Adelina Cortez's POV
It had been a whole week since I received a message from Kane. He never contacted me again, but I didn't pay much attention to it, because I had been super busy with modeling deals.
It was Monday once again and I was walking into a café, when I bumped into a girl. "Oh s**t!" She said, as her coffee cup fell to the ground.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I said in panic. "Here," I said as I handed her some paper napkins. "Thank you," she mumbled with red cheeks.
"I'm not usually this clumsy!" She said in embarrassment. "I'm just really in a hurry. I have a meeting with my, um, boss," she said nervously.
"Go, go!" I said, shooing her out of the door. "Wait!" She said quickly. "What's your name and number?" She asked then blushed. "Only so I can repay you for your kindness," she added.
"Sorry, that's probably weird, huh?" She asked. "Not at all. Here's my number and I'm Adelina. When you get a chance, text me. We will have a redo of this disastrous day and we will become best friends," I told her with a wink.
"I need more friends and I'm Sereia," she said then she was out of the door as quick as wind. I laughed and smiled to myself. She was pretty awesome.
I kept myself busy, dealing with photo shoots and paperwork all day. After a while, I gave up and took a nap before my afternoon run. Once I woke up, I changed and grabbed a granola bar.
Right as I finished scarfing it down, my phone chimed with a text message. I grabbed my phone and looked at the screen.

Um, hello?

It's me, Sereia!
Adelina
Oh, haha. Hey girl!
Sereia
So, I need to vent and I need to vent now.
Adelina
Meet me at the park? I'm fixing to go for a run.
Sereia
Main Street?
Adelina
Yes

I locked my phone then hooked it up to my arm band and stretched quickly before jogging out of my house to meet up with Sereia.
I spotted her long wavy hair and smiled. "Sereia!" I called out loudly and she looked up and smiled. "Hey girl. Sorry, but I need to vent and you're going to think I'm crazy," she said and I raised an eyebrow.
"I'm going to be very vague, but please just let me talk like a crazy person." I laughed and nodded. "Go ahead. I'll listen and offer some words of encouragement or something," I said with a smile.
"Okay so um, I met this guy and he's a prick but he's sexy and I want him but I don't want him. So he um, did something. I didn't want to do it but it'll help me, so I did it," she said and I refrained from laughing.
"Go ahead and laugh," she said with a small smile. "No. It's okay. Keep going," I told her. "I'm just angry, yet excited! I don't know what to do!" She said loudly and I sighed with her.
"Girl, just calm down. Maybe give whatever the heck is going on in your life a chance?" I suggested. "Yeah. Maybe," she said then started laughing. I joined in and smiled.
"You feel better?" I asked softly. "Very!" She said with enthusiasm. "Good, now let's run!" I said then took off down the running trail, with Sereia hot on my tail.
My phone started to vibrate and I looked at my arm.
1 New Message
I slowed my pace and took some deep breaths. "Let's take a break real quick," I told Sereia. "I need to check my phone," I said with a small smile. "You must be an important person," she said with a smile of her own.
"I'm a model. A very recent popular model," I told her, blushing like a school girl. "Oh my god?! Really? That's amazing!" She said excitedly.
I unhooked my phone and opened the message.
Kane Augustus
You look sexy in those shorts.
I whipped my head around in each direction, before blushing ferociously. "You okay?" Sereia asked. "Yes. I'm fine. Just some guy," I told her.
"I-," she said but was cut off by her phone ringing. "What?!" She snapped into the phone. "Fine," she said in defeat then frowned.
"I have to go. I'll text you later!" She said quickly before running off in the opposite direction. "Bye!" I yelled after her then scanned the park once more.
I typed out a response to Kane and hit send.
I'm not sure if I should feel creeped out or not.

I blushed and shook my head. With my phone in hand, I ran back to my house to tell Carlos everything that had happened. I needed a venting session of my own.
