After he left the dining hall, Kai's mind buzzed with thoughts as he walked through the dimly lit corridors of the palace. His intended destination, his private chambers, lay in the opposite direction. Yet, his feet seemed to move of their own accord, leading him towards the medical wing instead. With each step, a sense of unease settled within him, tightening his chest with invisible chains of worry. Stepping inside, he was greeted by the sterile scent of disinfectant and the low hum of medical equipment.
