Chapter 2

Updated  Unknown’s P.O.V   Huh, so she’s still fighting. Well, by the time I get done with her she won't be able to lift a finger, let alone a fist. I’m coming back for what is rightfully mine, my crown and vengeance. I am going to destroy that family and make sure that Brandon watches as I kill his mate and daughter, after all that son of a b***h killed my mate, so it's only fair I repay the favour.   “I know someone I can call and they would definitely help me get what I want. He has been wanting her and he’s been wanting to take her to make her fight for him, so maybe when he’s done with her he will do me the favour of killing her.” I said to myself, thinking out loud, but then Cal shook his head at me.   “Do you really think it will work? You remember what he said the last time he saw you, that if you ever stepped foot on his territory again he would kill you. Do you really want to take the risk?” Cal asked, making me laugh a little.   “Yes, I really think this is going to work because I am going to cause so much trouble for them that she will end up walking away and then Graham will snatch her up. While I’m dealing with him, Graham will kill her and I’ll kill that b***h of a daughter. Now come on, let's get going before anyone sees us. I don’t want anyone figuring out what I’m planning until it's too late.” I replied, rolling my eyes at him. We ran away as fast as we could away from the territory before anyone could see us.   Unknown Vampire’s P.O.V   It's been a few years since I have been with my mate, but he was such an over confident, arrogant bastard that he would get himself killed. f**k it, I didn’t care one bit as he was an evil man who always did who and what he wanted to. I had lost track of how many times I had busted in on him cheating on me and he always told me that he would change, which at first I honestly believed him and thought he would change his ways. He would have me fooled for a while, but then I would feel the pain of his betrayal and know right away what he was doing. I was planning to leave him tomorrow, but then I heard there was going to be a new Alpha for our clan and I knew that my mate would soon be dead, which would save me having to reject him. My mate was currently out hunting and the new Alpha would be here in an hour, so I knew that now was the only chance I had to leave because there was no way in hell I was going to be staying here with another asshole of an Alpha. My bags were packed and I was ready to go, but first I had to make sure everything was clear and free for me to do so. I took one last look around the room and then ran out of the house, fleeing into the woods as fast I could. I swerved and fled through the trees, making them look like one big blur as I passed them by. I finally made it out of the clan's territory and then stopped, dropping my bags on the floor and taking the piece of paper out of my pocket. There was one part of my past life that I would never forget and it was all because of one person. Carla Rufus.    I had met her in the back of a truck when we had both been traded. Neither of us knew what was going on, but we formed a sort of friendship for the short amount of time we were together. We kept each other calm in the back of that truck, even with the hoods on our heads, but when the hoods were removed we looked right at each other. Our friendship was short lived though when we were being bid on by other supernatural creatures. I wasn’t bid on, in fact I was claimed straight away by my mate, who turned out to be the devil in my eyes. I remember her trying to run into the room I was in because she thought I was being drained and killed, but I wasn’t. I remember that day like it was yesterday. My mate bit me hard, so hard that I really wished I had died that day, which would have been better than the life I had lived afterwards. She must have thought I had died that day, but I didn’t, sadly I was changed, but the last thing I remember was the look on Carla’s face as she was dragged away from the room I was in by some guy, who I assumed was the one who brought her. I wanted to shout out to her, tell her what was happening and beg her for help, but it was impossible and then she was gone. I often thought of her and wondered if she was okay, if she was happy and safe, but most of all I wondered if she was still alive. One thing I know for sure is that if she's not happy when I find her then I will be taking her with me and we will flee until we are able to find somewhere to be safe and live together. I looked back down at the address and memorised it before placing the piece of paper back into my pocket. I could run fast with my vampire speed, but without feeding my strength would lessen every day and if Carla needed help I would need my strength. Maybe I could hitch a ride with someone, who knows, but I need to get as far away as possible before my new Alpha comes. I grabbed my bags and threw them over my shoulder, then started to run as fast as I could once more. It's going to take me at least two weeks to get to Carla’s and I really hope she remembers me, that she’s still alive and unharmed. I ran as far and fast as I could, until the sun started to rise in the sky. I stopped once more and realised that I had been running for five hours and was now a good distance away from my old clan. I had to conserve my energy until I could feed again and thankfully I knew there was a road up ahead that led to a roadside motel, which would be perfect for me to take a shower and rest for a bit. I looked behind me one last time, making sure that no one was in sight and then started running again, this time heading for the motel.
