Chapter 6
Kane’s pov
I loved being a pediatrician. I knew since I was a kid that I would always be a doctor. But lately I felt like it wasn’t enough. All I ever did was work. I was lonely. I wish I had a wife and child to come home too. All my friends are already married with kids. Every time we went out, I was always the 5th wheel. So, I just stopped going out.
I was doing a house call for one of my patients today. He wasn’t doing very well, and I knew he needed to be hospitalized. This is the part of my job I didn’t like. Once I had everything set up for my patient to get to the hospital I headed to my practice.
