Yong Jie grew fond of the Lotus pond outside the room he was residing in the Yao Sect Palace. There was no Lotus pond in Dashan so he was quite amazed how beautiful the flowers were. Yong Jie even soaked his feet on the pond only to withdraw it since the water was cold.
Yong Jie was waiting for Yao Xue saying he would tour Yong Jie around the palace. Yong Jie dried his feet, wiping it with the back of his robes before wearing his boots.
Yong Jie wanted to go to where Yao Xue spends his time in the palace so Yao Xue took him to the library pavilion making Yong Jie pout. Of course, what did he expect?
Yao Chun saw Yao Xue and Yong Jie went inside the library pavilion. He sneaked as he tailed the two young masters. Yao Chun used to study and read books with Yao Xue in that library but he wasn't that fond of reading books, unlike Yao Xue who could stay in the library for days without going out.
Yao Chun hid on the edge of the shelves as he observed the two. It was Yao Chun's first time seeing Yao Xue that talkative as he introduces his favorite books he read in this library to Yong Jie.
To think that someone could break Yao Xue's shell that not even Yao Chun could. He tried before but Yao Xue would only talk less when they were together. Yao Xue would do some crazy things and joked around with him before too but in a stiff way.
Seeing Yao Xue's soft expression on his face made Yao Chun doubt if it was really Yao Xue or not.
Yong Jie smiled as he stared at Yao Xue while listening about the message of the poems and books that he likes to read. Though the whole library tour bored Yong Jie but seeing Yao Xue that enthusiastic filled the boredom. Yong Jie honestly didn't hear all of Yao Xue's talks but he was fond of his face.
It was rare for Yong Jie to see Yao Xue not in his usual restrained and cold face even though it suits him. Yong Jie chuckled and reached for Yao Xue's hair that was about to slide down on his face.
Yao Xue admits that he got carried away talking about his reading hobby and when Yong Jie brushed his hair, it sent a very familiar chill on his bones.
Yong Jie frowned as he withdrew his hand. "This scene looked so familiar. Like a deja vu." Yong Jie laughed as he shook his hand. "I think I dreamed about this."
"Why would you dream something like this?" Yao Xue turned around and walked to the table where we always sit every time we read in that library.
Yong Jie laughed. "I don't know. Maybe because I always think about you?" Yong Jie grinned and Yao Xue frowned. "Or maybe because you're always the one I sleep with every night?"
Yao Chun almost revealed his position when he heard what Yong Jie said. Sleep every night!? Yao Chun screamed inside his head.
"We should stop sleeping together." Yao Xue said, sitting on his place and Yong Jie sat on the floor, opposite Yao Xue, leaning his elbow on the table and placed his jaw on his hand.
"No. I like it that way." Yong Jie winked and Yao Xue gave him a bored expression.
Yao Chun was about to faint seeing how the two were flirting with each other! Yao Xue had something going on with another man! There was no way it was real. Yao Chun's head was spinning as he quietly went out of the library.
Yong Jie laughed and stood up. "You're aware that we're getting spied by your older brother, right?"
Yao Xue grabbed a brush as he nods his head.
"Don't you want to clean your name? He seems like he misunderstood something while eavesdropping."
Yong Jie actually grew his voice a little louder and said bold things for Yao Chun to hear. Seeing Yao Chun walked out of the library made Yong Jie laugh.
"I don't really mind." Yao Xue said.
Yong Jie sat back and ground the ink on the inkstone for Yao Xue, smiling.
"Young master Yao Xue wouldn't mind, huh?"
Yong Jie watched Yao Xue wrote in good calligraphy. Yong Jie did attempt to learn how to write with a brush but he gave up. Though his body easily adjusted when it comes to training, his hand still couldn't handle a brush the same as how the old Yong Jie could.
The way Yao Xue holds the brush with elegance made Yong Jie wanted to be the brush itself. Every brush strokes were gentle yet sharp.
"Yao Xue, I want to see where you spend your time in seclusion." Yong Jie said.

Cultivators mostly cultivate and secludes themselves in a cave so Yong Jie wasn't surprised that Yao Xue lead him to an entrance of a cave and Yong Jie shivered by just seeing the cold air oozing from the mouth of the cave.
"You seriously secluded yourself inside a cave! I am not surpri—ahh!" Yong Jie cried when he tripped with the root of a tree that was hidden by the dried leaves.
Yong Jie couldn't believe that he didn't notice it and hit his ass on the ground, twisting his ankle when he tried to dodge before he lost his balance.
"f**k!" Yong Jie cursed as he sat up. "I think my ankle got twisted."
"I'll help you up." Yao Xue said and he wrapped his arms around his shoulders and guided the limping Yong Jie to a rock and let him sit there.
Yao Xue crouched down and gently held Yong Jie's foot making Yong Jie flinched.
"I'm sorry." Yao Xue apologized and Yong Jie shook his hand.
Yong Jie saw people having their ankle twisted and then twist it back. He saw how painful it was that even a man would cry in tears.
"It's swollen." Yao Xue gently ran his fingers on his ankle.
Yao Chun didn't stop from sneaking behind the two cultivator's back and followed them. He was careful not to make any sounds as he walked and found a good spot to hide when he saw Yong Jie sitting on a rock with his back facing Yao Chun.
Yao Chun was stunned when he saw Yao Xue's head popped out from the rock who was crouched down in front of Yong Jie and he was doing something making Yong Jie reach for the top of his head and moaned.
Yao Chun's face heated up seeing how the two were doing such bold things outside, though the place was secluded yet there was no guarantee that no one would stroll there any time.
Yao Chun couldn't believe what he was seeing and fainted on the ground.
