Chapter 34: Peaceful Day.

Finally, It's time for the Competition to start. Dream was in charge of a security. And there's no other people that is qualified as Dream in that category.

So, He left the other job to his Friends. Because Dream get the job of keeping the competition safe, He can go around the mountain to check on everyone.

Because the Royal family will be attending the Competition as well, Dream prioritize to accompany them to the VIP area.

"Ah There they are!"

Dream felt the Aura of Nanae. So he immediately moved toward Nanae. And immediately, He saw the King, The Queen and the Prince.

The prince is around 12 Years old. With his white hair and blue eyes. He really look like His mother and sister.

"Hello everyone! I'm here to personally Escort you to the VIP area."

As soon as Dream presence entered their eyes, Nanae jumped toward Dream. Dream immediately catch Nanae.

"Good Morning! How is your condition?"

Nanae asked. After what happened yesterday, It seems like people still worried about Dream condition. Dream appreciate that. So he smiled and answer Nanae question.

"Well. I'm feeling really good. I'm excited to see how this competition will unfold. Since We've been working on this for quite a while."

"Really? Then I will look forward to it!"

Nanae look very happy. The happiness spread around the people around her too.

"Well then, All of you, Let's go to the VIP spot!"

Dream said. Holt, Sophie the Queen and Jun the Prince. All followed Dream with a happy face. Then they arrived in a place where Elaine sit.

"Well then. Enjoy your time and I will keep on checking after some time!"

Dream vanished. He patrolled around the area to check on hostile creature. After couple of hours, All of the competitors seems to arrived. And the Competition is started with Elaine, Holt and Sophie as a judge.

Everyone but Dream watch the competition. Dream was still going around the area to keep everyone safe.

Dream take a rest in a tree nearby and he can hear people screaming from the Frozen Lake. He eat his sandwiches and drink his juice. After that, He went to the VIP area to join everyone else.

But, Not like everyone else who's captivated by the technique of the skaters. Dream is there just to enjoy his rest. Because he was sneaky, Everyone didn't notice him.

After this particular good skater turn is finished. Their tension goes back down. And then when they turned around, They saw Dream sleeping on a sofa.

They were shocked by that and decided to play rock paper scissor. And obviously the winner is Lily.

"Well then, I will be helping my self."

Lily said. She moved toward Dream while everyone looking really jealous of her. Lily crouched right in front of Dream face. Hilda, Jasmine, and Nanae become even more jealous.

Lily smooch Dream lip. In that moment, The girls snapped. They become so jealous of Lily that they doesn't care about anything anymore. So they all take turn and kiss Dream.

By the end, Dream felt really uncomfortable that He wake up. He look at everyone who's really red.

"You guys... If you want a kiss you should've just asked me... My mood is really great right now. So, I won't mind it."

"Eh?! Really?!"

Everyone said.

"Yes! But not right now. What happened if someone walked in?"

Everyone went silent.

"Exactly. Well then. You guys enjoy the performance. I want to go back patrolling the area!"

As he said that, He vanished. Everyone immediately feel excited. Then, Ray comes in with Eis. They feel the weird atmosphere and go back out.

They walked back to the Viewer seat and watch it there.

"Void: Sen!"

After Dream get quite far away from the area, He chant something. Then suddenly, A black cloak cover his body. And the air around him become heavy.

"Yoga. Are you there?"

'Yes Master!'

"Great! Come out now!"

Dream said. And immediately, Yoga take a human form and appear right in front of Dream.

"So Yoga. From now on, You're going to be fighting with me. Not as a Weapon but as a teammate."

"Oh Really?! Yaaay!"

After hearing that, Yoga felt happy because she can stay in her human form. Then she asked Dream something.

"If I'm the one who used the weapon, What about you Master? What are you going to use?"

"Well, With my Leviathan mark and my Void. Ah But don't misunderstand! It's not like I'm throwing you off! I just want you to feel how it felt in the Human world."

Yoga smiled at Dream.

"Thank you Master!"

Yoga suddenly grab something from the air. A halberd was summoned. Then she changed it into chains, orb, bow.

"So My weapons is still depends on you Master."

"Really? Then I will try to unlock all 7 form in the future."

"Thank you."

