Chapter 3

I OPEN the door of his presidential suite. I remain standing at the threshold as I watch Finch walk inside the suite. Even if I’ve been working for three years now in this famous Smith’s Hotel, I’m still mesmerized by the beauty of it. The interior design of each room is well thought out. There’s a spacious living room with a Lambert-oak sofa in the center and its center table matches its color. There’s also a countertop on the left side of the room. For me, the most attractive place in this suite is the balcony. This room is on the 17th floor so everyone can overlook the city. Also, the room was made of a glass wall and the sunlight was freely penetrating inside.            My eyebrow quirks up when Anica goes inside too. As far as I remember, this suite has only one bedroom. I looked at the two luggage bags placed in the corner of the living room. Obviously, one of them was for Anica. If she’s going to stay here in this suite too, does it mean they’ll sleep in the same bed?            But Finch is a married man. How could he stay in one room with another woman while wearing his wedding ring? I smirked at my thought. I shouldn’t be surprised. That’s exactly what he did to me a few years ago.            “Do you have any problems with our luggage, Ms. Alcantara?” I was back in my senses when I heard Finch’s amused voice. It’s already too late when I’ve realized that I’m already glaring at their luggage.            I made my face friendly and approachable when I held his deep ocean blue eyes that now penetrated at me. “None, Sir. It’s just so cute to see that you have the same luggage design and it didn't look like you’re here for a business trip. You carried more things than expected.” I smiled, a kind of smile that tells everyone that I don’t fake it, but deep inside, I want to grimace until my face looks like a crumpled paper.            And the hell you care, Isabella? It’s none of my business if they have the same luggage design and carry more things. Maybe, they’ll spend a week together to have a vacation after this event. I don’t know their plans and I shouldn’t care.            “Anica chose the design and she packed my things. I let her decide on those matters.” Finch uttered without blinking while staring at me. He started removing his suit and loosening his tie as he walked towards the sofa. He sat there as if he’s the king of the world, waiting for his slaves to kneel in front of him.            Anica proudly smiled at me. “Mr. de la Vega has a busy schedule so I did it for him every time he has a business trip.”            What about his wife? Shouldn’t she be the one doing it?            And one more time… the hell I care.            “I could say you’re a great secretary. No wonder you work for him for years now.” I sounded so proud of her but the truth is I don’t care about her achievement or how good she is in her job. “Thank you, Isabella.” She blushed as if it was her first time hearing a compliment. “I have been only working for a year as his secretary.”            Our conversation ended when Finch interjected. Even though he’s sitting on the sofa, his body was shifted in my direction. Now I could see what beneath on his white long-sleeves as the three buttons of it were open.            “Why are you still standing in the doorway? Do I have to invite you in for you to be able to get inside?” There’s a hint of irritation in his voice. “What are you? A vampire?” He sarcastically said.            I ignored his sarcasm. “I hope you still remember what Mr. Smith said earlier. Attendants weren’t allowed to stay—”            “The hell I care about your protocols.” His expression became hard and hawkish. It feels like he’s going to do something bad if I didn’t follow what he wants.            “I’m sorry, Sir but I really can’t go inside your suite.” It’s safer if I didn’t. Who knows what he’s planning to do with me even if Anica is also inside.            I stepped backward when he started walking towards me. His massive steps made me more anxious. I want to run away from here before he finally catches me but before I even step back one more time, he already held my wrist and grabbed me to get me in. I landed on his chest because of his vigorous pull. I can feel his firm chest and his muscles looked tight and strained beneath the white material of his long sleeve. I can closely see his face. There’s something in his perfect jaw, deep ocean blue eyes, and perfect nose that made him more manly.            His arms are embracing me to help me not to lose my balance. I immediately distanced myself from him and I saw how the corner of his lips curved but when I raised my right eyebrow on him, he returned to stern expression.            “I want you here to attend my needs.” The way Finch stands in front of me looks so demanding. “No one will know that you stay here. Unless you tell to your boss.” He winced at his last word.            “Even if no one will know, I can’t violate our protocols. Jackson will find me. He’ll easily know that I’m here—”            He snorted but his jaw was clenching. There’s a raging fire in his eyes now and I can’t deny that I feel a slight fear for myself. He’s mad again.            “Your boss is really making me amused by being so hands-on on his employees. I’ve never seen a CEO who could monitor his employee in every move she makes and will able to find her when she lost in his sight.” His voice was full of mockery. I just stared back at him. He titled his face on the other side and muttered a soft curse. A thing he always does when he’s pissed. “Very impressive, huh.”            “Mr. Jackson cares about all his employees. It wasn’t just me if it’s what you want to say. And what’s wrong if he finds me? I am under his responsibility so he has the right to know everything I do in this hotel.” I said holding back the brewing anger in me. “You’re a CEO too, Mr. de la Vega. I know you take care of your employees too and give privileges. Just like giving your secretary a privilege by sharing a room with you.”             I glanced at Anica and I saw a slight shock on her face. I just smiled as I looked back at Finch. His mouth parted but he pursed it immediately before sighing harshly. His lips were now tuck in a grim line, making him look stern. He dismissed Anica and maybe, she already felt the tension, so she pulled right away the two luggage bags towards the bedroom.               It's only the two of us now in this spacious living room but I feel like it’s so small as his presence makes it smaller.                        “When I give privilege to my employee, I make sure everyone will get the same privilege. Not unlike other CEOs, they’re just too focused on one employee they want to pursue.” His brow shot up a bit.               “So, you mean all your employees have a privilege to share a bed with you?” I innocently asked but an acid smile is hiding on my lips. “Letting all birds taste one dish suppress the starvation. It’s so nice of you, Mr. de la Vega.” My tone is full of mocking and full of contempt but he ignored it.              He shifted his weight as he looked at me with serious and grumpy eyes. Those thick brows looking perpetually annoyed, he is almost scowling. “It’s a bad thing you aren’t my employee, Ms. Isabella.” I became more anxious when he cut the distance between us. I can feel the warmth of his body as he stood closely. “Sadly, you can’t taste me… again.” He said softly as he put some strands of my hair behind my ear. “But I can still consider it. I’ll let you taste what you’ve missed for the past years.” He breathed heavily and traced his nose on my jaw and then neck. My lips parted and I realized how he’s affecting me physically this time. “You all have to ask, Isabella.” A slow and erotic lick of his tongue on the tip of my ear made me shiver.               I almost forgot to breathe as I felt what he’s doing to my body. Being this close to him, and with those expressive deep ocean blue eyes on me, my heart pounded violently. My body is slowly giving in especially when he started to create small circles on my back. Warmth flowed to my body down to my stomach at his sensual touch. I have to do something about it!              I pushed him away even if I felt my strength leaving my body. I composed myself and tried to find my balance. I was chasing my breath when I glared at him. A satisfaction was visible on his face when he saw how affected I was by what he did.               “Sorry but I don’t taste leftovers.” I found my voice again, tinged with irritation. Before he even speaks, I walked out of his room. Never minding him calling my name.               I leaned my back on the elevator wall as I got inside. Thankfully, I was alone. I suddenly felt foolish. How could I let him touch me like that?               What he said to me inside the elevator earlier lingered in my mind. I know he’s trying to seduce me, make me thirst for him, play me again and I shouldn’t let him win. I had enough. I can’t afford to let him destroy me again. *****             “Tell me what’s going on, Isabella. You’re hiding something from me.” Jackson’s gaze is scrutinizing. He leaned forward so he could see my face closely. We’re here at the lounge on the 15th floor. This area is exclusively for the employees. Luckily, we’re the only ones who're here right now. He’s sitting beside me on this long couch while I’m gawking at the city. The event for today is already finished. All the CEOs and their entourage are probably resting on their suites now.             “I’m just tired, okay? There’s nothing to tell.” I look so exhausted. I can’t blame Jackson if he figured it out right away that something’s wrong as it’s visible on my face.             “Do you think I’ll believe you? We’ve been friends for years now. I can say when something’s bothering you.” He wiggled his eyebrows when I glanced at him.             I don’t want him to know about Finch. It’ll make things more awkward. He witnessed how broke I was a few years ago because of Finch. He’s there every time my tears are falling on my cheeks while remembering Finch. It’s easy for me to share what happened to me in the Philippines because Jackson doesn’t know the man I’m always talking about. But now that Finch’s here, I can’t spill even a single word about him.             “I just realized that I can’t see my family this weekend as I’m still needed for the event. I kinda miss them you know.” I lied. My lips protrude as I rest my back on the sofa.             My family bought a house in Cambridge. The trip takes hours before I reach London from Cambridge. Smith’s Hotel provides a building wherein all the employees can stay there. That’s why I chose to stay in a hotel and go to our house every weekend. It’s less hassle and I can save more money as I don’t need to pay for transportation.             