Last night wasn’t as smooth as we could’ve hoped for, but it was a night I’ll never forget. Only problem now was the morning after my birthday.
Both Leo and I were called into the office. Marcos tossed a newspaper down on the desk. Leo had picked it up and scanned it. His face was unreadable. When he was finished he handed it to me and pointed at the article I was meant to read. The headline ‘Leo Vranizan’s new lover’ was accompanied by a photo. Someone had gotten a picture of me and Leo kissing on the ferris wheel. Luckily you couldn’t see my face because my hair had covered it.
“You mind telling me where you went last night?” Marcos asked, glaring at Leo.
“I took her to the fair. She had a pretty rough night and I thought she could use a little time away”
“Time away,” Marcos chuckle
