Chapter 4After lunch with my parents, I spend the rest of the day googling pictures of statues; I don’t care if they’re actual classics or newer pieces, as long as they look like they’re at least two thousand years old and made of marble or bronze. I look at the test pictures, draw more sketches, and make a detailed plan of action, including a list of things we’ll need and the dates I’m available. I lose myself completely in the task, preparing for the project meticulously. It’s dark outside when I finally come up for air, and I’m starving. I find a lonely granola bar in the kitchen that I scarf down in two bites as I grab my phone and send Johan a text. Sorry for not calling, got caught up in work again. I’ve made a plan.