Jackson’s way of staring at me didn’t change. “This is not the first time you can’t visit your family for the weekend.” His voice was still full of suspicion. “And this is not how you react when you miss them.”             I shoveled his arm and I laughed a bit to ease his seriousness. Okay, he didn’t buy my alibi. “People’s reactions changed! I just miss them, okay? Don’t think too much. You’re just exhausting yourself.” I rolled my eyes at him.             He rubbed his chin using his thumb. “You can fool everyone but not me.” He straightened his legs and spread his both arms on the sofa. “Something’s off between you and that de la Vega. I can feel it.”             My heart pounded with a force that almost made me faint. “I’m just doing my job by accompanying him. I need to entertain him and give his demands. What’s wrong about that?”              “The way you both react when in front of each other, that’s the problem, Isabella. Don’t bother to tell me that it’s normal and nothing to you ‘cause I won’t believe you.” He gave a bark of laughter when he noticed I became pale. “See? You’re hiding something from me. I’m not forcing you to tell me.” He leaned closer. “I’m going to find it out.” I punched his arm when he blew my ear.             “There’s nothing to find, Jackson. You’re just being paranoid.”             He grinned as he observed my expression. “Let’s see then.”             We’re interrupted by Leo, one of the bellhops in the hotel. At first, he’s contemplating if he’s going to walk near us. But maybe it’s urgent so he didn’t mind the nervousness he’s feeling.             “I’m sorry to interrupt, Mr. Smith. But Ms. Alcantara is requested to serve the food of the guest in room 205.” Leo stated. He’s standing politely and slightly bowed his head.             Requesting an attendant to serve the guest is very common in this industry. Some loyal guests feel more comfortable with certain attendants. Every time they check-in, they want their favorite attendants to serve them.             I stood up and stretched slightly. “No problem, I’ll serve the food now.” Leo and I were about to walk towards the elevator but Jackson stopped us by asking Leo a question.             “Who’s the guest occupying room 205?” There’s a smirk on his face that makes me piss off. I know he won’t stop until I tell him what I need to say.             “Mr. Finch de la Vega is occupying that room, Mr. Smith. He told us he won’t accept any room service unless it’s Ms. Alcantara who’ll serve him.” Leo innocently said. I want to grab his hand and pull him away from Jackson.             Triumphant glimmered in his eyes. His laughter boomed where we ate. He’s grinning from ear to ear while eyeing me. I can’t help myself but roll my eyes on him. “Tell me one more lie, Isabella. Maybe this time, I’ll believe you.”             I don’t know that it’s Finch’s hotel room. After what he did earlier, I don’t want to come back to that room again. But I have to. It’s my job. Is he going to bug the management if I didn’t serve his food?             “Think whatever you want to think. You’re just wasting your time.” I grimaced as I continued walking. Leo was a bit confused if he’s going to follow me or stay here.             Before I even stepped on the elevator, Jackson called me. I turned at him and he looked so serious now.             “Get back here after ten minutes. You’ll just serve his food, understand?” His voice was full of authority.             “I will. You don’t have to tell me that.” I’m still pissed off because of him. And as if I want to stay in that room with Finch the jerk. Heck, I’m not that insane to make myself a prey.             “If you didn’t come back here after ten minutes, I’ll follow you there.” He raised his eyebrow on me.             “Whatever,” I whispered as I stepped on the elevator and Leo followed me.             There’s an amazement in Leo’s expression when he stared at me. I shoved his arm to stop him from    staring. We’re now in the elevator and heading to the kitchen to get the food that I’m going to serve for Finch.             “So, when is your wedding with Mr. Smith? I hope I’m invited.” He teasing smiled.             I rolled my eyes on him. “He isn’t even my boyfriend.”             “C`mon, you don’t have to deny it. Mr. Smith already confirmed it a while ago.”             “He’s an asshole.” I grimaced as Leo didn’t stop teasing me.             “You’re close with his parents and you two are always together. Do you think I believe that what’s going on between you two are just nothing?” Leo shook his head, there’s a small grin on his face.             “Is a man and a woman can’t be friends? Don’t always romanticize the closeness that a man and a woman have.” I puffed a breath. “They can have a pure friendship, and romantic feelings aren’t involved.”             His smile widened in disbelief. “I don’t think so. Mr. Smith won’t say anything like that if nothing is going on between you two.”             I’m so tired explaining myself to the people who always get the wrong idea of Jackson and me. Well, I can’t blame them as Jackson is too asshole to insinuate something like what he did earlier when he spoke in front of the CEOs and his employees. I don’t know what his intention was. All I know is he just wants to make fun of me.             