Zion Xavier Pov:

"They both look so cute together, looking like a match made in heaven “, Casey said with a dreamy look in her eyes in the last, making my patience levels to drop by several degrees, in an instant.

“don’t you dare, Casey. Don’t you dare poke your nose in my matter”, I warned her, and tried my very best, to not to yell at her, for her stupid behavior.

“when did Aurora became your matter?. Don’t kid around here, Zion. Just because, she lives in your pack, does not mean that you have the right to say, in everything that would happen in her life. So, shut up, You bossy Alpha. I should go, and plan that dinner date well”, saying that, Casey stood up from her spot, and went to open the door of the office room.

“She became my matter, when I first laid my eyes on her. I have every damn right to say in anything, or everything, and every single little thing that happens in her life. She is MINE!!. AURORA IS MY MATE!!!!!”, I yelled at Casey, who only grinned from ear to ear, instead of being shocked, making me to frown in confusion.

“Well… . I knew it…I KNEW IT!!!!..Thank the moon goddess”, Casey said, and sat on her mate, Clint’s lap, with a victorious smile on her face.

I moved away from the office desk in the room, and looked at the vast green forest, out of the window in my private office.

Flashback:

On the day Zion brought back Aurora to the Night Howlers Pack.

Zion’s first meeting with Aurora.… ..

Suddenly the wind from the opposite direction blew across me, making my paws to stop running, and made me come to a still in my tracks.

I suddenly stopped still in my tracks, not because of the cool wind of the night, but because of the soothing, and attractive tones of breath stealing scent that was mixed with the night wind.

The very next minute, as if I did not get a good catch of that delicious scent already, a heavy wind blew over again carrying that similar, yet unfamiliar scent, which made me to breathe in them as much as I want, and made me to shiver in pure delight.

Due to the intensity of that strong wind, I was able to catch on to the alluring divine smell that was mixed together in the wind, which eventually made me to lose my footing, for a second.

I took in a deep breath, and held my breath for a few seconds, trying to savor the scent as long as I can, and imprinting that delicious scent, deep into my mind.

It was the most intoxicating scent, that I had ever smelled in my entire life. The delicious scent that made me lose my mind over it, was the combination of the lavender, with a hint of vanilla added to it in small doses, making it the alluring scent it was.

I just stood there, not knowing what to do for a minute, as my mind went blank for a second, as I stood rooted to my spot, unable to move my legs an inch further.

I was hell shocked, as I think I knew very well deep inside of my heart, as to what that intoxicated scent was, or more like the person to whom, that intoxicated scent might be belong to.

And as if to double confirm my suspicion further, my inner wolf started behaving weird, like running around in circles in my mind (mentally), and wagging his wolf tail in a repeated way, and howling in delight. His deep, and long howl can tell others, how much happy he was.

I could feel his change in mood, and feel how happy or more like how excited my inner wolf was right now, through the bond we share in between us.

His overexcited, and pure happiness, was kind of overwhelming to me.

Then all of a sudden, he said the one word, that I had never expected to hear in this moment, that too in a repeated mode, making my heart to beat very fast, in anxiousness.

“Mate…Mate.. MATE!!!!. Our mate, Zion… our mate is near us, Zion… finally… .. . We found OUR MATE!!! “, my inner wolf almost screamed in my mind, in happiness. He just ran around in circles, and howled in pure joy.

But I was too shocked, and surprised to say the least, as I had never expected to find my mate, right at this moment.

But before I could take a step in forward, I took a deep breath, and sniffed around again, to try to catch the intoxicating scent, that I had caught in the wind, so that I can get a hint of that scent to follow it, to find it’s source.

The next second, the wind blew across me strongly, making me to clearly catch on to the scent, which I was trying to smell, in it.

Upon my inner Wolf’s repeated urging, and yelling me to move my paws, I followed the intoxicating scent of my future mate.

I quickly followed the trail of the scent in the wind, and reached a wide meadow next to the forest, that was filled with various small flowering plants, and also filled with lush green grasses in every inch of the land, looking so beautiful, and pleasing to the eyes.

But all that beauty of the surroundings in front of me, stopped making sense, and looking beautiful, the moment when I smelled the scent of the rogue wolf, that I was chasing back then, in the air along with the intoxicating scent of my possible future mate, that made me, and my inner wolf to go crazy in anxiousness, and the fear of the worst, in an instant.

