The Saffron Hill Rooming House was a converted movie theatre with thirty occupants living in small apartments on three floors. It was located in a rough area of town, where the architecture consisted of rundown brownstones and formally reputable plazas turned into strip clubs, pawn shops and hourly motels. Most of Saffron Hill’s residents were men. The few women who lived there, all of them prostitutes and d**g addicts, never stayed long. The shared washrooms and showers were just as frightening as the streets. Like most of his thefts, the one at Saffron Hill was minimally challenging. The lock showed little resistance and the Stealth alarm was easily deactivated.
