Chapter 15: Interesting Person.

Dream was walking around the City. He really wanted to play some soccer but, The field in the Academy currently getting something done. So, He was walking around searching for soccer field.

After running around for quite some time he find quite a big field filled with people with soccer uniform.

From Dream observation, All of them are pros. But only one person really caught Dream attention.

With a number 1 on his back. A boy at least 6 ft tall. With a smooth black hair and an aura that told people that he's the strongest. The serious look in his eyes indicates that His life is literally soccer.

Seeing that, Dream immediately know that being friend and playing against him is probably not bad.

All of his teammates seems like as old as him. Probably 16 years old. And the opponents is a team that filled with a veteran players.

It seems like they're recruiting people to join their club.

Dream doesn't want to join any club but, If they managed to make Dream interested, Dream probably will join.

So he choose to try out the club himself. The thing is, There's no other people except Dream that Try out this team. Everyone is testing the other team where there's a lot of veteran.

So Dream immediately get to play with the guy he was interested in.

Apparently, People call him Ray.

"Nice to meet you Dream. I'm the captain of this club. You can call me Cid."

"Nice to meet you too!"

Dream immediately get closed with the member. But, Ray doesn't seems that interested in him. So Dream approached him.

"Nice to meet you. You're Ray right? I'm Dream. I hope we can work together."

Dream said. Ray give him a cold response.

"I don't care. Just move and don't lose the ball."

He answered not looking at Dream.

"Well, Aren't you the serious one? Don't worry, I will make you shine even brighter."

Dream said while walking away. Ray doesn't seem to care.

"I'm sorry Dream... Ray is always like that."

"Don't worry Cid. I know how serious he is when It come to soccer. So, I will help him achieve what he can't."

"Thank you!"

They immediately get to their position. Cid won the rock paper scissor so, We got to do the kick off.

It's Dream and Ray in the middle. The Bell rang. Dream immediately kick the ball to Ray. Ray immediately take it and charged.

The people in the other team immediately rushed to stop him. It seems like they know that Ray is the center of Dream team attack. So they need to closed him off.

But, Ray is not a player that is selfish. He pass the ball back to Cid.

"Dream!"

Cid immediately give a direct pass without trapping the ball. The ball beautifully curved toward Dream.

"Hee, It's really spinning."

Without Stopping, Dream use the tip of his toe to trapped it.

Dream immediately saw a vision of the goal. He saw Ray charging in expecting a pass from Dream.

"As expected. I saw an endless way of goal from you."

Dream looked at Ray. Ray immediately ready for receiving any ball that come toward him.

"I'll give you a pass that can't be replace!"

Dream kick the ball toward Ray. The ball is heading toward the side of Ray. He immediately moved to chased the ball. But, He realized the spin.

"Correct. That's a pass that curved right to your zone!"

The ball curved right into Ray leg. He smiled and shoot it accurately right into the top right corner.

"UWOOO!!!"

The crowd went wild seeing the combo of Dream and Ray.

"Ray... Smiled?"

The teammates shocked seeing him smiled after receiving Dream pass.

"Nice shoot~ Want some more?"

Dream said with a teasing tone.

But, Ray doesn't answer his question.

"Well, I expected that."

Dream smiled. He knows how to make Ray beg for his pass.

"Shit... We already fallen behind!"

The other goal keeper immediately kick the ball to the middle.

"i***t! Don't do that unless you're playing with the usual team!"

The goal keeper seems to made a mistake. It seems like he was forgotten the fact that they were playing with a new player.

Ray easily trapped the ball. Dream and Ray charged together. The other team split their defense to guard Dream and Ray.

Ray look at Dream. Dream understand his intention.

Ray passed the ball to Dream. Ray immediately charged pass through the defense. Dream give back the ball to Ray and he also charged pass through the defense. Ray immediately get guarded by 4 people. Ray immediately get serious.

People try to grab Ray shoulder to steal the ball. Ray keep shifting the center of his balance to trick people he is going that way. But he go another way. Then using his hand, He shifted the guard center of balance to made it impossible reaching the ball.

Then he immediately give a strong pass to Dream.

"Wow, You're really good!"

Dream said while kicking the ball. It went to the Bottom corner.

"Shit... I know that Ray is dangerous but, Ever since that boy join, Ray abilities raise a notch."

Ray smiled like he was enjoying playing soccer. It seems like this was the first time in a while he enjoy playing. And the one who made it possible is Dream.

"Now... I should change my role into support now. I should let him do the attack himself."

Dream said. The keeper immediately pass the ball to the new player. They passed to each other until the ball reach the middle.

"Such a simple tactics won't work."

Ray said while stealing the ball. He immediately saw Dream running to the goal.

"You're really are. The best!"

