Chapter 4

"Farrah!"

Napahinto si Farrah mula sa saktong paglabas n'ya sa kaniyang sasakyan nang marining ang pagtawag ng kung sino sa kaniyang pangalan.

She didn't move, she didn't even bother to turn just to see who called her name. She waited in there for this person to stand beside her. Humarap sa kaniya ang nakangiting si Yanki, bitbit nito ang isang makapal na research book na ginawa ng kanilang grupo at ang laptop nito.

Napatingin s'ya sa hawak n'ya dahil katulad nito, ganoon din ang mayroon s'ya sa kaniyang braso.

"Do you need anything?" Walang emosyon na tanong n'ya rito.

Mukhang sanay na nga mga ito sa kaniya dahil imbis na mainis at ma-offend sa kaniya, napatawa pa ito ng mahina saka umiling.

"None." Nakangiting sagot nito. "I just saw you when I parked so I rushed to call you. Are you going inside na?" Turo nito sa loob ng university. She nodded as an answer. "Let's get inside together."

Hindi na s'ya nagsalita at hindi n'ya na rin ito tinanguan. Nagsimula s'yang humakbang papasok ng university at nasa tabi naman n'ya naglalakad si Yanki. Katulad ng kasama n'ya, nasa braso n'ya rin ang mga gamit bukod sa bag na nakasablay sa kaniyang balikat.

"You know what, Farrah, I heard from Miss Honrado that there are some candidate from other department that could actually tie to Lucianna. I am not that sure if it was true but yeah."

Dinig n'yang sabi nito habang naglalakad sila. Bahagyang kumunot ang kaniyang noo dahil sinabi nito.

"What do you mean?" Nagtatakang baling n'ya rito.

Well she knows the fact that there are other Latin honor candidate in other department but she will do everything she can to never let whoever it was get close to her rank. She was tend to be the best and have to be on the top.

Hindi pwedeng hindi.

Hindi na nasagot ni Yanki ang tanong n'ya nang makita nila na makakasalubong nila ang mga kaibigan nito kasama si Lore. May hawak na dalawang cup ng ice cream si Lore at may malawak na ngiti ito sa mukha habang nakatingin sa kanya.

"We just saw each other at the west," ani Liza.

"I got one for you," agad na sabi naman ni Lore nang makalapit at saka inabot sa kaniya ang hawak na s'yang tinanggap naman n'ya agad.

"Thank you," halos pabulong na sambit n'ya.

"Ah, guys, may text sa akin ang classmate natin and it says here that we need to hurry because Mr. Tomasian is in the room."

Lahat sila ay napatingin kay Lucianna. Nanlaki ang mga mata ng lahat maliban kay Farrah na napatingin sa suot na wristwatch. She was certain that she got in the right time

That her watch is not late. Now, she's wondering why the hell Mr. Tomasian is in there now.

"Why is he early? We are not defending yet, are we?" Nagtatakang saad naman ni Liza habang binilisan ang pag-ubos ng bitbit na burger.

"Nope." Lore responded, emphasizing the letter p.

Nagmamadali silang tumungo sa room nila at tama ang text message na natanggap ni Lucianna. Narito na nga si Mr. Tomasian — isa sa sigurado silang magiging panelist ng kanilang defense.

Nagtama ang paningin ni Farrah at ng professor ngunit ang dalaga ay hindi nagpatinag. She didn't even blink, she didn't smile and most of all, she didn't look away. She was this confident and the professor knows that he can never put Farrah look down.

"Please take your seats," Mr. Tomasian said.

Silang lima ay agad na tumungo sa kanilang mga upuan. Silang dalawa lang ni Lore ang magkatabi habang ang tatlo ay nasa kabilang side.

"Sir, if you don't mind....." Napatingin ang lahat — maliban kay Farrah — kay Lucianna nang magsalita ito. "Is there something we need to do now that you are reporting early? I mean, time still have 35 minutes. And, we are not complete yet."

