Chapter 53, part 1

Zion Xavier Pov:

"They both look so cute together, looking like a match made in heaven “, Casey said with a dreamy look in her eyes in the last, making my patience levels to drop by several degrees, in an instant.

“don’t you dare, Casey. Don’t you dare poke your nose in my matter”, I warned her, and tried my very best, to not to yell at her, for her stupid behavior.

“when did Aurora became your matter?. Don’t kid around here, Zion. Just because, she lives in your pack, does not mean that you have the right to say, in everything that would happen in her life. So, shut up, You bossy Alpha. I should go, and plan that dinner date well”, saying that, Casey stood up from her spot, and went to open the door of the office room.

“She became my matter, when I first laid my eyes on her. I have every damn right to say in anything, or everything, and every single little thing that happens in her life. She is MINE!!. AURORA IS MY MATE!!!!!”, I yelled at Casey, who only grinned from ear to ear, instead of being shocked, making me to frown in confusion.

“Well… . I knew it…I KNEW IT!!!!..Thank the moon goddess”, Casey said, and sat on her mate, Clint’s lap, with a victorious smile on her face.

I moved away from the office desk in the room, and looked at the vast green forest, out of the window in my private office.

Flashback:

On the day Zion brought back Aurora to the Night Howlers Pack.

Zion’s first meeting with Aurora.… ..

Suddenly the wind from the opposite direction blew across me, making my paws to stop running, and made me come to a still in my tracks.

I suddenly stopped still in my tracks, not because of the cool wind of the night, but because of the soothing, and attractive tones of breath stealing scent that was mixed with the night wind.

The very next minute, as if I did not get a good catch of that delicious scent already, a heavy wind blew over again carrying that similar, yet unfamiliar scent, which made me to breathe in them as much as I want, and made me to shiver in pure delight.

Due to the intensity of that strong wind, I was able to catch on to the alluring divine smell that was mixed together in the wind, which eventually made me to lose my footing, for a second.

I took in a deep breath, and held my breath for a few seconds, trying to savor the scent as long as I can, and imprinting that delicious scent, deep into my mind.

It was the most intoxicating scent, that I had ever smelled in my entire life. The delicious scent that made me lose my mind over it, was the combination of the lavender, with a hint of vanilla added to it in small doses, making it the alluring scent it was.

I just stood there, not knowing what to do for a minute, as my mind went blank for a second, as I stood rooted to my spot, unable to move my legs an inch further.

I was hell shocked, as I think I knew very well deep inside of my heart, as to what that intoxicated scent was, or more like the person to whom, that intoxicated scent might be belong to.

And as if to double confirm my suspicion further, my inner wolf started behaving weird, like running around in circles in my mind (mentally), and wagging his wolf tail in a repeated way, and howling in delight. His deep, and long howl can tell others, how much happy he was.

I could feel his change in mood, and feel how happy or more like how excited my inner wolf was right now, through the bond we share in between us.

His overexcited, and pure happiness, was kind of overwhelming to me.

Then all of a sudden, he said the one word, that I had never expected to hear in this moment, that too in a repeated mode, making my heart to beat very fast, in anxiousness.

“Mate…Mate.. MATE!!!!. Our mate, Zion… our mate is near us, Zion… finally… .. . We found OUR MATE!!! “, my inner wolf almost screamed in my mind, in happiness. He just ran around in circles, and howled in pure joy.

But I was too shocked, and surprised to say the least, as I had never expected to find my mate, right at this moment.

But before I could take a step in forward, I took a deep breath, and sniffed around again, to try to catch the intoxicating scent, that I had caught in the wind, so that I can get a hint of that scent to follow it, to find it’s source.

The next second, the wind blew across me strongly, making me to clearly catch on to the scent, which I was trying to smell, in it.

Upon my inner Wolf’s repeated urging, and yelling me to move my paws, I followed the intoxicating scent of my future mate.

I quickly followed the trail of the scent in the wind, and reached a wide meadow next to the forest, that was filled with various small flowering plants, and also filled with lush green grasses in every inch of the land, looking so beautiful, and pleasing to the eyes.

But all that beauty of the surroundings in front of me, stopped making sense, and looking beautiful, the moment when I smelled the scent of the rogue wolf, that I was chasing back then, in the air along with the intoxicating scent of my possible future mate, that made me, and my inner wolf to go crazy in anxiousness, and the fear of the worst, in an instant.

I moved forward a little further, and raised my snout up in the air, sniffing around to know, in which way I should go the next.

Then, I was able to clearly smell the scent of the rogue wolf, who ran away from me just now.

When I went further following the scent of the rogue wolf, I fastened my pace steadily, and followed that intoxicating scent further on, which was mixed together with the scent of the rogue wolf, as I could smell that divine scent along with the rogue Wolf’s scent.

Then I reached a place in the middle of the meadow, only to encounter a shocking scene, that made my blood to boil in pure rage.

There in the middle of the meadow, on the forest ground I saw a small, and petite looking girl, from whom that delicious, and heart tickling scent was coming from, was squatting on the ground.

But what made me to blow up my top was that little petite figure was trembling in fear, and that damned rogue wolf was ready to attack her.

***’how dare that good for nothing, useless moronic wolf think of hurting her???’, I gritted out to myself.

Not wanting to waste any more time dwelling on my rage, I growled loudly at the top of my voice, clearly sending a warning to that rogue wolf to back off immediately from the girl, and not to make a mistake by daring to take another step towards the girl.

But that darn moronic rogue wolf did not take my warning seriously, and proceeded to move towards the little figure…the nerve of that stupid wolf!!!.