He immediately gave a beautiful high ball. Then he chased after Dream.

"Block him!"

The goal keeper say to guard Dream. All of them immediately grouped toward Dream.

"I get the best supporting award!"

Dream immediately kick the ball to the side. Ray smiled and kick it as hard as he could toward the center of the goal. Leaving the keeper dumbfounded.

"Yeah... I think I will go serious. I need to gain some respect too..."

Dream said.

The ball was immediately brought to the middle. People started to rushed to get the ball. Dream let the ball get closer to their goal.

"Let's break their spirit."

Dream immediately charged at the ball. Leaving everyone behind. The speed of Dream is so fast that even Ray can't keep up.

They immediately form a wall to stop Dream. But Dream easily kick the ball to the side and charged that way.

"What with that guy?!"

People said. They were eating Dream dust. Dream kick the ball as hard as he could. Drilling the goal right in the middle.

They immediately fell into despair. Dream go back on supporting Ray. In the end, They annihilated them with score 11-0.

After the match, They decided to talk a little bit more.

"Dream! You're a really great player!"

Said Cid.

"Thank you. I really like playing soccer you know. Especially supporting Ray."

"... Your pass is good"

Ray said with a serious tone.

They talking about useless stuff until suddenly, A crimson haired woman come.

"Brother. Are you done?"

Ray and Dream look at the girl.

"Ah Krim. Yeah I'm done."

"Ah!"

Dream and Krim stared at each other. The rest of the team greeted Krim.

"Dream? What are you doing here?"

"I'm just playing soccer. Wait... You're Ray sister?"

"Yeah. Ray, Did you not introduce yourself to him?"

"No..."

Ray was shocked at the situation. He doesn't know what to do.

"Well then. Ray. This is Dream Enpierce. You should know him. And Dream, This is my Older Brother. Ray Ioda."

Ray immediately lowered his head to Dream.

"I'm sorry for not noticing. Thank you so much for saving her!"

"No problem. I just did what I should do after all. Seeing people get kidnapped by cult. Of course I will save them."

"Thank you very much."

Suddenly, Dream pocket started to ring.

"Ah, I think this is for Today. Let's meet again in here. If you want to call me, Just sent it through Krim. I have something to take care"

"Yes!"

Immediately Dream put the Ear piece in his ear.

"Yes This is Dream."

"This is Lily."

"Dream, Lily. Went to the south gate now. A horde of monster is coming to attack."

"Roger!"

Dream immediately vanished from the field. Leaving everyone shocked.

"So that's the Real Dream Enpierce?!"

People still surprised about the appearance of him.

As soon as Dream arrived at the South gate, There's a lot of people with armor and weapon. They're the army of Nova.

"What are you kids doing here?"

Said the man with armor. Dream and Lily explain the situation they're in.

"Oh, You were sent by Phantom Fist? Thank god."

'Phantom fist? That's a cool nickname for her...'

Dream thought about Elaine nickname.

After that, They immediately get to the frontline of the defense. Everyone immediately backed up and let them handle the situation.

"The type of monster is Ogre, Goblin, Troll, Hobgoblin. The Kind of them"

"Okay. So we need to kill it as fast as we could"

After hearing the type of the monster from the soldier, Dream and Lily devised their plan.

"I mean, We already kill goblin lord. We can kill them easily."

"True. Let's just go in and kill them all. I don't think they can give a fight."

Lily and Dream immediately charged. With Katana and Halberd in their hand.

With smile on their face, They annihilated the stampede of monster in an instant. As they went back to the Gate, They were welcomed with a cheer. They ignored all of that and went back to the academy.

"Great work Dream, Lily."

"Thank you miss..."

They're currently in Elaine office. After killing the stampede, They were called here.

"So, I have a good news for you two."

"What is it?"

"The king want to meet both of you."

Dream and Lily eyes widened.

"Really? Do we really have to?"

"Probably. Don't worry about it. I will be there with the both of you. After all, I also have met him before."

Hearing that, Made Dream and Lily felt much better.

"Sure... We will go."

"Great! Tomorrow, Wake up early and meet me in here!"

Dream and Lily went back to their room.

"Haa... Meeting with the king huh... I hope he doesn't want anything from me... I don't like being shackled with laws..."

"If he did shackles me with any laws...-"

Dream stopped midway through. Lily was wondering about what he's going to say.

"If he shackles us with laws?"

"I will leave the country."

"Really? Well then. I will follow you Dream."

"Thank you. I won't let anyone take our freedom."

Dream and Lily prepared for the worst. They don't want their freedom to be taken away from them. They would rather go to a place far away where they don't get bound to any law. Rather than living in a nice country in fame with law shackling their freedom.

