your mothers and eat your meal." He said as he stooped down to their eye level.
The crowd suddenly rustled and murmurs were audible about the Sect madam was outside with guards and servants.
The town's people gave way forming a straight path as the men in formal dresses marched.
"Will big brother come and play with us again?" The kid asked and the other one just nodded his head.
"I will." He smiled while patting the kid's head and they happily ran back to their houses, slipping in the gathered crowd.
Chu Lian stood up straight patting his robe and all the attention was to the Sect guards and then to him.
"Third brother Jie." Someone from the line of formally dressed people stepped out and called him and a huge amount of gasps were heard from the crowd.
It was getting noisier and they couldn't believe their eyes that the man dressed in a thin white robe and was happily playing with the peasant kids outside was indeed the most respected Third brother Jie of Yong Sect that they thought he was just someone that looked like him.
"Oh! You got me." He playfully grinned and was looking for a way to sneak out of that problem when someone in the formation stepped out.
A beautiful woman dressed in a mint green elegant robe with a servant bringing with her a green umbrella, shading her from the sun and Chu Lian couldn't even describe her face. She was confused and everything, like her entire system was in turmoil, not believing what she was seeing in front of her.
Her Ah Jie roaming around the busy street under the heat of the sun dressed only in a thin white robe that looked almost like undergarments and was filled with dust that it couldn't be considered as white anymore was playing with the kids outside. She couldn't even forgive herself when she saw Ah Jie's bird nest hair, poorly tied in a bun when she was the one who taught him how to properly tuck and groom his hair when he was a kid.
Her most precious Ah Jie was acting indeed strange to the point that Madam Meixiu couldn't believe what she was seeing. The used to be cold Ah Jie was smiling and chuckling for getting caught but she couldn't deny that the man in front of her wasn't Yong Jie. Of course, Madam Meixiu couldn't mistake her own son with another man.
Madam Meixiu couldn't stand it anymore.
"Ah Jie." She softly called and the unexpected happened.
The beautiful woman collapsed.
"Madam Meixiu!" The maid-servants exclaimed and hastily caught her falling body.
Even Chu Lian was surprised. Was she the Third brother Jie's mother? Such a beautiful woman. No wonder this Third brother Jie looked so handsome.
While the people were busy worrying about the Madam, Chu Lian used that opportunity to sneak away.
Chu Lian guessed that he didn't only invade the Third brother Jie's body, he also ruined this man's whatever reputation he has. It wasn't intentional and it wasn't Chu Lian's fault also for reincarnating to a used body.
Poor Third brother Jie.
