Carrying her to my room, I wasnt going to put my mate anywhere else, Walking in lying her down on my bed,
"Doctor?" I called out,
"He's on his way up," Mom moved to the bathroom, coming out with a wet cloth lying it over her forehead,
"Those are some bad scars, and of all places, her eyes,"
"P?" Macklin whispered, "No, P, Dont leave me,"
Looking to Mom, "P?" I mouthed.
Moving next to her, touching her cheek, "Macklin, wake up,"
Her face scrunched a little when she gasped, then shot straight up. A scream came from her as she held her hand over her eyes,
"Shh, Macklin, it's okay, calm down," I wrapped my arm around her, trying to keep her from falling off the bed. She was throwing her arm all over like she was fighting someone off,
"Hey, hey, it's okay, " I tried again. I placed both hands on her face. Her eyes opened. They moved like she was trying to get her bearings,
"Macklin, calm down, listen to my voice, it's Gage, do you remember?"
Her body stilled as her hands came up over mine,
"Yes," She whispered. Her heartbeat was fast, and her breathing was slowing down to normal. Using my thumb, I wiped the tears from her cheeks,
"What happened?"
"You passed out. I brought you inside. I have our pack doctor coming to check on you,"
Her head started shaking as she pulled her head back out of my hands, "No, No, Im okay, Please,"
A knock on the door stopped me from saying anything. Mom moved to open it as our doctor walked in,
"Good evening," He trailed off as he came to a stop at the foot of the bed, His eye looking at Macklins,
"NO." Macklin started to move to get up but bumped her hands against my chest. Placing mine over hers, I held them to me,
"It is okay, Macklin. He won't hurt you,"
Her whole body started to shake again. Fear rolls off her in waves all over again, like outside,
"She is going into a panic attack," The doctor moved quickly and was on the other side of the bed. He opened his bag, pulled out a small needle,
He went to inject her, but I growled, stopping him,
"It is just a sedative. It will relax her and help her calm down,"
Giving him a nod, He injected her, and within seconds, her body relaxed as she went limp, falling forward against me. Catching her, I laid her back on the bed,
"Can anyone explain what is going on?" The doctor asked as he looked from Macklin to me,
"She is my mate. She passed out when we were out in the garden,"
He started to pull things out of his bag,
"When she passed out, did she have a spell like just now?"
"Yeah,"
He began to check her over, "Sir, would you like me to do blood work as well?"
"No, that won't be necessary,"
"From what I can see right now, she is relatively healthy. She could use some more weight. She is on the thin side of a wolf. She is very small, almost fragile. Does she have siblings?"
"I think your father said she had a brother. He was older, though," Mom said as she put a new cold cloth on Macklin's forehead,
"She could be just small or even fall in as a runt. Do you know how she got those scars?"
Shaking my head, "No, We had just begun talking before she passed out,"
"I can tell you they are maybe five years or older. I see the damage to one eye, as it's cloudy over, but her other is normal."
"Maybe your father knows. He had spoken to her family when they arrived tonight,"
"Another thing: She looks to have bruising on her arms and shoulder area, but it could be nothing. She may have been bumping into things, for how little skinned she is, a bruise will show instantly,"
"How old do you think she is?" I asked him,
"Eighteen, maybe nineteen, but just glancing at her, you would think no older than fifteen,"
"Alright, thank you," I say to him as I move to sit next to her, "If you need anything else, just give me a yell. She should wake in about a half hour,"
Giving him a nod,
He walked out Just as my Father walked in, "Ah, doctor, everything okay?"
"Yes, Alpha, I was just leaving. She is resting for now,"
"Good," he clapped the doctor on the back, then walked over to us. His hand touched my shoulder,
"Gage," Looking up at him, "Why dont we let your Mother stay with her? There are some things I need to discuss with you,"
Looking back down at her sleeping, I give Mom a look,
"I will call you if she wakes up," She moved to wet the cloth again,
"Alright, let go," I stand, following my Father out of the room,
We went to his office. I could still hear the music from the ball. It was still going on. Walking into his office, I shut the door,
"What's going on?"
"Her father," Dad sat at his desk, moving to stand before it, "Hes going to cause some trouble. I can see it now,"
"What do you mean?"
"He is not happy about her being mated to you; he claims you tricked her, and with her sight problem, she was easily confused,"
"What the hell! She is my mate. I wouldn't lie about that!"
His hand came up, "I know that, Gage, but for some reason, he is not happy about it. He was demanding he leave with her,"
I started to pace, my wolf not liking what we were hearing,
"Gage, calm down; he has left for now. im sure in a few days he will turn up again trying to get her to go home,"
**************************Roman**********************************************
I walked into my office, slammed the door shut, Went over to the small bar in the corner, poured myself a drink, Tossed it back, and poured another one. Grabbing the bottle, I go over, flopping down on the couch, Pulling my tie off, tossing it on the floor,
How dare he keep her? He had no right. I am her father, her Alpha, she belongs to me,
Downing my drink, I filled it again,
That boy telling me what to do with my daughter, then his father forcing me to leave without her,
I have to come up with a way to get her back here. The rogues are going to be knocking on my door soon, and if I dont have a p*****t for them they will begin to attack us again,
I made that deal all those years ago. It got screwed up. I cant keep paying them. Our funds have begun to drop by giving them money; I wouldn't have to be paying if that dam rogue all those years ago did screw up. All he was to do was grab her and go, but no, she had to fight him. She was always strong-headed that way, and she loved Macklin,
Now he wants Macklin, and he will not bother my pack again. He didnt care about the scars on her face. He seemed so taken by her I had to beg him to wait till she was eighteen. That way, her wolf would mature. I know she shifted already; I felt it when she did. Ernie and Grace were with her, helping her,
I should feel guilty for making these deals, but I must ensure the pack survives, and I already have Colton. Girls are of no use to me. I needed a boy to pass my title to, and I got him. He will lead this pack just as well as I have, with an iron fist and fear,
He dont need to know about my deal with the rogues, and Macklin will ensure that it never gets out. The pack will be safe from them,
Now, to devise a plan to get her back, I can't storm in there. My warriors are no match for the Kings. Maybe I can trick or make her feel bad for turning her back on us. She is always easily scared into things; she is so timid; nothing about her is substantial. I dont see why the rogue Alpha wants so badly. All I know right now is I have to get her back. and soon,