Lily go back to her room and Dream immediately imagine the worst case scenario that can happen tomorrow.

Dream wake up. Take a bath and immediately go to have breakfast with Lily.

Dream try to think really positive. They walked toward Elaine office. Fortunately, Elaine brought them a great news.

"So, From what they said, They wanted to give you the same benefit like me. As you know, As one of the Protector, I wasn't bound to any law at all. So, I'm free to do anything I want. So, They want to give you the same thing."

"Oh really? That's a great news. You know miss, Dream is actually scared that his freedom might get taken away."

"Lily! Don't say it!"

"Haha! Don't worry. You're going to be alright. You are my students. Not even the kings want to have fight with you. That's why they won't do anything stupid. Moreover, You are strong. If you don't like him just punch him. That's what I do."

"Wait miss. What's exactly you do?"

Dream and Lily was confused by the confession that Elaine just made. She punch a king she said.

"When I was young, The prince actually ask me to marry him. Hearing that, The king also force me to marry the prince. I wasn't amused by it so, I just beat the s**t out of them. Obviously, They try to fight back. But, I was the strongest person in there. So, I just beat the s**t out of everybody. In the end, They gave me a permission to be free and do what ever I want. Just remember this Dream, Lily. You guys are the future strongest. No one can mess with you"

Hearing Elaine explanation gave Dream more reason to trust it.

"Alright then miss. I will keep that in mind. Just beat the s**t out of everybody that try to mess with us."

"Correct. Now, Let's greet the punching bag!"

Elaine saying things like that with a great excitement Dream an Lily Worried.

"Oh Welcome, Elaine. Those two must be the people that you said will be the future of humanity huh?"

"Yes. Both of them. I know I already told you the name."

"Haha! Dream and Lily correct? My name is Holt Nova. The current king of Nova Kingdom!"

The king is around the same age as Elaine. He's probably the prince that Elaine beat up in the past.

Elaine, Dream and Lily doesn't kneel before him. The guard Kneel before them. And, Holt is actually not sitting on the throne. He was standing right in front of them. Because They know that, They're in the top of humanity.

"Well, You probably know what I'm about to say from Elaine. And all of it is true. I still appreciate both of you to come here."

"Ah Yes. No problem."

Dream and Lily still look very awkward in front of him.

Not too long after that, They immediately went to the Dining room.

They had a luxurious meal in the castle. After that, They say their goodbye to Holt and went back to the Academy.

They were just hanging out in the student lounge area. Dream and Lily were searching for something fun to do.

"Ah right! Lily, Yesterday, I meet a really interesting person."

"Really? Who is it?"

"His name was Ray Ioda. He was a great soccer Player."

"Ioda? Is he Krim Brother or something?"

"Yes. He was Krim Big Brother. The way he play is really incredible."

Lily was shocked seeing Dream act like this.

"To see you this excited talking about him. I want to meet him now..."

"Well, I would like to play with him again. I told him to call me via Krim if he want to play."

Then, like a miracle, Krim approach Dream.

"Dream, Ray wanted to train with you today. Can you meet him?"

"Oh, Speaking of which. I would. Let's go then!"

Dream and Lily immediately stand up. Krim and Lily was talking. They wanted to see why the two guys always talking about each other.

"Yo Ray!"

"You come."

Dream greeted Ray. He was already wearing his uniform. Everyone seems to be here. It seems like yesterday match actually help the team. The member is significantly increased. There's also a lot of girls watching. Probably seeing Ray and Dream.

"So, We're going to train against Team B?"

Dream ask Ray. Ray nodded.

"Well then. I should get ready too. See you in the field, Striker."

Their position was made clear. Ray as Striker while Dream as Forward. Ray was happy when hearing that Dream is a forward. That means that he will get a lot of creative passes from Dream.

"Well then Lily. Make sure you watch carefully okay?"

Lily was astonished seeing Dream wearing the Team uniform. With a number 2 on his back.

"Good Luck Dream. Don't crushed them too much. They're still your teammate."

Hearing that, Dream gave Lily a thumbs up and a smile.

"Really... You become different now."

Lily noticed the change of Dream. She was really happy seeing him like that.

Krim decided to sat next to Lily. They have the same look on their face.

Dream and Ray was on the Team B field. Dream was waiting for a ball to came to him and Ray is waiting for Dream to pass the ball to him.

They decided to not go too hard on Team B because they want to train them, Not Crush them. So they play a little bit slower.

They positioned themselves in a place where there's a lot of room to pass the ball.

Cid was holding the ball so that the opponent can't steal it from him. But, He was overwhelmed by the amount of them. Cid Glances at Dream.

In an instant, The three of them made their move. Cid, Pass the ball with a high speed toward Dream. Dream trapped the ball perfectly and immediately passed it toward Ray.

