Jacob’s pov
I hired Alexa because I needed a legal assistant. She was great at her job. I wanted to prove myself to my family. My older brother Ryder decided not to go into the family firm, so everything fell on my shoulders.
Then my mom got sick, so all this work was piled onto me. I hated to admit I needed help but was glad I found Alexa. She always does everything I ask of her. I have always been all about work.
I have never had time for a relationship. I have always been okay with that. My work comes first. I have dreams I want to accomplish before I even think about settling down. I wish I could be more like Ryder carefree, and enjoying life.
He followed his dreams. I myself could never just leave my family and go after something so impossible. No, I am a great lawyer
