Tryouts were brutal. I didn’t enjoy competing, but I did enjoy the workout. It’s been awhile since I had gotten a good run in.
Unfortunately they chose to put me and Mia on the team. Poor Mindi couldn’t aim to save her life, but she was happy all the same.
After tryouts we showered there and decided to eat at home instead of going out. Mindi drove home since she came in her own car. When we got home we dragged ourselves up to my room.
Liam and Oliver burst in and jumped right on us. It made me tense up and hurt my sore muscles even more.
“Where were you?” Liam asked.
“Volleyball tryouts,” Mia answered, shoving Oliver to the ground.
“Leo let you out of the house?” Liam looked at me suspiciously.
“I don’t have to ask him,” anger in my voice.