Ray immediately positioned himself in a perfect places. He observe the ball movement and rotation to positioned himself.

He take a position to shoot. A wall immediately formed in front of him. Ray immediately slide the ball to the side and kick it with the same foot.

Goal for Ray.

"Hoo, So that's why Dream was excited playing with him."

"That's really cool..."

Lily and Krim was astounded by the play that made by the both of them.

"Good. That's a stylish goal."

Dream grinned looking at it. Ray was running toward Dream. Dream put his hand up asking hor a high five. Ray deliver.

"What? Ray high five?!"

Even Krim was shocked seeing Ray giving a high five.

"I guess he's really enjoying it right now..."

Team B immediately launch a counter. They kick the ball as hard as they could toward Team A.

Dream and Ray not really moving to chase it. They let the defender to try and stop it. If they can't that mean that they only win because Dream and Ray with them. They were giving a chance for the defender to prove themselves that they are also strong.

Dream and Ray look at the defense. They notice that they have a fire burning inside their eyes.

Ray probably look like the person who doesn't care at his teammates. But the truth is, He's the one who really care about them. He always gave them advice to improve their play. But, The way he said it feels like he was demanding something more.

Cid is really fired up. He follow the ball everywhere. The other immediately went to cover with him.

There's a lot of talented player in the Team B. They probably would Replace all of them if they not show a high level play.

Cid who realize that, Gritted his teeth. He followed the ball and then steal it. They immediately went to grab him. But, Cid immediately do a roulette.

"I know you can do it."

Ray muttered. Dream who heard that immediately run.

Cid immediately pass the ball to Dream. Team B who see the Pass Toward Dream. Immediately cover Ray.

"i***t. If you cover me, Dream will be free."

Ray said to them. They realized that but, It was too late.

From the middle line, Dream shoot it. The ball went really high that, It looked like it was going to be out. But, Right in front of the goal, The ball extremely spin down.

"Dream Special Goal, Arrived!"

Right to the bottom Right corner. The match went for another 80 minutes. The scores is 5 - 2. Dream and Ray get subbed out with another player. After that last goal from Dream, Both of them thought that it was enough for them to play. So they head to another field to train with each other.

Naturally, Krim and Lily is followed them.

This particular Field is just right beside the field where they just play. So, Occasionally, They can see who made the goal.

Dream and Ray is cooling down by giving each other a high level pass.

It seems like Krim and Lily made a plan to get Dream and Ray get closer as a friend.

After that, They talk with the Team for a bit before heading to the shower and clean their sweats.

Then they go have a nice dinner together. The bond between the 4 of them increased.

"He really is an interesting person."

Lily said.

"Right? I feel like we can get close. I hope he think of me as a bestfriend now."

"Haha... I hope so too Dream."

Dream and Lily walked toward the Dorm with their hand tangled with each other.

"Wait what?"

The air feel really awkward in the student council room. Elaine just said something really awesome yet dumb at the same time.

"Summer competition?"

Eis said with dumbfounded face.

According to Eis reaction, This seems like a new thing that Elaine tried.

"What exactly is the competition miss?"

Lily ask the real question.

"The competition is simple. It's more sports oriented rather than combat. So, Soccer, Volley, Basket. But the twist is, The ground is sand."

"Wait what? Can you even play Basket in sand?"

"Fufu... We invented a new ball that can bounce even in sand."

"Really? Do other team outside our academy come too?"

"Yes. The Competition is public after all."

Hearing that, Dream eyes widened. Lily immediately know what Dream trying to do.

"Miss, Can student join the public team?"

Lily ask. She really wanted to see Dream play with Ray in an official match.

"Of course. Why? Do you have a team that going to join? Just invite them! Make it more glorious!"

Elaine answer.

"Hear that Dream? You can invite him to play with you."

Hearing Lily giving a sneak peek of Dream teammates, People immediately get curious.

"Dream have a team?"

"Well, I do. If they want to play in the competition, I'm going to give you guys a really entertaining show."

"Now, Make sure to bring them. I'm really eager to watch it!"

People now demanding Dream to bring his team there. So he will need Krim assistance to convince Ray.

"Well, Tomorrow is the registration day. So, If you want to join, Better be quick"

"Alright miss, I will be back!"

Hearing that, Dream immediately went out to search for Krim. Lily chased behind him because she knew where Krim was.

After telling Krim his intention, They went back to the student council room.

"Oh, you guys back already?"

"Well, I just ask the sister of the player I knew. So, She going to tell him."

"Are you sure he's going to come?"

"Probably."

Dream doesn't seem confident at all answering their question. But, Deep inside his mind he knew that Ray will come.

After that, The student council have fun together as an organization.
