I knew this news would bring about this reaction from everybody. Alexandra looked as though she just saw a ghost while Luca did not seem the least bit bothered by the news.
But this was the best thing for the child. If the child is born illegitimate, it would cause a lot of problems not just for Alexandra but also for the child. And this would also save Alexandra’s reputation.
“No!” Alexandra yelped. “You cannot do this to me Nathan! I will not allow it.”
I frowned and then glanced at Luca. “Do you disagree with this?” I asked.
Luca glanced at Alexandra briefly and then returned his gaze to me. “I do not have a problem with it. It is what is best for everyone,” he said.
