Nathan had the use of a map, which a travelling salesman, sitting at the next table, handed over to him. “Begging your pardon, but I couldn't help but hear you're about to undertake a journey west.” He nodded towards the creased up map. “This'll aid you as you cross the prairie. I won't be having need of it from now on.” Melody, looking up from her breakfast, frowned. “Why is that?” “Best not for you to ask, little lady.” He squeezed Nathan's shoulder. “You just take care,” he said mysteriously.
