Grandpa is dead!

Archie rubbed his forehead; it had been a week, and he had no idea where his Grandpa went. No one was able to find him, as if he had disappeared forever He was patient of heart disease, his medicines were left in the car. If news leaked about his disappearance, the stocks of the Turner Group would be affected. People would lose trust in their company. A hand rested on his shoulder, and he looked up. It was his mom, Myra, an elegant lady of the Turner family. From head to toe, dressed in lavish clothes and accessories, she epitomized luxury. "Have you got any clue about your Grandpa?" his mother asked. He curled his lips down and he shook his head. "There were no CCTV cameras where his car was found. His phone was left in the car. We asked the locals about him, but even they had not seen him anywhere," he told his mom. His phone had been vibrating since morning, but he hadn't answered any calls. Everyone was asking about Grandpa Turner, but he had no answer. "Does your uncle know about it?" his mom asked. Before he could answer, he saw Ryan and his uncle coming through the gate. "Grandpa is missing, and you didn't even inform us?" Ryan asked Archie. Ryan was his uncle's son. Even though he was not a significant competitor to Archie, they always tried to find something to ruin Archie's image at shareholder meetings. "So you want me to call and inform everyone?" Archie answered and got up from his chair. He fixed the buttons of his coat and began leaving. His uncle Patric held his shoulder. "Where are you leaving? Tell me about Dad. Don't forget that I am his son too," his uncle Patric said. Archie didn't say anything, but his face was as cold as ice. His gaze sharpened at his uncle's hand. "What if you kidnapped our Grandpa and spread this rumor so that you could acquire the Turner Group?" Ryan said, making Archie so angry that he immediately grabbed Ryan's collar, gritting his teeth aggressively. Ryan deliberately tried to provoke him. "Stop this right now. I will find Grandpa by this evening. He will be here," Archie said, still holding Ryan's collar. "What if you don't?" Ryan smirked. "I will give up my position as CEO," Archie challenged him. Myra's brows raised. They hadn't been able to find Grandpa for a week; how could Archie find him within a few hours? Ryan triggered him and now succeeded in it. Out of aggression, Archie made such a rash decision about giving up his position. This is what Ryan wanted. Meanwhile, Celeste finished her day shift and stepped out of the club. It was much better than night as customers were few. It was tiring and much safer. Her friend Shasha was with her today. She was the one who helped Celeste get the rented room in her neighborhood. They both got into the subway. "What? You allowed a strange old man to stay in your house for a week? You are crazy," Shasha said, very surprised. After what had happened to Celeste and her brother last month, she was shocked to hear it. Celeste was forced to leave her previous home midnight with Jack, even though he was so sick. "Yes. I don't know how to ask him to leave. But since Jack became familiar with him, it's fine," Celeste held the groccery bag in her hand. It was too heavy that she kept changing it from one hand to another. "Alright. Just take care. See you tomorrow." Shasha waved and went to her apartment. Celeste's apartment was on the same road bu after few houses. She walked towards her house when she noticed a stout man wearing a cap standing in front of her; he was wearing a checkered shirt. Seeing him, Celeste turned nervous and immediately hid behind a garbage bin at the corner of the street. Her face turned pale, and her knees began shaking; it had not even been a month, and they found her again. The man was continuously talking on the phone and looking around the nearby apartments as if searching for her. "No boss, she's not here. Yes... One of our men just saw her here, in the countryside. I'm sure she must be living here." The man, still talking on the phone, got on his bike and left. Celeste came out, her face pale. She was very frightened, and as soon as she entered the house, she shut the door, wiped the beads of sweat from her forehead, and tried to calm herself. That person didn't find her, and that was good. She needed to be careful. She pulled the curtains of the window and suddenly heard laughter from inside the room. When she went in, she saw Jack and the old Grandpa playing chess. Celeste served them the food she had brought. She went and stood at the door, watching her brother happy. Jack was never seen this happy before. The cancer broke him so much that he became irritable and aggressive. But now he was happily laughing. "You take too much time. It's not fair," Jack told him. "There is no rule about time in chess," the old man said. He noticed Celeste standing at the door. "Oh Celeste, you came." Celeste smiled and put the food on the table. "Today I won't let Jack win. He has had enough wins, but not now. This is my last game today," the old Grandpa said, and Celeste was shocked to hear this. "What? Last game?" she asked. The old man nodded. "I have lived here more than a week. Now I should go back," he added, and Jack gave him a checkmate. He made a fake crying face, the way he used to do after every game. "But you said you have no family," Celeste added. He smiled. "Yeah! But I have a friend. I live with him. It was great to live with you both. We are not related by blood, but it feels like you guys are closest to my heart," the old man told her. She realized that he was a good person. The chess game was over, and the man was ready to leave. "Wait a minute," Celeste stopped him. He looked at her with a surprised gesture. She went into her kitchen and opened some boxes. Some dried fish, crab chips, and durable sweets. Celeste packed a bag full of something to eat. She came back and handed it to Grandpa Turner. "What is this?" he asked, staring at the old bag stitched at the corner. "It's for you and your friend. You might get hungry on your way," Celeste told him. Mr. Turner stared at her with a shocked gaze and left without saying anything. Meanwhile, one after another, police officers and ministers were visiting the Turner house. "It's already evening, and you still haven't found Grandpa. Now you have to fulfill your promise," Ryan said as he arrived. He brought a bunch of papers with his advocate. "Resign as CEO now," Ryan smirked. He already came with notary papers. Archie gritted his teeth again. "So you came here for this, not for Grandpa," Archie taunted Ryan, who already opened the cap of a pen and handed it to sign. Suddenly, a car stopped in front of the house, and they all rushed out. The car door opened, and Grandpa stepped out. All were surprised to see Grandpa there, in front of them. Ryan was upset. "Grandpa..." Archie rushed towards him. Ryan followed. "Where were you?" Archie asked, feeling relieved that Grandpa was fine. He wasn't well, but better than the state he left home. "I wanted to have some rest. I will talk to you later." Grandpa went to his room. He went inside and closed the door without any explanation. Everything seemed fine until the late evening when Archie knocked on his Grandpa's door to call him down for dinner. Despite knocking several times, Grandpa didn't open the door. Archie was shocked when Grandpa didn't respond, and he sensed something was wrong. When he broke open the door, he found his Grandpa lying on the floor. "Grandpa..." Archie screamed. He held him in his arms and rushed to the hospital. As soon as they reached Mankind Hospital, the team of doctors was ready to treat Grandpa. But when they checked him, their expressions turned to disappointment. One doctor, showing courage, approached Archie. "Sorry, Mr. Archie, your Grandpa is no more."
