I was not exactly sure what I was expecting to hear Nathan say, but I certainly wasn’t expecting him to tell me that he was about to mate Alexandra. After all the talk of wanting to be with me.
How could he do this to me?
I shot up from the bed and snorted a short laugh. What was I supposed to say to that?
I waited for Nathan to say something, anything else, like maybe he would not mate with Alexandra or anything else, but instead he just sat quietly with his fingers intertwined, and his gaze fixed on the ground.
I was furious, but what right did I have to be upset? He was not mine to begin with, he always has been Alexandra’s and soon, they will be officially mated and she will be his queen.
