Chapter 19: The Plan

Auntie Herma carefully inserted the golden hairpin into Kira’s hair and smiled. Her lady is already a full-grown beautiful woman. With her reddish hair tied up in a ponytail, with its loose ends curled elegantly, she looked like an enchanting goddess.

“Lady Kira really looks extremely good in this outfit.” Bariston smiled as he looked, but then said with some hesitation, “But Lady Kira, the people in the examination will be utterly surprised by this appearance of yours.”

“It’s fine, Bariston… That’s what I wanted them to feel.” she smiled at her reflection in the mirror and continued, “After this day, we will be able to leave this palace.”

Auntie Herma was confused about what she said. ‘Leave? Are they leaving? But why?’ No matter how curious she was, she didn’t voice it out and just trusted her lady.

If she said they were leaving, then she would follow her without any questions. Even if her lady took her to the depths of hell, she would surely follow.

‘Master! Someone’s coming!’ Althea spoke inside her mind. Kira raised the corner of her lips and cracked a wicked but charming smile.

Her voice was so calm that people would shiver at her words. " My special guests have already arrived.”

She had been waiting for them to come and, finally, the moment she had been waiting for had come.

Bariston glanced at the calm Kira and understood the meaning. He glanced coldly at the closed door, “What are your orders, Lady Kira?”

The girl slightly narrowed her eyes. “Bring Auntie Herma with you outside. Don’t come out unless I tell you so. I will go out myself"

She walked back to her bed and sat down elegantly before covering half of her body with the silk blanket. “Oh, before anything else, stay far away from my room as much as possible, understood? I’ll meet you downstairs.”

When both Bariston and Auntie Herma nodded, she lazily stretched herself and dimmed the lights inside the room. It’s so dark inside that not even a single shadow can be seen.

Kira leaned against the backrest of the bed and said with a faint smile on her face, “How extreme is the incense you created, Althea?”

“It’s very strong Master. No matter how tired they are, they won’t be able to stop the desire in their body and will keep going and going.” She smiled maliciously. The wickedness on her face wholly contrasted with her childlike face.

“So, Master, before you light the incense stick, remember to release a lotus flower with you and continue smelling its fragrance,” she added as a warning.

Kira nodded in agreement.

Just then, her doors opened slowly. In the dark room, Morgana and Franz's footsteps were somewhat rushed as they pushed open the door.

“Are you sure that Lady Kira is here?… The room is so dark, it looks like no one was inside.” Franz asked in a whisper.

Looking at him, Morgana was disappointed, “Are you stupid? Why should I bring you here if I know that she wasn’t around?” she looked around, trying to see where the bed was located.

The plan was very simple. She would let everyone know that Kira was having an indecent affair with Franz. Franz agreed to their plan since it would make him gain power once he married Kira.

Although she was useless trash, she was still a princess after all. So, with this little bit of sacrifice, Franz was willing to trade for the fame, wealth, and power he would gain after.

Just then, a smell of burning incense swept through their nostrils. Morgana and Franz felt something was wrong with their bodies. It’s like their bodies were feeling hot all of a sudden and their minds were being clouded.

Not long after that, sounds of moaning could be heard from the room. Those sounds disrupted the quiet silence and resonated throughout the skies.

Kira smiled in triumph. The lotus flower was floating on her palm, releasing a sweet fragrance that shielded her from the smell of the incense stick. It was an aphrodisiac.

She didn’t feel any embarrassment at the scene in front of her. It’s not because she is used to it, but because of her experiences in the past. These worldly affairs are not enough to make her blush.

Since they wanted her to lose her reputation and marry that despicable man, then she would return the favor to them.

Kira walked out of her room and let those two have fun for now. She left the lights off so that they could enjoy the thrill for themselves. And besides, no one can hear whatever they were doing inside, since her room is soundproof.

So, no matter how loud their moans were, no one could hear them outside. By the time they are discovered, they might be really close to death’s door because of too much exhaustion.

Bariston and Auntie Herma were waiting for her near the backdoor of the palace. Auntie Herma was anxiously waiting. She didn’t know what Lady Kira was planning.

Her gut was telling her that something had happened. That’s why they were ordered to leave the room immediately. She wanted to know what exactly was happening but Bariston wouldn’t tell her anything.

“Bariston, we should go and check, Lady Kira… What if she needs our help? And the examination, it’s already starting at this moment. What if Lady Kira won’t be able to make it because something has happened right now?”

Before Bariston could speak, a goddess in a red dress appeared. She walked slowly and poised, completely serene.

As soon as Auntie Herma saw her lady, she finally sighed in relief. “Lady Kira, I thought something had happened to you!… What took you so long to come here? I was about to go back there if not for Bariston stopping me.”

Kira smiled and held Auntie Herma’s hand warmly, “I’m okay Auntie Herma. Stop worrying.”

“Let’s go, Bariston… The show is about to start.” Kira turned to Auntie Herma and left something, “Auntie Herma, I want you to guard my room. Make sure that no one comes inside when I’m gone.”

“Understood Lady Kira.” Auntie Herma immediately agreed.

Just then, Kira gave her a lotus flower. “Guard outside the room. Don’t go inside. And as much as possible, keep this flower close to you. I will be back Auntie Herma.”

Although her lady’s actions were strange, she nodded with certainty. If her lady said she was not allowed to enter, then she would not disobey it. There must be a reason behind her actions.

With Bariston accompanying her, Kira stepped out of the palace. The Heavenly Pavilion is not that far from where the palace is.

After a few moments, they managed to see the Pavilion. The Heavenly Pavilion was pruned and covered with several magnificent buildings. There’s a mountain on one side and water on the other. It was indeed a good place to enjoy the scenery.

Flowers are blooming beautifully on the side of the fully tiled road, which made the Pavilion look even more elegant.

There were already several people who had arrived at the Heavenly Pavilion. Most of them came from noble families. At the top portion of the Pavilion, a magnificent gold chair was placed, specially reserved for Rouguemont’s Castle’s Alpha.

The examination doesn’t differentiate males from females. They can compete with whoever they want as long as it is within the rules. Aside from the examination, the other purpose of this event is to build connections.

That’s why a lot of people wanted to attend it. They can form alliances, business partnerships, and even marriage alliances. As they keep on saying, having more friends is always beneficial to one's greed.

Valerie was elegantly sitting in one corner with Dave behind her. It’s been a long time but she hasn’t seen Morgana yet. “Dave, any news from Morgana?”

“Not yet, Lady Kira… Shall I go and find her?” Dave answered with full respect.

Valerie’s mouth twitched, “Go! Find her immediately… I’m getting a bad feeling about this. Investigate what’s delaying her from coming here.”

Morgana should have already arrived at the venue a long time ago. That’s why she was getting anxious after not seeing her. What’s causing her delay?!

Just right after Dave left, she heard someone speaking. “Is that Lady Kira Kholins?!”