Then Dream take some distance from Yoga.

"Yoga. Shoot me with Bow of Invidia!"

"Hm? Okay!"

Yoga summon the Bow of Invidia. And the weapon seems like they're in a better hand. Because the 7 Weapon originally used by Yoga. And she had more dexterity with it than Dream.

Suddenly, 5 Black Arrow appear and she grabbed it and pull it back.

Dream want to test his theory of Void.

"Shoot it!"

Dream said. Then, Yoga release the arrow. 5 Arrow fly toward Dream in an incredible speed.

But, Before it can hit Dream, It stopped immediately about 1 inch from Dream body.

Yoga was surprised by that.

"Yup! Seems like it was working."

"What is that?"

Yoga ask. Dream immediately walked toward Yoga and they sat down in the snow. Dream explain to Yoga his thought process.

"So, From my understanding of Void. It's just an empty space that has nothing in it. And if you put something in it, It would destroy that thing completely. But then, If I control that empty space to stop destroying things. Instead, Just keep them in place."

Dream explain. Yoga nodded at his explanation.

"And that 'Void' Is constantly protecting me. And if I control that 'Void' to just stop or destroy a 'Dangerous Object'."

After hearing that, Yoga cut off Dream from his explanation.

"Wait! That's crazy! Doesn't it mean that you're invincible now?!"

"Pretty much. But that 'Void' will only appear when I use my 'Void: Sen'. So, It's not like I'm always invincible. But sometimes, I could be Invincible."

Yoga nodded. Then Dream resume his explanation.

"And then. I can expand that 'Void' And make it look like."

Dream closed his eyes to focus. Yoga was looking at him weird. She was scared of what about to happen right now.

"This..."

Dream open his eyes. And then in that moment. Yoga felt something she never felt before. A quiet, dark and big space.

"Where are we?"

"We're in my 'Void'"

Their voice echoed. While Yoga felt really heavy inside that space, Dream felt nothing at all. Because, It is his space after all.

"This is my 'Void'. An area secluded from the usual dimension. No one can come here except Me and the people that I allowed to."

"That's crazy..."

Then, Dream deactivate his 'Void' and they went back to the normal world.

"At least for now, That's the only way that I can use my 'Void'. I will try to gain more experience using my 'Void' to eventually make a really good technique with it."

"Hm Yeah. You're going to become even stronger..."

Yoga said.

"Sen."

Dream chanted. The black cloak around him disappear and the air around him become normal once again.

"And if I deactivate that. The 'Void' around me will still be there for around 1 minute before it disappear."

"Okay. So that's a safety measure huh..."

"Yup!"

That explain when Elaine throw rock at him with full strength it disappear.

After that, They do their job and patrol around the area. Eventually, The competition is over. It's 8 PM and they were cleaning the area now.

Everyone but Dream did that. As for Dream, He was sending the Royal Family back to their car.

"Well then. All of you. Take care."

"Please visit us later! I want to talk about you and Nanae."

Said Sophie. Nanae is sitting right beside her and let out a big smile toward Dream.

"Of course Miss. I definitely would come. Probably the day after tomorrow?"

"Ah! Then we will be waiting for you~" 

"Yes."

Nanae waved her hand toward him. Dream waved back. Then, They drive away. Dream went back to the site to help the rest of the student council.

At this point, It's only them in the area right now. So they use their power to clean the place in an instant.

After done cleaning up. They went inside Elaine car and drive down Manamoa. It's 12 AM. And they're still full of energy. So they were thinking to just drive all the way without any stop.

Lily and Elaine in the front, Jasmine, Dream and Hilda in the middle while Ray and Krim is in the back.

And they talk about the next thing that they will do.

"So, Who's in charge to train Hilda?"

Dream said. Then everyone without saying anything look at Dream.

"Yeah of course you look at me... Do you think I'm really that good of a teacher?"

Everyone nodded. Dream was honestly shocked by that.

"Oh! That's surprising. Then Hilda, Starting today. I'm going to train you. Are you alright with that?"

Hilda look at Dream with sparkly eyes.

"Yes!"

"Alright then. I'll think of your training regime later."

Everyone immediately get chills hearing that. Ray immediately asked Dream.

