A Glimpse of Us

Beep.beep.Beep. My alarm clock rang waking me early in the morning I rose up the bed shut the alarm and then fold the bed. And after a while I hear my mom's voice saying , Luke it's time to eat come join us . I go to the bathroom wash my face and afterwards I go to the kitchen. As I enter the kitchen my mom said, Good morning Luke are you excited for today. Good morning mom,, yeah I'm excited because it's my first day as a college student. After we eat I took a bath and then go to the school. Before I can enter the school gate I hear a woman's voice saying , hey Luke wait up.When I turn I saw Ella my best friend since pre-school.She's a lovely pretty but has a boyish personality ,she's also strict when it comes to studies . Because we're too close other people mistaken us for being siblings.She's my partner in all things. (Back to school ) Hey Luke you're also excited for today aren't you? I replied; yeah because I'm pretty sure there will be many sexy girls in our school. She hit me and said, we're now college Luke stop being a playboy ,I replied aw come on you're no fun at all, let's go inside the campus. Ella and me goes to different classrooms because she's in the criminology department while me is in the accounting department. The professor entered the classroom and said , Good morning everyone I'm Mr. Ramon Manansala I'll be your professor in calculus . Although I only met him once I can guarantee that Mr.Manansala is funny and kind teacher . Because the way he talks to us feels like we've known him for a long time . (Back in the classroom) Mr.Manansala gives us the requirements in his subject, sitting at my right is a hot and sexy lady and she asked me if I have an extra pen and if she can borrow it, and because she's hot and pretty I let her borrow my pen so she can list the requirements.After the class I approached her and ask her name, Hi I'm Luke and your? She answered , ahm Niña I'm Niña. I said, Can we be friends? She answered,yes of course,and then I asked wanna go to the canteen together with me?she replied, sure why not? On our way to the canteen we encounter Ella, so I called her and said,hey Ella let me introduce my new friend, she walk towards us and said hey Luke it seems you got a new friend. I said, ahm yeah , Ella this is Niña my classmate Niña this is Ella my best friend.They say hello to each other and then the three of us goes to the canteen together. On our table while waiting for the food we ordered Ella ask Niña if she has a boyfriend. And Niña answered no and I haven't had a boyfriend even once . I am shocked of what I've heard from Niña so I asked, how come you didn't have a boyfriend even just once with your pretty face? She answered, Because it hadn't come cross to my mind yet, there are many boys who court me but I rejected them all .Ella said , ow I feel pity for them while looking at me with a smile on her face. After that Niña asked , what about you two are you in a relationship already? Ella answered no both of us are single and just like you I haven't had a boyfriend since birth,but this man here have so many ex's during high school he always make girls cry (while looking at me with a nasty look on her face) .And then a moment later the food arrives,, so I said enough chitchat let's eat already. Because we don't have classes in the afternoon we decided to go shopping and buy the requirements before we go home. On the mall Ella said, hey guys since we are here why don't we have some fun , Niña agreed with her decision, so we go to the 10th floor where the peria and other fun games are. Due to so much excitement and enjoyment we hadn't mind the time and it's already 6:00 pm when I look at my phone. So we decided to eat in the food hub inside the mall before we go home . A moment later my phone rang(my mom called)so I go away and answer the phone, hello mom? Luke go home at 7:00 pm because your uncle from states is here .You mean uncle Tom ? My mom said, yeah he's here and he wants to talk with you so don't forget to go home at 7: 00 okay? I replied, okay mom bye . As I go back to table Ella ask, who's that? I answered that's mom , she wants me to go home early because uncle Tom wants to talk to me. Ella said , don't tell that he hasn't given up about taking you to the states. I said,yeah you're right but you know that I don't wanna go there because I don't want to be apart with my family and you also. Niña replied, ahmm we're too close but can I meddle in your business what was his reason of taking you to states? I replied, it's very selfish because he wants me to study medicine just like him even though I already explained that I'm not interested in taking up a medicine course and most especially I'm not interested in studying abroad. Niña said ,why don't you talk to him Right now I know he will understand just have a firm decision. I was startled by what Niña said so I stared her at the eyes and I can guarantee that she's not just beautiful outside but also inside. After we eat I ride train then go home immediately ,at our house my mom is waiting for me at the gate while uncle Tom and Dad is talking. She said ,hi son how's your first day of school? I replied , it was good mom. Where's uncle Tom? mom replied, he's on the terrace talking with your dad then I said ,they sure have a same mindset. ( My mom smiles) After I change my clothes I go to the terrace then uncle Tom said, hey Luke you've already grown up . My dad said , this is consistent on being a honor student during his high school days brother not just honor he's also the top 1 in class. Uncle Tom said, aw really that's why I'm so proud of you Luke I see my youth in you.And I replied,hi uncle what is it you wanna talk with me? He said, actually Luke I have a good news for you because me and my wife decided to take you to states but you'll have your freedom in choosing the course. I replied,ow that's cool. My father said , cool right so why don't go to the states then study abroad your intelligence will be wasted when you stays in the Philippines. I replied, you know uncle you have a very generous offer but I'm really not interested in studying abroad. My dad said, are you afraid to leave your boyish best friend .I replied, Not just that dad I also don't want to be apart with you my family you mean so much to me.Uncle Tom said, I'll give you time to think about my offer Luke I'm not asking you to answer directly ,I replied, okay uncle but my answer will remain the same. My dad said , ahm go to rest already Luke and take time to think about your uncle's offer me and your uncle will have some important matters to talk to. I replied,okay dad uncle Tom see you. When I'm in my room I text Ella , hey Ella did you get Niña's socmed accounts? She replied, only her f*******:. I replied, what is it? Come on tell me. She said , let's have a deal treat me tomorrow and I will tell you. I replied, urg, alright,just tell her f*******: account.She replied it's Niña Reyes don't forget about our deal okay? I said , alright thanks. I stalked Niña's f*******: account and add her , eventually she accepted my friend request right away so we began talking.I chatted first, Hi Niña ?she replied, hello Luke how was your uncle did you turn him down? I replied, yes but he insist on giving me time to think about his offer. What about you ? How's your day? She replied, it felt so good to be with you guys I've had so much fun thank you so much. I replied, no don't bother thanking us, hmm btw can I call you? She replied,yeah sure. (Phone ringing)I'm shocked seeing Niña so beautiful even in sleeping attire so I said, you're really beautiful Niña like an angel Fallen from above.She said ,stop flattering me Luke that won't work on me.I replied, I'm telling the truth you're really beautiful Niña your boyfriend will be very lucky because you're not just beautiful outside but also inside. She said, thank you but why do you say I'm also good inside? We only met today Luke . I replied,yeah we only met today but I can tell that you're a good person. We talked until 12:00 am and then .... She said, ow it's already 12:00 let's both go to sleep because we have class tomorrow. I replied,yeah sure see you at the school tomorrow, good night.