I moved forward a little further, and raised my snout up in the air, sniffing around to know, in which way I should go the next.

Then, I was able to clearly smell the scent of the rogue wolf, who ran away from me just now.

When I went further following the scent of the rogue wolf, I fastened my pace steadily, and followed that intoxicating scent further on, which was mixed together with the scent of the rogue wolf, as I could smell that divine scent along with the rogue Wolf’s scent.

Then I reached a place in the middle of the meadow, only to encounter a shocking scene, that made my blood to boil in pure rage.

There in the middle of the meadow, on the forest ground I saw a small, and petite looking girl, from whom that delicious, and heart tickling scent was coming from, was squatting on the ground.

But what made me to blow up my top was that little petite figure was trembling in fear, and that damned rogue wolf was ready to attack her.

***’how dare that good for nothing, useless moronic wolf think of hurting her???’, I gritted out to myself.

Not wanting to waste any more time dwelling on my rage, I growled loudly at the top of my voice, clearly sending a warning to that rogue wolf to back off immediately from the girl, and not to make a mistake by daring to take another step towards the girl.

But that darn moronic rogue wolf did not take my warning seriously, and proceeded to move towards the little figure…the nerve of that stupid wolf!!!.

When that rogue wolf was about to attack her, I jumped over her head, and stood in front of her protectively, as the basic instinct of protecting what belongs to me, surfaced above every other thoughts I had automatically, along with my inner wolf, who was more possessive, and protective of what was his.

That darn rogue wolf was no match for me, and within a few seconds, I killed him without any second thoughts.

The moment, I turned back to look at the small figure huddling on the ground, trembling like a leaf in fear, my breath hitched in my throat, and I literally lost the ground beneath my paws, for a second.

But in the end, I gathered all my bearings, and finally reeled in my emotions, and kept up with the steady, yet slow pace towards that little figure huddled on the ground.

There on the forest ground, I saw the most beautiful girl I had ever laid my eyes on, even though her hair was a total mess, and her little face was stained with her tears, and mud from the ground.

She had a long dirty brown colored hair, with the most brightest pair of hazel colored eyes.

The pair of eyes that were filled with fear, and a pool of tears, that flowed from those fear filled, yet mesmerizing eyes, while making a trail of it’s own on its way down her pale cheeks, like the raindrops falling on a leaf, and making it’s way down to the ground, due to the gravitational force of the earth.

She looked so small, and petite in her outer appearance, that one can mistake her, and take her for a child, if someone saw her now from a long distance, as she had curled herself up, making her full body to look like, it was turned into a small sized ball, or on the other hand, was she really an under aged girl, I thought to myself for a second there.

As she was still looking all terrified, and huddled more to herself like a wounded little bunny, and she did not even behave like she had realized that, she was my mate, for the moon goddess sake.

After my fight with the rogue wolf, I turned around to see my mate, standing at a few feet away from me, away from the fight scene.

But her standing posture was some what weird, as she did not even stand straight on her legs, at all. Instead, she lightly bend over to her front, while supporting, and hugging herself with her own hands.

But all of a sudden, out of no where, she started to behave abnormally, like she was going through extreme pain.

She clutched her chest more, like she was feeling pain in her chest region, and she looked like she had difficulties in taking a breath too.

She gasped for breath, while she tried to take in as much as air, that she could possibly take in at that time.

Seeing her like that, withering in extreme pain, I came out of my own little world, due to my sudden knowledge about my destined mate, where I was lost in my thoughts.

And then I ran towards in her direction in haste. But before I could run, and reach her, she fainted on the spot, hitting the ground in a second.

My heart skipped a beat in shock, and I pushed myself to run fast, and then reached her in the next second.

I careful came close to her, and looked at her little face that was looking like as pale as a sheet of paper, which was covered by her long brown lush hair.

The moment, I reached, and stood beside her, the scent of her smell, lavender with a hint of vanilla, hit my nostrils like a fast running bullet train, making me, and my inner wolf to go crazy in an instant.

"mate.... mate..... my mate...my mate", my inner wolf started to howl, and scream repeatedly, like a broken recorder, and howled loudly in pure happiness, while looking up at the sky, towards the full moon that was shinning brightly up above the sky, lightning the entire dark night with its shinny white light.

