After I showered and borrowed something to wear from Mina we went and ate dinner. Everyone introduced themselves to me. I could tell that they were uncomfortable having an outsider but they didn’t say anything. Everyone was nice except for a couple of the women, I understood why Mina didn’t get along with them they were b*tches.

“So where are you from?” One of the men asked.

“Stansville.”

“That’s close by so why are you here?” I looked at Rafe not sure how he wanted me to answer.

“That’s enough questions. She's a part of the pack there’s nothing else to discuss.”

“Well I don’t think we should trust her she basically came from out of no where.” B*tch one said and her friend agreed.

“For all we know she could kill us in our sleep or could be setting us up.”

“That’s enough! Are you challenging me?”

“No Alpha.” The rest of dinner was filled with small talk.

After I finished I went to the room I was staying in to freshen up. When I came out Mina was sitting on the bed.

“Is everything ok?” I asked.

“Yeah do you want to watch a movie?”

“Sure no romance movie. Where's Rafe?”

“He's in his office doing whatever it is that he does.”

“If you don’t mind me asking how is Rafe an Alpha and a rogue?”

“He was next in line to be Alpha at our old pack. His brother challenged him and lost. He got angry and came back and killed the pack only me and a few others survived. He didn’t want to stay there with all of those memories so we left.” She answered.

"Wow that’s sad, why didn’t he go to the elders and tell them that he was starting a new pack?”

“It's easier this way, his brother wont stop until he's dead.”

We were watching TV laughing and joking having a good time when Rafe burst in the door.

“Whats going on?” I asked.

“There are wolves searching around this area and from the scent we can tell that they are powerful wolves.”

“Sh*t!” My eyes widened. “How the hell did they find me?”

We went to the living room and everyone else was running around gathering what they could.

“See I told you she was trouble.”

"Shut up you don’t know a thing!” Mina said.

“We have to get out of here!”

“Who are they?”

“They’re Addie's mates. She ran away from them and they want her back.”

We were running for about an hour when we decided to rest. We sat by a stream and got something to drink. The bags were heavy, why they didn’t have a car was a mystery to me.

“So where are we headed?”

“Don’t tell her this is her fault!”

"We're headed West, there’s neutral territory a couple of hours away. We will blend in good there, no one will suspect a thing because that’s where a lot of rogues reside.”

After about ten minutes my wolf started to feel antsy. I had a feeling something was about to happen.

“Rafe I think we should go. I think they are near us my wolf is on edge.”

“Everyone gather your things.” We shifted but I was tackled to the ground as soon as we started to run.

"Shift back!” I shook my head no.

“Shift back now!” He ordered in his Alpha tone, that jerk I had no choice. I shifted back and my brother threw me shirt, I put it on and moved away from Damon.

"How did you find me?”

“That’s none of your concern, let's go.”

“No I’m not coming back. I’m tired of you I need a break and I’ve found a new pack.” He laughed, I mean really laughed.

“You have no choice. I wont let you go with these filthy rogues now come on you’ve caused enough trouble.”

"I said no!” He growled.

“Damien.” I said pleading with my eyes.

“You shouldn’t have jumped. Do you know how it feels to see your mate die? We jumped in after you, everyday we went through hell because we didn’t know if you were OK. I cant let you go Joy you have to come back home.”

“My home is with them now.”

“Joy... Don’t do this the hard way lets go.” He said grabbing my arm. I fought with him and Mina ran to my side.

“Let her go, can't you see doesn’t want to go with you.”

“Stand down rogue!” Rafe growled and started towards Damon but one of the guards stopped him.

“Let him go!” I yelled. Damon looked at me and smirked.

“We wont kill them if you come home.” I looked at Rafe and Mina, I couldn’t do that to them they took care of me and treated me nice when I needed them.

“You cant do that” Mina said.

“We can do anything we want, we're the Kings and you’re rogues. We can lock you up or kill you so don’t interrupt me again.” Damon said while glaring at her.

Rafe growled again. “Stand down pup.” Damon said. I could see Rafe trying control himself if he shifted there was no doubt that they would kill him.

“Tick tock babe.”

“OK have it your way! Kill them.”

“No I’ll come just let them leave.”

“Wise choice.” I turned and hugged Mina then Rafe.

“Thanks for taking me in, even if it was for a few days.”

“No problem.”

“You’ve shown me that not all rogues are bad, take care of yourselves.” I said.

“If you ever need anything come find me at the castle. With these two I will probably never succeed in getting away.”

“Let them through.” Damien said to the guards. With one last look they shifted and ran. I turned and glared at Damon.

“I hate you! I will never talk to neither one of you again.”

“That’s fine as long as we know you’re safe.”

When we got back to the castle Faith and Rebecca ran to me looking worried. “Are you OK? Are you hurt? We were so worried don’t ever do anything like that again.” I nodded my head.

"I’m tired I’m going to rest.” I said.

Princess! I gasped. I’m so selfish how could I forget about her she's been there for me through everything. “I'm sooo sorry baby.”

3 days later

Stupid mating bond! Stupid Kings! I growled while throwing things in the room. I sat in the middle of the room on the floor hugging Princess. She always made me feel better. I tried running away again yesterday but didn't make it out of the room, that freaking Damon had guards posted outside the door. If I wanted to go anywhere they would be right there following me.

“Knock knock Joy may I come in?”

“Yes, hi Mrs Tucker.”

