Chapter 27

Updated  Brandon’s P.O.V   I saw the knife on Cedar’s side straight away and I knew that Carla had seen it as well, but there was nothing I could do to stop her using it because there were no rules in these fights. I watched as Carla stiffened slightly, then she relaxed and I knew right away that she had a plan. I watched as they circled each other, waiting to see who would attack first and then Cedar lunged forward. She swung a few punches and then did a round kick, hitting Carla in the stomach and causing her to drop to her knees. Carla was only down for a couple of seconds, catching her breath and then she got back up and did a swing kick, hitting Cedar in the head and forcing her head to jerk back. Cedar just looked at Carla and smirked, then she did a swing kick and kicked Carla in the head. I watched as Carla stood there, shaking her head a little, but all I felt was panic coming through the bond. What was wrong? What's going on? Had the kick done more damage than I thought?   Carla’s P.O.V   Darkness, that's all I could see was darkness and I didn’t like it. The kick to my head had caused my vision to leave me momentarily, but when it came back after a few seconds everything was blurry. As soon as it happened I knew exactly what Cedar was trying to do, she was watching my every move, as I was hers. I played along for a few seconds, making her think I was more injured than I was and as soon as my vision cleared I did a backflip, kicking Cedar in the jaw and dislocating it. Everyone around us could hear the crunch of the bone as it happened, then I did another kick, hitting her in the stomach and making her fall to the ground. I lifted my leg and was about to slam it down on Cedar’s back when she suddenly rolled out the way. Cedar got up and popped her jaw back in place, but the whole time her eyes were on me and then her eyes glazed over.   Cedar’s P.O.V   This was meant to be a walk in the park, she was meant to be easy for me to put her down, but so far she was putting me down and I really didn’t like that.   “What the f**k? She's stronger than they said she was, what do you think I should do?” I asked, mind-linking my mate who was standing at the side of the ring.   “I honestly don’t know, we’re in her pack so if we stab her then we’ll probably be in big trouble, she is their Luna after all.” He replied, mind-linking me back.   “Yeah, but the rules of this fight are there are no rules, so I’m going to put this b***h down in the next three minutes.” I said and ended the link. I smirked as I flipped over Carla, punching her in the back of the head and making her stumble back a bit, but she didn’t go down. Damn this b***h was strong, I thought, but before I had a chance to land on my feet, Carla turned and punched me, making me fall on the ground. I wasn’t expecting that and it winded me a little, but I quickly got up and brushed myself off, then turned and flipped Carla off. I hoped that it would piss her off and in turn would make her do something stupid, but instead she just rolled her eyes at me.   “Well now that is just childish. Any other childish behaviour you want to do before it starts back up?” Carla asked, but I just smirked at her.   “No, but you’re about to go down, b***h, you’re not that tough.” I replied, pulling the knife from my side. I know that she had already seen it, but I don’t think she had realised it was silver. I did a twist flip and landed on my feet just inches from Carla and she backed away from me as soon as she saw the knife in my hand. Yeah, that's right b***h, you should be scared.   Carla’s P.O.V   I saw the knife in her hand and backed away from her, but I wasn’t scared one bit of her or her pathetic knife. I lifted my leg slightly, pretending that I was about to do a swing kick and when Cedar swung at me with the knife, I brought my fist back and punched her in the face. I heard and felt the bones in her nose break against my fist and Cedar quickly dropped the knife, reaching her hands up to her nose. The blood dripped from her nose down her lips and chin as she cupped it and put it back in place.   “Now that it's out of the way, how about a real fight?” I asked, kicking the knife away. I didn’t bother giving Cedar enough time to answer as I rained down blow after blow to her stomach and face, knocking her head back with the force of my blows and breaking her nose again. Cedar stumbled forward, so I put my leg out, tripping her over and then grabbed a handful of her hair, yanking her head back so she was looking right into my eyes.   “So, you come into my territory and bring a knife to a fight. How low can you go to do that?” I asked, then shook my head as I looked at the man who came with her. Judging from the worried look on his face I now knew that he was Cedar’s mate. I pulled Cedar back to her feet, but only long enough to do a round kick, kicking her in the face and knocking her back on her ass again. Cedar managed to stumble and get on all fours, but it was no use as I lifted my leg and slammed it down hard on her back.   “AHHHHH!!! AHHHHH!!!!” Cedar screamed out as the bones in her back broke. I knew her back would heal, so I didn’t care, but her screams were deafening. Brandon came back into the ring and went right over to Cedar, kneeling beside her.   “Can you get up?” He asked, but she shook her head no as the tears streamed down her face.   “And the winner is Carla Rufus.” Brandon announced, coming over to me and raising my hand in the air. Everyone cheered and clapped me, but when I looked back over to Cedar I saw that she had been carried out of the ring and was now being helped back to the van they had arrived in.    “Give me a few minutes, love.” I said, mind-linking Brandon and he nodded, knowing what I was going to do. He let go of my hand and I left the ring, jogging over to where Cedar and her mate were.   “The next time you bring a knife into my territory will be the last time because I’ll make sure that you won’t be walking out of anywhere, is that clear?” I asked and they both nodded as Cedar was helped into the van.   “Good, now leave my territory. You gave me a good fight, but it would be better if you fight fair next time.” I said, slamming the van door shut behind them. I watched as the van quickly sped off and then jogged back over to Brandon.   “Are you okay?” He asked, checking me over for any injuries.   “Yeah, she only nicked my foot with the knife, nothing bad, don’t worry.” I replied and he nodded.   “Okay, I’m glad, but you still need to get it looked at.” He said, making me roll my eyes.   “Fine, I’ll go in a few minutes, but first I’m going to go shower and change, then I’ll go.” I replied and he smirked at me.   “You want some help?” Brandon asked, wiggling his eyebrows at me.    “You can help with a lot more.” I said, giggling softly and wiggling my eyebrows back at him.   “Come on, let's go. We have plenty of food and drink laid out for the packs, so let them have their fun, while we are occupied.” Brandon said, laughing as he took my hand, leading me back up to the pack house.
