Jace and I climb into his car and decide to get ice cream to celebrate a successful first day of school and celebrate us both failing at the first day of school by both getting detentions.
I take a seat in his passenger seat and cross my legs and rest my feet on the seat. I lean back in the chair, “So, 18 detentions?”
He chuckles, “That impresses you?”
I roll my eyes, “No, I’m just curious what you did to merit 18 detentions”