My inner wolf was so happy, and truth to be told I was feeling happy too, as we had found our destined mate, at last, after a very long time.... after the long years of yearning..... After the long years of waiting for that one person, who holds the other part of my inner soul.

I slowly, and steadily leaned closer to her, and huffed some air near her pale looking face, trying to blow away the clusters of those thick brown hair, that was currently blocking my yearning eyes, from taking a good look at our mate's face clearly.

After a few failed attempts from my lousy way, I was able to successfully, blow the clusters of hair away, making the beautiful face of our mate to be fully visible to us…

And truth to be told, we were stoned. We were too stunned to speak, as her beauty, and her mere presence made us to be dumbfounded, and at a loss of words.

Her small, and round little face was shinning brightly like a pure white jade material, without any impurities in it, with a natural glow to it.

And once her dark brown colored shinny hair was removed, and stopped from being an obstacle to me, to see her gorgeous face, like the moon that shines its light rays brightly after coming out from the screen of clouds, that were blocking it from our eyes, her round little face shined beautifully in front of my eyes.

I just looked at that innocent looking baby face of my destined mate, without blinking my eyes for a few seconds, but soon I was brought out of my own fantasy world, from the rantings of my over excited inner wolf.

***darn it… can’t this wolf of mine, can’t keep silent for a few seconds, and allow me to enjoy my time, in admiring this beautiful little creature in front of me??.

"mate.... mate..... my mate!...my mate!!", my inner wolf screamed yet again, making me to have an urge to stuff anything in his mouth, to make him to shut his mouth.

" that's our Mate, you dumb wolf.... not only YOURS....OURS!!...both mine, and yours", I snapped at him playfully, but had a small smirk at the corners of my lips.

So that my inner wolf can stop his happy howling, and all that fussy things like a headless chicken, making my head to have a splitting headache, and concentrate on our mate, who was unconscious right now.

"party spoiler.... whatever, you dumb human.... I am just very happy that we finally found our mate... look at our mate. she is so so beautiful, and looking very innocent too.... she is looking like a cute little pup", my inner wolf said happily, and wagged his tail constantly, being all giddy..

" yes... you are right.. our mate looks very beautiful, and cute looking too, like an innocent baby", I said without thinking, as I was too much mesmerized by the beauty of our mate...

"I want to mark our mate right now, and claim her as our own.

I want to proudly say to the others, that we have found our lovely Luna, and want to yell at the entire world, so loudly, so that the whole world would know that we have found our mate", my inner wolf ranted his thoughts, making me to be stumped out clean, by his way of thinking.

****this inner wolf of mine was thinking too ahead of himself, I thought.

"Don't you dare, buddy... Don’t You Dare…..to even think about marking our mate right now.

And that too in her unconscious state, without asking any permission from our mate...

it's not a right thing to do so.... so hold your darn fussy horses right there, and sit tight", I said to my inner wolf very seriously, as I do not want him to take my warning very lightly.

I want him to know very clearly that I meant each, and every word that I had said to him, right now. I don’t want him to think otherwise, in any circumstances.

After admiring, and praising how beautiful, and gorgeous our mate was looking, to each other (the conversation, I had with my inner wolf), I carefully lifted, and carried her on the back of my wolf body, not wanting her to fall down accidentally, while I was running, and I decided to bring her back to our pack.

I decided to go by the order of the things. I thought of getting to know who our mate was first, and where she was from, and currently where she was going to go, when she wakes up. With that in my mind, I turned around, and moved in the direction of the night howlers pack.

But after I took a few steps further, I found a small worn out school bag on the way, that reeked too much of the similar scent of our mate.

I leaned down carefully, so as to not to drop our mate from the back of my wolf body, and carefully took a few sniffs of the old school bag.

Then after I confirmed that the small school bag really belongs to our mate, I took it in between my teeth, and started the journey back to my pack.

I Started running as fast, and as carefully as I can, and swiftly, so that i will not drop my lovely mate from my body.

I quickly mind linked Clint, my beta, that I was bring a girl back to our pack house, and told him to do all the needed arrangements quickly.

I decided to hold the news, and wait for the time being, and not to break the news that I had already found out who my mate was, to my friends, and family right now.

With that in my mind, I ran swiftly, and finally reached the pack borders of the Night howlers pack.

Then I carefully laid my lovely mate who was unconscious on the bed, and went back to my room. That day, I spent a sleepless night as I was filled with so much of different types of emotions.
