AFTER TWO MORE DAYS AT ISABELLA'S POV: Today was the merchant market. It was one of the ways I knew that in the novel you can get rare animal. The problem was it's happening in the middle of the day, so I will have to find a way to see it. It's not going to be easy, but I got used to leaving the castle unnoticed, so I do what I have to do for my freedom. At the right time I made my way through the bustling evening market, the sounds of vendors hawking their goods filling the air. The stall I was looking for wasn’t far, and as I approached it, I spotted the cages filled with small, colorful birds. "Evening, miss. Looking for something special tonight?"An older man asked. "Yes."I replied. "I’m interested in buying a bird. Something small and easy to care for." He nodded, his eyes twinkling as he gestured toward the cages. "Those are lively little creatures, but they don’t need much. Just a bit of seed, some water, and they’ll sing all day."He said. I leaned in, pretending to study the birds carefully, though my mind was racing. I needed to make this convincing, something to throw off anyone who might be watching or following. "This one." I said, pointing to a bright white bird that fluttered its wings as I spoke. "It’s perfect." "Ah, a good choice." The seller said, expertly opening the cage and gently capturing the bird in his hands. He transferred it to a smaller cage and handed it to me. "That’ll be ten silver pieces, miss." I reached into my pouch and counted out the coins, my fingers trembling slightly as I handed them over. "Thank you." I said, taking the small cage from him. The seller nodded, his smile never faltering. “Pleasure doing business with you. Take good care of that little one. They’re more than just pets, they’re companions." He said. "I will."I said. With the birdcage in hand, I made my way back through the market, deliberately choosing a less direct route back to the castle. I needed to make sure I wasn’t being followed. I took the bird to my room and smiled in relief. "I am going to name you Filo,"I said. As soon as I said I saw how the bird flipped its wings and I smiled. It was quite adorable. AT THE SAME TIME AT NOAH'S POV: As the darkness settled over the castle, I returned quietly, slipping in through one of the castle entrances as Michael. Isabella was already inside, and I knew she had something or rather, someone with her. I had followed her to the market, watched as she bought that little white bird, and now I wanted to know why. What was she really up to? I was a bit allergic to feathers so I kinda got idea why she done it. The castle was familiar terrain for me, and it was easy to avoid detection. I spotted her ahead, walking with the small birdcage tucked under her arm, her steps light and careful as if she didn’t want to draw attention to herself. She paused shortly, glancing around as if sensing someone nearby. I froze, holding my breath, but she continued on, slipping into her room without noticing me. I knocked lightly, not giving her time to react before pushing the door open. "Isabella." I said, stepping inside. She turned, startled, the birdcage still in her hand. "Noah?"She stuttered, clearly not expecting me. Her eyes widened, and she instinctively tried to hide the cage behind her back. "What are you doing here?"She asked. “I could ask you the same thing." I replied, shutting the door behind me. My gaze turned to the birdcage she was trying to conceal. "What’s with the bird? You’re not exactly the type to keep a pet for company."I said. She hesitated, her eyes darting around the room as if searching for an escape. "It’s just... something to keep me occupied. A little distraction, that’s all."She said. I raised an eyebrow, stepping closer. "A distraction? From what?"I asked."You know I have bird allergy." She bit her lip, clearly struggling to come up with an answer. "From... from being in this castle all the time. I thought it would be nice to have something to take care of."She said nervously. There was more to this than she was letting on, and the way she was trying to escape my questions only made me more suspicious. "Isabella why are you really sneaking around with that bird? What are you hiding?"I asked. "I’m not hiding anything, Noah. Why do you always assume I have some secret motive?"She asked. "Because you’ve been acting strange ever since you got here, and now you’re sneaking out to the market at night and bringing back a bird? It doesn’t add up."I said. "I promise it's nothing."She said. I narrowed my eyes, not backing down. "I’m not buying it. There’s something else going on, and I’m going to find out what it is."I said. I turned around and left the room. If she wants a bird she can keep it, but making my allergy worse is not going to make me leave her. I not going to give up on her for such a stupid reason. She needs to understand that she is my fiance and nothing in the whole damn world not going to make me leave her. I don't care how weird she is acting, she will stay with me no matter what.