"D-Dream... You're not going to give her a hard training right?"

Ray said nervously.

"No. I'm going to give her an easy one."

Ray eyes filled with doubt as he hear that.

"Give me an example of an easy training right now!"

Ray said. Dream look back toward Ray.

"I know that you probably think that I'm going to give her my training regime. But no. The first hour of training, I will let Hilda choose her own weapon. Then, I will teach her the correct form. Then, Depending on the weapon she use, I will teach her a couple of technique. Just that you know?"

Everyone sighed in relieved. Hilda who doesn't understand a single thing just look toward Dream innocently.

"Don't worry Hilda. I'm not going to make you train really hard."

"Thank you!"

Hilda smiled and hug Dream hand.

Then, Elaine broke the happy atmosphere.

"You guys didn't forget about the exam aren't you?"

Everyone except Hilda jolt. Elaine notice that and sighed.

"You did didn't you..."

Everyone let out an awkward look toward Elaine.

"Just so you know. The exam is a tournament style. And you know what that mean. The strongest one will be in the Class A. And it doesn't matter from what class they are. If they managed to be in the top 20. They're going straight into class A. So, you better become stronger!"

Elaine said.

"Really? Then it doesn't matter for me then."

Dream said with confidence.

"Yup. You're not going to join the test because you're going to kill everyone with the current you."

Dream was shocked by Elaine statement.

"You know already Miss?"

Dream said. Everyone looked at Dream with confused look.

"Of course I know. With your current power. Even if you gather every single living being in the world. We're still lose."

Everyone was genuinely surprised.

"Is that even possible?!"

Lily said.

"Yes. Right Dream?"

"Yes. That's correct."

Everyone was loss for word from Dream statement.

On the way back. A giant silver snakes appear on the road. The size is bigger than the Wyrm. Elaine stop the car in panic.

"Well then. It's probably the right time to show you what she mean."

Dream said. Everyone went out to get a better view of Dream.

"Void: Sen!"

Dream chanted. Black Cloak appear. Black aura was flowing out from him. Everyone shudder and went on their knees. Even Elaine who used to being under pressure. She's never even Kneeled in her live even once. But when Dream was in front of her like that. Even her kneeled.

The Silver snakes shudder in fear. Dream walked slowly toward it. The snakes slowly slither back.

Dream closed his eyes. And when he open his eyes. He and the Silver Snakes vanished.

"Where did he go?!"

Everybody immediately look around to search for Dream. But then, A second later he come back.

"Where's the snake?"

Ask Elaine.

"I killed it. What else?"

"Yeah... But how did you kill it?"

Dream smiled and said.

"Everyone. Please launch your strongest attack to me right now!"

"Okay..."

Everyone was kind of sketched out by Dream attitude. But, They still do what Dream told them to.

Ray, Elaine, and Lily moved quickly toward Dream.

"Lily Original: Half Moon s***h!"

"Phantom Strike!"

"Ray Style: Absolute Counter!"

They use their attack toward Dream. But obviously. Nothing actually hit Dream body. Their attack was stopped right 1 inch where it was supposed to hit.

"This is my 'Void' I set it to stop anything from hitting me. And what happened to the snake is that I set my 'Void' to destroy anything that it touches. And because it was in my 'Void'. It was disintegrated."

Everyone get chills.

"So yeah. It's really a terrifying power but, don't overthink it that much. I will try to hold myself back from using it unless I really need to."

"That's great then."

They went back into the car and because the Atmosphere is kind of awkward. Dream was bored so he slept.

Then, Everyone started to sleep as well.

And at 7 AM. They arrived at the Academy. Everyone has a good night sleep in the car. So, Elaine goes to the field to train everyone while Dream and Hilda went to the gym.

"So Hilda. What kind of weapon do you want to use?"

Dream said. Hilda seems to have an answer to that as she immediately answered Dream question.

"A sword!"

"A regular sword?"

"Yes!"

'It's not a bad choice for her. She probably wouldn't want Ray type sword. So, I think a thin and light sword should be fine.'

"Alright then. Let's pick a sword for you to use from the storage."

Dream said. Hilda follow Dream toward the storage of the gym. In there they see a lot of weapons. And Dream told Hilda to follow him.

