Emily’s POV
I woke up a star and to the ringing of my phone non-stop.
My hands wandered to were Jack was lying on the other side of the bed and shook him vigorously “Make it stop,”.
Jack stirred and reached for the phone on the side of the lampstand turning it off.
“You need to check if it’s important, the phone has been ringing non-stop for the last two hours,”.
I sat up stifling a yawn behind my hand and rubbing my sleep-laden eyes “Please pass me the phone,” I motioned to Jack.
I unlocked the phone and noticed with dismay that I had more than 50 missed calls. Amy had called and some others. Without thinking I dialled Amy’s number first.