I didn’t talk to Leo anymore as he’s starting to piss me off too. When we got to the kitchen, I pushed the service trolley towards the elevator again. I took a deep breath when I was now in front of the door of Finch’s presidential suite.             I badly want to wake up from this nightmare. This is not what I imagine when I wish to have a peaceful and successful life. Not with this man… not with him again.             I rang the doorbell two times and uneasiness engulfed me when the door opened. The door revealed Finch    with his disheveled hair, half-naked and his well-defined body makes me leave this place. I sense nothing but danger when he’s around. He wasn’t flexing his body but the way his abdomen cracked, I knew he had enough muscles to model.             He looked ruthless with a thick arched eyebrow, menacing eyes, and thin grim lips. Based on the slacks he’s wearing; he hasn’t taken a shower yet. It’s the same slacks he was wearing earlier.             “Come in,” he uttered. He opened the door widely and the moment I got inside, he closed it. My heart tugged loudly when I heard the lock sound.             “Here’s your food, Sir. This is good for two people.” I calmly said while arranging the food on the dining table even if my insides started to shiver. “Enjoy your meal.”             As soon as I’m done arranging it, I ready myself to leave. I secretly roamed my eyes to find where Anica was. Is she inside the bedroom? Taking a shower? Why Finch isn’t freshened yet and…naked? Are they just done…? I shook my head. Ugly thoughts attacked my mind making me want to lash out.             When I turned to Finch, I looked at him in the eyes, trying so hard to make this look as genuine as possible. I saw his eyes drifting on my body and he lifted it on my face immediately.             “I need you to do something for me.” His voice was hoarse and a little bit husky.             My friendly smile remained on my face even though I feel not safe here. “Sure, Sir. How may I help you?”             If I only just can say no in every guest’s request, I would. But of course, we’re allowed to decline requests if it’s beyond the limitation.             Finch pushed the service trolley away so that there’s no barrier between us. He started to walk closely towards me. The closing distance made me gasp and step back. He smells so nice and manly but I’m more concerned of his expression. Whatever he’s planning to do, I’m ready to kick his pet.             He was watching me and maybe he noticed the alarm expression in my face that made him chuckle. “You look so nervous, Ms. Alcantara. What do you think I’m going to ask you to do, hmm?”             I lowered my eyes a bit because his domineering aura did step up to a larger power. He was intensely looking at me and I’m now sweating bullets.             “As long as I can do it, Sir, I will.” The nervous I’m feeling reflects in my voice.             “Are you sure? There’s no turning back once you agree.” He let his fingers travel on my waist that almost made me jump. My stomach fluttered and my heart raced more.             When I found my courage to look in his eyes, I saw how his lips curved in a sensual smirk while his eyes were playful. I step back once more to take his hand off of me. His smirk grew even more when he realized that.             “Do you mind telling your request now, Sir? I still have things to do.” I patiently uttered even though I wanted to strangle him to death.             He pointed to the bedroom. “I need you in my room.” He commanded in a tone that seemed used to be obeyed.             I greeted my teeth and prayed so hard to keep my cool and let it pass. “I beg your pardon, Sir?” This time, annoyance is visible on my face.             There's humor in his eyes. “I said I need you in my room.” Before I even protested, he enveloped my waist and forcibly dragged me into his room. The way my heart skipped a beat when I felt his hand on my wrist scared me. There’s no trace of Anica. We’re alone in his room… again.              I started to scream and punch his chest when he successfully brought me inside. I was about to run but he immediately closed the door with an amused smile on his face. I know I can’t win against him. His shoulders are broad and powerful. His back muscles are well-defined. The groove of his spine is well indented.             “Easy, Isabella. It’s not like what you think.” He chuckles as he speaks.             Thankfully, he let go of me but he stood in front of me, showing that he won’t let me leave the room without his permission.             “What do you want?” I said it in the most irritated state.             He crossed his arms and then my eyes drifted quickly down to his biceps and forearms. The veins in his arms showed up. And I hope he didn’t see how I stared at his body.             “I want you to prepare the jacuzzi for me. I want to take a bath now.” There’s a ghost of a smile on his face.             My cheeks reddened and I looked away. I felt the embarrassment engulfed me. “You should’ve nicely told me and not dragged me into your room.”             A sinful seductive smile crept into his face. He touched his chest as if he’s enduring pain there. “You still punch hard, huh.”             