“She is Luca’s true mate and they both love each other”. Nathan's words kept ringing in my head as I sat alone in my room, feeling like everything was closing in on me. As if my life had totally ended. Everything that had happened was weighing on me. My hands were trembling as I stared at the empty space in front of me, thinking about how all the lies had finally come out. Nathan now knew that the baby I was carrying wasn’t for him—it was Luca’s.
It was as if the ground should open and swallow me at that moment that the truth was revealed about me and Luca and the worst part, the pregnancy I had made Nathan believe was his.