After they arrived at the sword box. Dream pick one out. The swords is all the same type so it doesn't matter which one he picks for Hilda.

Then they went back and Dream hand Hilda the sword.

"Okay Hilda. Let me see your form first."

Dream said. Hilda nodded and she immediately take her stance.

From the first look. Dream immediately thought.

'She's indeed a beginner. But for some reason. I can't help but notice that she had a talent with it. Yoga, What do you think?'

'Yes! She had a great affinity with sword. Just look at her stance!'

As soon as she said that. Yoga come out in her human form.

"Well then Hilda. Just attack me with everything you had!"

"Eh? Okay!"

Dream activate his Leviathan Mark.

"Yoga. Observe her. If there's some movement that you think is a waste. Just tell her."

"Aye Master!"

 After that. Yoga move to the side to observe Hilda movement.

"I'm ready!"

Hilda said. Dream stand right in front of her. Hilda immediately charged toward Dream.

She swing her sword from the bottom right toward Dream neck. It went through Dream liquid form right from the shoulder up toward the right ear.

Dream was surprised by Hilda first ever strike. He look over toward Yoga and she also look surprised.

"How is that?"

Hilda ask timidly. Yoga walked over toward Dream. They both look at each other and nodded in agreement.

"That was amazing! If you do that to other person they will definitely died! So precise!"

Dream said. Hearing Dream compliment, Hilda immediately burst into happiness.

"Thank you very much!"

"So, Did you already know how to use sword before? That move isn't a move that beginner can use."

"Ah I'm really am a beginner! After looking at Lily technique, I thought that I can copy her. But, It seems like it doesn't work. So, I'm surprised that you guys think that was awesome..."

Hilda said. Dream was shocked after hearing that statement.

"Well if you were thinking of copying Lily technique, that's really hard to do. First of all, Lily technique relies on her soft movement. And that soft movement is followed by a really fast motion. It took a long time to perfect that."

Hilda nodded after hearing Dream explanation.

"So it would better if you make your own style. Me, Lily and Ray use our own style when fighting our opponent."

"That's makes sense. So how can I make my own style?"

"Easy! Hilda. What do you personally think is useful in a fight?"

"I think it's speed and accuracy of attack."

"Then build your style around that. For me, I build my style based on the destructiveness and formless. So I build my style around that. No matter what technique that I use, I can use it with anything and the destructiveness it causes still the same or even stronger. Depending on what I use."

Hilda nodded hearing Dream explanation. She immediately take her stance once again.

"You've think of any technique yet?"

"Yes!"

Hilda said with confidence.

"Good. Now, Let test it!"

Hilda hold her sword forward. She slightly ducked to gain some air resistance. Then, Using all of her leg power. She charged toward Dream.

While she passed Dream body, She cut Dream 3 times accurately in the Neck, Shoulder, and Leg. It was clear that the cut was made at the same time because of Dream Liquid form was split at the same time.

'That move! It's not a beginner move! If a normal person want to try something like 3 cut in the same times. They would need to train hard for 5 years. And Hilda only need 1 day?!'

"That's crazy..."

Dream said. But then.

"Ugh..."

Hilda grunt in pain.

Dream immediately run toward Hilda and asked.

"What happened?"

"Ah... My legs and wrist is hurt..."

"I see. Don't worry about it. You just need to train your physique in order to fight the muscle soreness."

Hilda nodded. Dream handed her a potion. She drank all of it and said.

"Geeh... Bitter..."

"You'll get used to it..."

Dream said. He definitely know how the potion tasted. It taste really bitter. But, As time goes on, He get more and more injured. So he need to drink a lot of potion. So he is already used to taste the bitterness.

"Then. What are you going to name your first technique?"

Dream asked. Hilda stopped talking and started to think on names.

"Well, How about I named it Vital s***h?"

"I think that's good! So it's Hilda Original: Vital s***h. Correct?"

"Yes!"

"Congratulation Hilda. You've step your foot to the equation to create Techniques."

With that, Dream continued to train Hilda. With the help of Yoga. Her progress is going smoothly.

In order to combat her first weakness. She need to train her body to the point that she's able to use her technique multiple times in a row without feeling any soreness.
