A knock could be heard throughout the room, making Niobe sit up on her bed.
The door was soon opened by Pealor. Niobe’s face lit up with a smile at the sight of him.
He closed the door behind him and walked over to Niobe’s bed, hugging her weirdly thanks to her swollen belly.
“Hello friend, how are you? “ he asked and sat down next to her bed.
The mother to be had quite a lot on her plate, but nothing could erase the smile on her face or ruin the joy she felt at seeing her friend.
“I'm good. The doctor said that I should be on bed rest until the baby’s born, but it’s just a precaution. I can feel the baby kicking when it’s happy and that makes me happy.” She said while caressing her big belly. It wouldn’t be long before the baby would come.
