Lucas walked out of his mother's hospital room, his mind still reeling from the confrontation. He knew there would be fallout from his decision to confront Anna, but he couldn't dwell on it now. He had promised Lina he would remain by her side, and he intended to make good on that promise.
Entering the Stamos Hotel, Lucas found Lina and Anastasia in the lobby, planning their day out.
“You came back early. Is everything all right with your mother?” Surprised to see him back so soon, Lina jumped from her seat. Her concern, so genuine in both her eyes and voice, touched his wounded heart.
“She is fine, Lina. They will discharge her today. She doesn’t need me. So, I came to take you two on a tour.”
Anastasia's face lit up when she saw him, her excitement palpable.