"Well, I have an announcement to make." Sumeryoso ang mga mata nitong isa-isang tiningnan ang mga studyante. "This one is supposed to be announced later at the bulletin board of the department but I want to personally deliver the news to you."

Farrah on the other hand still has her eyes on her book while completely listening to their professors. She was hearing every word that Mr. Tomasian just uttered and she understood everything. That just only mean that their defense will not be that easy as they think it was.

"That would be very crucial, sir."

It was Lore.

"It is to make everything fair and square." Simpleng sagot ng kanilang professor. "And by the way, I will not be here during our class time. The deans are summoned for a meeting at the faculty."

The moment Mr. Tomasian excused himself, everyone are murmuring about the news they just heard. An outsider panelist?

*"Well, having an outsider panelist seems to be very exciting."* Farrah told herself while scrolling down her social media account.

Her social media that doesn't have anything about her. She doesn't post any personal info of her.... Not even her face nor her complete name.

"Anong say mo about that?" Biglang tanong ng katabi na si Lore.

She raised her brow on her best friend. Lore was pouting looking at her and sighed. She heard what Lore just said and was just asking for a clarification of in which "that" that Lore refers about.

"I don't have any problem about that," she said flatly and not even looking at her best friend.

She heard Lore chuckled. Napahampas pa ito sa desk nila pero hindi n'ya na rin pinansin.

"What the hell I was expecting to hear?" Lore said laughing.

Napatingala si Farrah nang hawakan nito ang wrist n'ya. She looked at Lore with her eyes giving her the "what" question.

"We have nothing to do in here and we only have Mr. Tomasian as the class schedule for today, remember? Let's have our nails done."

Napa-isip ng bahagya si Farrah dahil hindi pa naman n'ya naiisip ang sinasabi ng kaibigan pero tama rin naman ito sa kabilang banda.

They have nothing to do in here and even tho she always have her attention to study, she doesn't like the idea of staying inside the university doing nothing and just accepting all the noises her ears would be able to hear.

Pero bago s'ya tumayo ay napatigil at napatingin s'ya sa biglang nahagip ng kaniyang mga mata sa nakikita n'ya sa social media feed. Umawang ang kaniyang bibig dahil sa ganda ng lugar.

Mabilis n'ya itong si-nave at saka tumayo upang sundan ang kaibigan.

"1 escape won't hurt."

The man step closer to her and removed the tape that covered her mouth.

"Who are you? Why are we here?"

She couldn't hold her tears anymore. She's scared not just for herself but also for her sister, her best friend.

"Who are you? What do you want?"

She gasped when the man lift her cloth leaving with her just her undergarments. The man held her face and looked at her eyes down to her lips. The light were straight to the guys face so she could see his face clearly.

If only it was in other situation she would be fantasizing the guy in front of her. He has this hypnotizing hazel brown eye, pointed nose and pinkish lips like the girl.

But she just can't. The guy's kissing her with anger and like a hungry lion. She wants to push him but she can't.

Fear now is running in her entire body. She's feeling cold and she knew she's already shaking. She's now completely naked. She heard her sister and best friend crying and murmuring but she can't understand what they were talking.

She didn't bother to open her eyes and to look the man in front of her, when she felt no more hands touching her body. But she was surprised and tears scape in her eyes. Cigarette touches in her body, she scream in pain and cries heavily.

She scream in pain when the guy insert his hardness with force to her. Thrust deeper and deeper that made her cry too much.

She was raped.

She couldn't believe everything happened to her.

The guy left with no words. And she gasped when she spotted her sister and bestfriend in the same situation with her.

The three of them lying on the floor naked.

From fear to anger is that what she feels right now.

The door shut closed and suddenly their place were now full of gas that could possibly suffocate the three of them.

And everything went blank.

Two months after the incident she found out that she's pregnant.

At first! She thought of killing the life inside her. But her best friend Anya stop her of doing such thing.

Until her due date came.

And she gave birth to the two bouncing baby boys. Her heart melt when her eyes landed to the babies in nurses arms.