His chest is kind of reddish because of my punches. It was his fault, anyway. He deserves it but I can’t stop myself from feeling a little bit guilty as I’m aware how strong my punch was.             “Only to you.” My lips protruded.             His eyebrow quirks up. “Only to me? Don’t you punch your boss? Don’t you bite his ear whenever you’re bored?” His gaze softened as he took a shaky breath. How dare him to mention those as if we had just a normal break up. “Or kiss him every time you demand attention,” He’s being near again and this time, I can’t move my feet. He breath slowly, deliberately near my ear, willing my breathing to mirror his. “Is it still only me, Isabella?”             I stiffened at his words. It didn’t quite reach my brain as his words are still processing. I can’t believe he has guts to ask me that. I think he’s not aware that I’m not the same Isabella who’ll let myself be fooled on him again.             Without any reaction, I turned my back on him and walked inside the spacious shower room. There’s a glass wall where you can gawk the city while relaxing in the jacuzzi. A porcelain tiled-shower area and a sink with its mirror.             I get some scents and things from the vanity I need to put on the jacuzzi. I don’t care if he doesn’t want the scent, I put on it. All I want is to finish my work here so that I can leave now.             I was busy preparing his jacuzzi and I didn’t even realize that he’s already inside too, taking off his belt slowly. His eyes give me a seductive stare that I ignored right away. My lips parted when I saw in my peripheral vision that he took off his slacks and he’s only in his boxer brief. His large frame covered the light I’m seeing from the glass wall as he walked towards me. His arms folded across his chest. I tried to leave a distance between us while I’m preparing his jacuzzi but he even made himself closer, giving the fact that he’s just wearing his boxer brief. The bulge thing in between his thighs shouts proudness.             I gasped loudly and looked at him, irritated. “Do you mind wearing your bathrobe while I’m not yet done preparing this freaking jacuzzi that you can do by yourself?” My annoyance burst out.                         The amusement and the control looked so obvious in his eyes and lips. “Are you shouting at me?”               I opened my mouth to say something but all I did was exhale violently. When I find the courage to speak again, I show how irritated I am. “You’re being too much, Finch. Stop this bullshit and just continue your pretense!” My heart is in fury. I wanted to shout at him in frustration and all the bottled-up feelings but he looked unfazed.              And then a low chuckle escaped his lips. “You know I find you sexy every time you’re shouting at me, right?” He steps in the jacuzzi without taking off his sensual stare at me. The water deducted when he sat down. The water level is below his chest. He licked his lower lip as he kept staring at me. “Especially when you’re calling me in my name. It seems you’re asking me to make love with you—”             “f**k you!”               “Okay, I’ll give you the privilege to f**k me.” He opened his arms widely as if welcoming me.               “You’re disgusting!”               His evil smile directed at me and all I could do was throw him a dagger look. “It’s not too late to join me here.” He patted the water surface that made a splash. I step back to avoid myself from being soaked. “Like the old times, hmm?” He laughed mockingly a bit.               I rolled my eyes on him. “Enjoy your stay here, Mr. Finch freaking de la Vega.” I turned my back on him and started walking to leave the shower room.               A cold wind suddenly enveloped me when I felt myself being soaked by the water. I froze in place when I started to get shiver. When I turned around to the person who’s suspect of what happened, a satisfied smile curved at his lips when he roamed his eyes on my body.               “Oppss… my hands moved on its own.” A mischievous tone of his voice made me madder.               “What the hell did you do?! I am freaking wet now!” Anger was pumping in my veins and my self-control was threatening to burst. He probably splashed the water all over my body. I can’t believe this jerk!              He stood up and I looked away when I noticed his bulge became more visible as the boxer brief gripped his lower part because of the water. The lucky water fell from his hair then on his thick brows. Some were falling from his hair down to his cheeks and touching a bit of his chest.              “Hmm… let me do something about your wetness.” He’s about something else and I hate him for poisoning my mind easily.             “Don’t come near me,” my voice is shaky as I step backward when he keeps coming to me. “I swear to God, I’m going to kick your balls to death if you ever lay your hands on me.” I threatened him but it didn't affect him.         “You’ll catch a cold if you don't take off your clothes.” His other hand is already behind me claiming its territory. He cornered me in the sink as if I’m a prisoner.             He acts as if he really cares while in fact, he's the reason why I'm in this situation.             “Don’t touch me…” My blood rushed to my veins and my breath hitched. An unfamiliar feeling spread like wildfire at the sight of his flaming eyes. He gripped my waist as if it’s his way to keep in touch with his self-control. His palms were warm and comforting. I shouldn’t feel this.             I saw his eyes changing when his eyes drifted towards my body, the menacing look was something new… something he’d never done to me yet. His jaw clenched repeatedly. He muttered a soft curse. His mouth parted but he pursed it immediately before sighing.             “You have to take it off.” His voice was so soft to the point I almost didn’t hear it.             His eyes lowered on my body once again. The way darkness played on his eyes made my knees wobble. I can only imagine the thoughts that’s running on his head right now. He started unbuttoning my uniform and I was still in shock as I wasn’t able to stop him.             He leaned his body to me even more to the point I can’t feel the firmness of his muscle and the thing that is now poking my upper thigh. He breathed heavily as he crouched a bit and now his lips are on my jaw. Until his lips are just inches away from mine now. His nose is rubbing on mine. His hot breath makes me succumb to the sensation he’s making me feel.             He’s contemplating to kiss me; I can feel it. Maybe, because he can’t cheat on his wife. A thing he did unregretfully to me. I also don’t want to be his mistress. I know the feeling of being cheated and even though his wife is the reason why Finch left me, I still can’t bear to hurt her.             As my head was clouded with unknown emotions and questions, I didn’t notice that Finch successfully took off my uniform, and now my brassiere is exposed to him. His hands are a little bit shaky as he traveled his fingers from my collarbone down to my waist. Teasing my chest at his touch. He even wrecked the stockings I was wearing.             Before the situation went too far, I immediately stopped him and crouched to cover my body. A low groan escaped his lips. I looked at him as he was watching me closely, intently.             “I have to go now.” There’s no emotion written in my face now.             He stops me again by pulling me. “You’re wet.”             “Yeah, thanks to you.” There’s a hint of sarcasm and anger in my voice as I look back at him.             His Adam’s apple moved for a swallow. He doesn’t even look guilty or sorry for what he did. “I won’t let you leave this room unless you wear my clothes.”             Finch moved fast as he grabbed the towel and covered it to me. He wasn’t even embarrassed that he’s just wearing his boxer brief and his bulge is catching attention. So, I’m the one who’s adjusting to not to look at it even if it’s… tempting.             I walked back to his bedroom and he remained in the shower room. I immediately took off my wet uniform before he came out. I grabbed a random white t-shirt and his boxer shorts on his cabinet. I wore it fast, worrying Finch will show up.             I don’t know how I will go to my room without any attendants recognizing me. I suddenly thought of Jackson. He can’t follow me here. He might get the wrong idea. So, I texted him that I am already in my room to rest as it’s already my off. I hope he won’t go there because if he did, I’m dead.             Finch stepped out of the shower with just a towel wrapped around his waist. He took a quick shower. Water droplets began to trickle down his chest as if on purpose, lingering on his abs. they traveled lower and lower until I was forced to remove my gaze from his body.             “You look hotter with my clothes on.” His eyes never left mine. His eyes were enticing, his movements, although he’s tall and his body massive, were fast, smooth, and quiet as if a soldier in the middle war. He got clothes from his closet too and I immediately turned away when he took off the towel without any words. I can feel the redness of my face.             I was facing the door while I’m standing on the left side of his bed. I can’t believe I’m in this kind of situation now. Me wearing his clothes while he’s busy finding clothes to wear just the two of us inside the room.             After all what happened.             This is ridiculous.             I almost shriek when I feel his presence behind my back. He was too close. His body was nearly pressed up against mine. I closed my eyes to make myself calm. I just didn’t like how I felt. There’s a violent and unfamiliar surge inside of me that I couldn’t handle.             “Let’s eat now.” He held me to turn my face towards him.             “Where’s Anica?” I chose to sit on the bed so he couldn’t touch me anymore but I think it’s a wrong idea as he sat down too and rested his hand on my bare thigh that I quickly pushed away.             “She’s not here.”             “That’s why I’m asking where she is,” I rolled my eyes.                “It’s not important where she is,” he stood and held my wrist for the nth time to make me stand up too, “the food you brought is probably cold now. I’ll reheat it then we’ll eat.”             We came out of the bedroom and I’m still confused. “I’m not gonna eat with you.”             “Then allow me to eat you.”             “What?!” I exaggeratedly asked.             A low chuckle escaped his lips as he caressed my hand while pulling me towards the dining table.             This is insane.
