The Hospital

*Flashback"

James POV:

I have a bad feeling about this, I know I am supposed to go alone but I just can`t risk Alisha and the kids lives if something happens to me. I pulled out my phone and called the one person I can trust.

*The Phone Rings*

"Hey Alpha, What`s up?" He says into the phone.

"I need you get up to my temporary office." I say urgently.

"Be there shortly." He says before hanging up the phone.

Five minutes later, knock is at my temporary office door, I open the door and tell him to come in.

"What`s up Alpha?" He says to me.

"I finally heard from Alisha." I say to him.

"Is she okay? Where is she? Lets go get her!" He starts rambling.

"Calm down it`s not that easy, but I need you to go with me." I say to him.

"What do you mean it`s not that easy?" He asked.

I sat him down and explained the situation at hand and what I needed him for.

*About An Hour Later*

"Lets do this, we will get her back safely." He says.

"I am really counting on you Jack." I say to him.

"I got your back Alpha." Jack says.

Jack`s POV:

I quietly sat in my spot watching this meeting go down, I heard Alisha say she killed one of the babies, and then saw her hit Alisha knocking her to the ground. I had to stop myself from rushing in to protect my Luna, I sat still and watched as James shifted and rushed her before he was ambushed by another wolf. I knew it, James was right this was a set up. James and his father went rolling into the woods I knew James would be okay, I was more worried about Alisha at this point. I watched as she smiled evilly at Alisha and heard them talking about Elizabeth`s plan. Alisha was being as strong as she could be, then Elizabeth started chanting some spell and Luna started screaming.

I realized she must be killing the second baby, and Alisha could not do anything about it. I rushed out as fast as I could and tackled Elizabeth, I used my teeth and claws to bite and dig my claws into her killing her. After making sure she was dead, I trotted over to Alisha. I saw how terrified she was, to calm her down I licked her stomach over her shirt and licked her face. I looked her in her eyes and realization kicked in, I saw it in her face she smiled and said.

"JACK, IS THAT YOU?"

I nodded my head indicating she was right.

She tried to sit up I put my head behind her and helped her sit up. She clutched her stomach in pain, I slid my head under her arm and she used all of her strength to stand up. I lifted up my head helping her stand up completely, still clutching her stomach in pain James came running out of the woods. I immediately mind-linked him.

*Mind-Link*

"We need to get her to the hospital now! Elizabeth tried to kill the second baby!" I say to him.

"Get her on top of me I will take her to the pack hospital!" He says to me.

I use my head and help Alisha get on top of James, and they take off towards the pack hospital.

I run behind a tree and shift back into my human form and step back out and run over to Elizabeth`s body and light a match. I throw the match on the body and burn the body to ashes before running off into the woods and coming across his fathers body as well. I do the same as I did with Elizabeth`s body and once I take care of that I take off towards the pack hospital. I mind-link the doctor as I head their way.

*Mind-Link*

"Doctor, James will be showing up with Alisha!! Elizabeth has killed one of the babies inside her! and tried to kill the other one!"

"They have just arrived, I am rushing her to the back now!!"

*Mind-Link Ended*

I ran as fast as I could back to the pack hospital.

James Pov:

I ran her back to the pack hospital as fast I could as much as I just wanted to hold her and kiss her I needed to get her to the doctor to make sure the babies were okay. I reached the hospital the doctor was waiting for me outside along with a couple of nurses as well. When I came to a stop they put her on a bed and wheeled her straight to the back and put her in a room. I ran behind a tree and shifted back into my human form and quickly got dressed. I ran back in to the hospital but was stopped by a couple of nurses keeping me from going to the back where my mate was.

"Let the doctor take care of her, you know he will let you back there when he is finished." One of the nurses stated.

I sighed and paced in the waiting room, as Jack came running into the waiting room.

"Alpha how is she?" he asks me out of breath.

" I don't know they will not let me back there, she still being seen." I say in frustration.

"Hey calm down, you can trust the doctor you know that and they will let you back there once she has been checked out." He says to me placing a hand on my shoulder trying to comfort me.

"I know, thank you for helping me today." I say to him.

"No problem anything to help my Alpha and Luna, and I am not going anywhere until I find out how she is doing myself anyway." He says to me with a huge smile.

We both sat down in the waiting room and continued to talk as we waited for the doctor to come update us. I asked him about Cynthia and how she was doing since it had been about two months since he had passed. He informed me that she was doing really good and that they have been living together since he ordered me to stay a few nights a week. She offered me to move in with her being that we get a long so great, and that her birthday was coming up in a month and she will be 22 years old. I told him we would plan a party after everything settled down for her to celebrate her birthday.

*About An Hour Later*

The doctor walked out into the waiting room and we immediately stood up and walked towards him.

"James and Jack you can come back now." He says to us.

"Is she okay?' I asked him.

"Yeah is she okay?" Jack asked.

"She is a little upset and she is a little sore but she will be okay, it will take some time but you James will have to be patient with her." He says to us.

We looked at each other with confused looks as we followed the doctor back to her room. We open the door and the first thing I see is Alisha crying. I ran to her and took her into my arms and Jack came inside the room and waited until I finished hugging my mate to give her a hug.

"Baby are you okay?" I ask her.

She shakes her head indicating she is not okay.

"What is wrong baby?" I ask her taking her hand in mine and sitting down beside the bed making myself eye level with her.

Jack took a seat on the opposite side of her bed.

"Alisha can you tell me what is wrong?" Jack asked.

She was silent for a few moments before she finally spoke up.

"I am sorry i was not strong enough to protect them." She said looking at me.

"Strong enough to protect who baby? And no I am sorry I could not protect you." I said in a sweet soothing voice.

"The babies." Was all she said before lifting her shirt reveal a large scar.

"We lost both of them." Was all she said.
