Chapter 6

2055 Words
Crystal Everyone was still gone when I woke up. I walked to my room and saw a bag with some of my books, charger and my favorite sweater which was Lucas’. I knew Lucas was here, but it was weird he didn’t wake me up. I decided to walk around and see if I could find the guys. Eventually I heard noises coming from Mason’s office. I went to knock when I heard yelling. It was muffled so I couldn’t make out what they were saying. I wasn’t sure if I should just wait for them. I decided to knock. The shouting stopped and the door opened wide. “Hey babe!” Aiden wrapped his arms around me, pulling me into a tight hug. I giggled and accepted his hug. Placing my arms around him. “i***t” I heard all the guys say together. “Don’t hate on our love!” Aiden shouted, trying to sound offended. I saw Lucas over Aidens shoulder. “Lucas!” I jumped at him, wrapping my arms around his neck “I missed you” “I missed you too” burying his face in my neck “how is your cut?” He set me back down on my feet. “Healing” I shrugged. “How long are you staying for?” “Trying to get rid of me so fast?” He smirked. “No! I just don’t want you to get in trouble” “I have a couple of hours” Mason walked around his desk, slipping his hand to the small of my back, gently rubbing circles. “Are you hungry?” “A little” I blushed as he cupped my cheek. “Let’s go get you some food” He led me out of the office. I turned back, wondering why no one was following us. “Are you guys coming?” “I’ll follow you anywhere babe” Aiden ran towards me, grabbing my hand and pulled me quickly away from Mason. We were sprinting down the hall. Leaving everyone behind us. When they realized what happened they began running right after us. “Do you always have fans chasing you?” I laughed as we ran, still holding hands. “What can I say? They just can’t get enough of me” he winked. I felt a pair of arms wrap around my waist, pulling me into a hard chest. Mason smiled as he whispered in my ear, sending chills down my spine. “Caught you princess” Turning on my heel I smiled up at him as he picked me up bridal style and carried me the rest of the way to the kitchen. Setting me down on the counter he passed me some grapes and started getting out some pans. Lucas leaned on the counter next to me while everyone else took a seat on the bar stools. “What are you making?” “You’ll see” I smiled and turned around on the counter to look at the boys. Tossing a grape in my mouth. “What did you do yesterday?” Pulling Lucas over so he was standing behind me and rested on his chest. Everyone got suspiciously quiet. “I stayed at home. You know how my mom gets if something doesn’t go as planned” “I know” My arms wrapped around myself. I heard a bowl being set down next to me. Lucas was moved and I felt a pair of arms wrap around me pulling me tightly into him. I relaxed, never feeling so safe in someone's arms. I wish I never had to leave. Giving me one last squeeze he kissed the top of my head and went back to cooking. “What did you do last night?” Lucas asked, grabbing a grape and tossing it in the air, catching it in his mouth. Show off, I thought to myself. “Not much. I didn’t have my books to read so we watched T.V” He smiled and ate a couple more grapes. I stared at the grape I had in my hand. “I also talked to Benny” “Benny” realization struck him. “Who’s Benny?” Eithan asked. “No one,” Lucas answered fast. I looked at Lucas and answered just as quickly as he did with anger rising in me. “He is my uncle” I got off the counter glaring at Lucas. He was about to say something when Mason started to set plates in front of all of us. I continued to glare at Lucas. Mason put his hand on my lower back leading me to a bar stool next to Aiden. Omelets were placed on all of our plates. I looked away when I smelled the delicious food on my plate. “Thank you” Taking my first bite, Mason smiled, adding some avocado to the side of my plate. I was about to take another bite when Mason leaned in and took the bite I had just placed on my fork. Blushing, I continued to eat. “Any big plans for the day?” I heard Josh ask, but no one said anything. I realized everyone was waiting for me to answer. “Oh, sorry, I don’t have anything planned for the weekend” “Really? Why not?” “I mostly just sit at home and read” “Well if you have nothing to do we’re going to a party tonight if you’d like to come” “She needs to rest,” Mason shot a glare at him. “Maybe she wants to live a little” They stared at each other in silence. Like they were having a conversation no one else could hear. “I’ve never been to a party before” “Then it’s decided” Josh, smirked at Mason like he won an argument. “But I’m still pretty sore. I can barely get dressed on my own” “Don’t worry babe. I’ll help you get undressed” Aiden pulled my head into his chest. “She said getting dressed” Sam tossed a piece of egg