Because the person in charge of protecting the Dragon Gold, the Dragon Lord Liam who was Aidan's darling cousin along with his clan was more focused on the gold outside the Dragon Realm than the gold they already possessed.
Aidan gazed at the dark clouds that had gathered above as if indicating an upcoming doom. It looked like it was going to rain soon but Aidan knew better than to think that it was going to rain in the Dragon Realm.
