I want to see you

Chapter 9 Three weeks later... It's been days since I resumed working at the restaurant, and I must say that I really enjoy working there, although it's kind of stressful. At least the pay is satisfactory, and the work gives me enough time to take care of my sister too. So that's fine by me. One of the twins happened to just be here the first day I resumed, but what baffled me was the fact that he pretended to have never met me before. I know he warned me not to show up at his house to thank him, but pretending not to know me that day wasn't really necessary. He even made me look like a fool when I tried to greet him. Wealthy people are indeed arrogant. I would've hated him by now, if not that he was nice to me and helped me. At least it was enough to convince me that he has an atom of good in him. It's Monday today, and the restaurant is going to be pretty rowdy as it has always been like that on Mondays. After I'm done getting dressed, I finally pick up my small handbag from the mat and fling it over my shoulder, striding out of the room afterward, not after picking up the food flask where Ollie's breakfast is already served in. It's already 6:10am by the time I arrive at the hospital, and I make sure she eat her food before I finally take a cab to the restaurant. As expected, the restaurant is already filled up with people by the time I arrive, but I'm more than excited that I'm not late. I start my usual routine of cleaning the the counter and the glasses that was used the previous day and were already washed. My work is stressful, but who am I to complain? I mean, I have spent so many years searching for job, and complaining about the one I got is the last thing on my mind. "Hey! Nadia, egg and bacon to table 105," My colleague, Bethel yells from afar, and I drop the towel, going to take the order. "Coming," I yell back as I quickly arrange the food on the tray, and take it to the table, but another voice interrupts me just before I get to the table. "Chicken lap and stew. Fast! I'm running late for work," An angry female voice sounds from behind me. "Coffee, please," Another voice snaps at me again, and I just feel like crying. For goodness sake, it's just me alone, can they give me a break, please? Rushing over to table 105, I quickly drop the tray carefully on the table. "Here's your order, Sir," I say to the person politely, as I drop the tray on the table. I bow slightly before rushing back to attend to other customers that are already on my neck and cursing at me. I don't think my life will ever get any better. After serving the customers for almost forever I finally drag my feet back to the counter to rest and maybe gain the energy I just lost. "Nadia, your attention is needed here!" Bethel's voice comes on even before my butt can touch the chair, and I can help huffing. What the heck! Can't I at least have a rest now, huh? Letting out a groan, I stand up sluggishly and leave the counter to go meet her where she's serving at a table. "He wants to see you," She says to me, pointing behind me. Trailing her hand to where she's pointing at, my eyes almost pop out of their sockets as they land on one of the twins. He was the same man I went to serve at table 105 earlier. How come I didn't notice that? And wait, why would he want to see me? The last time he was here, he acted as though we never met before, right? "You called me, Sir," I speak to him politely after I walk up to him. His gaze is all over his phone, and he act as though I didn't just talk to him. "Sit!" He finally speaks up for the first time, raising his gaze to look at me. For the first time, I finally get to see his eyes, and I must confess that they're so cute with sparkles. He has thick eyebrows and a pointed nose. His lips are so cute that I can't help drooling at them, and his hair? Wow! He's super gorgeous. Gulping down the sudden lump that formed in my throat, I manage to sit on the empty chair across from him, as I wait patiently for him to say why he had called me. I watch as he stares at the screen of his phone, and I can't help wondering what he's so engrossed in. Now that I think of it, I'm starting to get nervous. What if he called me to take back the money he gave me? Where will I get that money from? I'll be doomed forever if that's why he's here, so it better not. After what seem like forever, he finally raises his head from his phone to look at me, and my heart sink into my stomach. Seeing the unreadable expression on his face makes me more nervous and curious. "Here's my card... I want to see you in my house by weekend. Call me when you're coming," My eyes almost pops out of their sockets as I stare at him in confusion. Isn't this the same guy that asked me not to show up at his house? How come he's asking me there all of a sudden now? I still take the card from him anyway. I watch as he stands up to his feet, and without sparing me another glance, he stride out of the restaurant... Trevor Bradford It's finally Saturday, and I'm expecting that girl here today. After my usual morning workout with Travis, we decide to go swim for a while. Having a good time alone in the swimming pool, Travis voice suddenly pulls my attention, and I tilt my head to see him talking to someone, but I have no idea who the person is. "Who's that, Travis?" Climbing the stairs out of the pool, I walk over to the sunlounger and pick up my towel to clean the water off my skin. I take my time to mop my skin carefully, making sure not to hurt myself while doing it. I love my skin a lot, and keeping it beautiful and glowing is my priority. I mean, what do you expect? That's what attracts girls to me, you know? Finally turning my attention to Travis, I finally get to see the face of the person he was speaking with. It's Nadia, but she's not alone. Another girl of about eighteen or nineteen years old is standing beside her. And damn, she's so sexy. Travis glance at me with a questioning and confused expression on his face, but I ignore him and turn my attention to Nadia instead. "What are you doing here?" He finally asks as he turns his attention to them. She only stares at us confusingly. I don't blame her for the expression. She must've mistook me for Travis all along. I did a good job pretending to be my annoying brother, anyway. "I invited her," I reply him, and he snap his head to look at me. He has an angry expression on his face, but too bad that I don't give a damn about that...