“How many times do I have to tell you to call me Rebecca? Now I've come to take you to try on your dress.” I rolled my eyes not this again.

“I don't need a dress because in not getting married.” I told her for the thousandth time.

“Honey please, they’ve dreamed of this day for 57 years. They love you. I know that you guys are having problems but please don't break their hearts.”

“Everyone seems to forget about my heart. All you guys care about is your precious Kings! I've tried, I really have. I was banished from my own kind and treated like trash then marked without my consent and then humiliated. Do you know how it feels to have your soul mates choose someone else over you it hurts.”

I wiped my face. Everyone is always so concerned about them. No one cares what I've been through.

“I know, I've been going through it for 71 years. I was mated and married to Lazarus at the age of 18. Do you know how hard it is to love someone who doesn't love you back? At least my sons love you. I was a business deal, my only purpose was to give Lazarus his heirs because his real mate died. I fell in love with someone who hates me. He never even gave me a chance, to everyone else we're a happy couple but behind closed doors we are strangers.

I know what they did was wrong. Damon cant help it he's always been that way since he was little. His father pushed him hard to become like him that's why they don't get along. He taught him that love is for weak minded people and that people wouldn’t respect him as a King. Being the eldest makes him feel like he has to protect everyone.

Damien, he's a sweetheart. He rarely loses his temper, he's the more level headed one. I know they will find a way to fix this, I've always wanted a daughter its always been me and all men. No one would really befriend me because they are afraid of Lazarus.”

We heard a commotion and ran towards the source. What the hell is going on now! When we got to the living room Damon and Damien were fighting two other boys. I gasped they were really going at it.

“What is the meaning of this?” Rebecca yelled. All four of them stopped and looked up.

“OMG!” Rebecca gasped.

“Mom please don't cry.”

“My babies you're home.”

“Mom we've only been gone for a year.”

“A year too long” She cried. OK I was completely lost. She hugged and kissed them and they groaned. They finally noticed me standing there and began to smirk.

“Well hello there, who's the hottie?” Damon growled.

“Don't speak about my mate like that.”

“Ahh so you're the famous Joy.” He said while kissing my hand.

“Ouch!” He said. Damon smacked him over the head.

“What was that for?”

“Don't touch her.”

“I'm Landon by the way.”

“Nice to meet you.”

“And I’m Logan, way to go bros she's smoking.” My face heated up at all of the attention.

“We're their younger more sexy twin brothers.” I giggled they sure knew how to make Damon mad.

Looking at them I could tell the resemblance. They were around 6 2 with midnight hair and bright blue eyes. Telling them apart was easy Landon had dimples and Logan didn't.

“So did you find her?” Rebecca asked.

They sighed. “No.”

“Maybe you'll find her at the wedding.” I bit my tongue, boy was she determined to have a wedding.

“You agreed to marry these idiots!” He felt my head.

“Are you feeling alright?” Logan joked. I laughed and Damon growled.

“I’m still thinking it over.” I said.

“I have a solution.. How about you ditch these losers and marry me and Logan. We'll make you happy, its obvious that you’re attracted to us. I mean who could blame you look at us.” Rebecca slapped his head.

“Shut up Landon and stop hitting on your sister in law! I'm starting to believe that you guys spent the year whoring around instead of looking for your mate.”

“Mom.. language.” Logan gasped. I giggled again this was most that I've laughed in years. I felt sorry for their mate they were a handful.

“Now that I have all of my babies lets have a family dinner.. I don’t want a repeat of the last time but I feel like I owe Juliet an apology so make sure she's there.” I nodded my head and went to get dressed.

“Are you sure? I don't want a repeat of the last time”

“Yes it's fine I already discussed it with everyone.”

“OK.” She said.

“So how have you been the past few days?” She started to cry.

“Juliet whats wrong?”

“He did it! He finally did it!”

“Who did what?”

"He rejected me, my mate rejected me. After all of these years. He says that he cant be with a maid. He needs someone with a higher ranking.”

“Oh Juliet! I’m so sorry, he's a jerk you’ll find someone better and when you do throw it in his face and make sure that I’m there.” She smiled.

“Thanks.” I could tell that she was still sad. It probably was going to take years for her to get over him.

“Now go clean yourself up. We can feel better by stuffing our faces.”

We all sat around the table me and Juliet was talking when all of a sudden we heard growling.

“Mine!” Logan and Landon said at the same time. Juliet gasped then blushed.

“What's going on?” Rebecca asked.

“She's our mate.”

“Who?”

“Juliet!”

"Over my dead body! This w***e already weaseled her way into the family through your brothers! There's no way that I'm letting this filth do the same.” Juliet began to cry. I was about to say something but before I could Logan beat me to it.

“You will not speak to my mate that way got it old man.”

“Who the hell do you think you are? I think its time that I reminded all of you whose the boss here.” In a flash he had Juliet by the neck with her feet dangling in the air.

Landon growled. “Let her go dad! I will kill you!” Lazarus claws extended.

“I'm going to enjoy this!” Before he could do anything I hit him over the head with a vase. He growled and dropped Juliet.

“You b***h! I've been waiting to do this.”

My eyes widened preparing for the blow this time no one was fast enough to stop him. I felt his claws tearing through my skin and let me tell you it hurt like a b*tch.

Damien and Damon ran to my side with a worried expression on their face.

“Joy.”

“It burns.” I cried.

“I know baby, stay calm we're going to get you to the doctor just stay awake and don't talk.”

“Some family dinner.” I joked before passing out.
