Chapter 6 I sensed the crowd around me getting restless, and who could blame them? If we weren't going to move the body, they would prefer to leave themselves. But I couldn't let them go just yet. "I need just a moment of everyone's time, if you please," I said. I projected my voice to fill the hall, which it did nicely. It also had the smallest undercurrent of magic to it. I wasn't commanding anyone to do anything, but I was nudging them a little, making each of them a little more open to hearing me out. Then I turned to Loke, intending to ask him for advice on where to start. Only he wasn't there. He had been standing beside me just a second ago. Where could he have gone? He wasn't in the crowd around me, and I would've heard the sound of a door closing if he had left the building