at him. “I’ll get to that part later” he winked at me. Andrew smacked him in the back of the head as he walked by to put his plate in the sink. “i***t” everyone said all at once. “You know, you guys are going to hurt one of my feelings someday” “Don’t worry. I’ll still be here with you” I leaned into him and laughed. The look on his face was priceless. Mason wrapped his arm around my waist and pulled me away and into his lap. “That’s enough of that you two” He put me over his shoulder and headed for the door. I looked back at everyone and Aiden’s smile grew. “Wait for me my love” he said dramatically as he reached his arm out to me. “They’ll never be able to keep us apart forever” I reached back for him. “You two are horrible together!” Mason shouted, causing Aiden and I both to burst out laughing. I heard Aiden Yelp and the boys saying “i***t” as we continued to make our way into the hall. “You know if you two keep acting like that I’m gonna get jealous” “You should be jealous. What we share is true love” I giggled. “Oh yeah?” “Yes. I am completely, head over heels in-“ I was interrupted by Mason swatting my butt. I yelped. “What was that for?” Moving my hand to my butt to protect it from any more swats. “For having eyes for another man” I felt him trying to hold back his laughter as he set me down. I was heading for the couch when he stopped me, placing his hands on my hips, turning me towards my room. I let him guide me to my room. Walking to the bed, he grabbed the bag Lucas brought and started to put things away. I crawled into bed, getting under the covers. “What are these books about?” Placing them on the nightstand. “Those are twisted fairytales” “Why twisted fairytales? Seems a little dark” “They feel more relatable than the normal Disney ones” “How are they more relatable?” I looked down and felt the bed dip as he scooted next to me. “Because life doesn’t always have happy endings” He got under the covers, pulling me into his lap. I felt him nuzzle his face in my hair. Placing his hand under my chin and turning me towards him. “Your story’s not over yet princess” I was trapped in his icy blue gaze. I saw his eyes move from my eyes to my lips. I leaned closer, But just as we were about to kiss, my door burst open. Mason let out a loud groan. “Hands off my woman!” Aiden shouted as he jumped in the bed, wrapping himself around me like a velcro monkey. I giggled at him, placing one hand on his arm wrapped around me, as everyone else came into my room and laid down or sat on the bed with us. I felt Mason’s fingers intertwined with mine. I looked up and into his sparkling blue eyes. As we stared at each other I felt my heart begin to race. What was happening to me?.. Mason I was really annoyed with everyone today. Josh kept trying to get me to go to the party and even tried to talk Crystal into going. I don’t know he’s thinking, but getting Crystal involved is not the way to go about it. Everyone knows Crystal’s name now and come Monday they’ll all know she is mine. Aiden was just flirting with her to piss me off and it was working, but he made her laugh and smile. God that smile did things to me. As long as she is okay with it I’ll let it slide… for now. I couldn’t help but stare at her when she laughed at all of his nonsense. The only problem was that it wasn’t just me staring. Everyone else was doing the same. I tried to get her alone so she could rest and I could enjoy the weekend with her, but luck was not on my side. After breakfast everyone followed us into her room. Aiden pulled her away from me again leaving me feeling cold. I was getting pissed now, but she was happy and I wasn’t going to be the one to take that happiness away from her. We settled on a movie while Crystal nodded off ten minutes into it. Eventually one by one we all began to fall asleep. I lifted her hand to my lips placing a soft kiss before I fell asleep with everyone else. I woke up to a pair of gray eyes looking into mine. She began to blush. I smiled and pulled her on top of me. I raised my head and noticed everyone was still asleep. “What time is it?” I looked at my watch. It was already 3:30pm. “Where did the day go?” I chuckled as I stretched a little. We laid together watching whatever show came on after the movie. Even with the guys in the room it was peaceful. I was trying to figure out the best way to ask her to stay with me. I didn’t want her to feel pressured or think she didn’t have a choice. I just got her back and I don’t want her to leave just yet. “What do you want to do for the rest of the day? I asked rubbing her back. “I’m not sure. What are your plans?” “Whatever you want princess” “You’re not going to the party?” She looked up, disappointment in her eyes. “And leave you alone? No way. You leave tomorrow and I want to spend this weekend with you. That is… Unless you want to stay longer”
