Chapter 7 Jessica, Michelle and Andrew were clustered together at the edge of the snow-covered patio. They had been up the path before, but never past the chamber behind the waterfall. And the one time they'd been there before, they had been guided up the path through a growing storm by Villmarkers. I wasn't surprised they were unsure of the way. "Why don't you come up with me as far as the waterfall," I said. "I'll have you wait there while I make sure that Valki has gone into town." They nodded and fell into step around me. The path ran for some ways beside the half-frozen river, but the moment the waterfall was in view I looked up towards it. I could just see a shadow moving around the last bend in the path.
